Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

Under Kirito's rapid leaps, it took only a few minutes to reach their destination.

Shizune, dressed in a tattered prison uniform, lay unconscious on the ground, seemingly injured from a battle. Ignoring Naruto, who was struggling to keep his breakfast down, Kirito and Tonton approached Shizune.

Tonton nuzzled her cheek, squealing urgently: "Puff! Puff!"

The small pig's effort seemed to work, as Shizune slowly opened her eyes and groggily muttered, "You're finally here."

"Senior Shizune, what happened?" Kirito asked.

"We encountered Mizuki and his accomplices—the idiot brothers. My team is chasing them now. Let's catch up!"

"Do you know where they are?" Kirito asked.

"This way," Shizune said, getting to her feet and running off. Kirito, Naruto—now recovered—and Tonton followed closely behind.

The group soon arrived at a large valley. In the center of the basin lay an open wilderness surrounded by towering cliffs. Their position was at the center of this massive "bowl."

"Shizune-senpai, are you sure this is where Mizuki escaped to?" Naruto asked, glancing around the eerily quiet area. Even he sensed something was amiss.

"Puff! Puff puff!" Tonton squealed from atop Naruto's head, tired of running.

Suddenly, a large boulder fell from the cliffs above, hurtling straight toward them.

Shizune leaped out of the way immediately. Naruto was about to do the same when he noticed Kirito standing calmly beneath the boulder.

"Kirito, move!" Naruto shouted.

Boom! To Naruto and Shizune's shock, Kirito raised his arms and caught the massive rock. Then, with a casual flick, he tossed it toward Shizune's position.

"What?!?" Shizune barely had time to react before the boulder slammed into her, sending her flying into the cliffs.

"Shizune-senpai!" Naruto cried, glaring at Kirito. "What are you doing? She was in that direction!"

Kirito smirked and pointed at the crater left by the boulder. "Haven't you figured it out yet? That wasn't Shizune. If it weren't for needing to draw out the rest, I'd have dealt with him already."

"Eh?"

From the crater, a muscular, white-haired man wearing a tattered vest emerged, coughing and clutching his stomach. "Monster…" he muttered.

"Who are you? Where's Shizune-senpai?" Naruto demanded, bewildered.

"Puff puff!" Tonton squealed, seemingly confirming Kirito's claim.

"You must be Mizuki," Kirito said, his gaze cold.

The man wiped blood from his mouth and smirked. "You're right. But how did you know?"

"For starters, Tonton was right there with you, and you didn't even acknowledge it," Kirito replied.

"Oh…" Naruto's eyes widened as he realized Kirito's point. Tonton, as Shizune's constant companion, would never be ignored by the real Shizune. "I didn't even notice…"

Mizuki chuckled, pulling out a kunai. "That little pig? I thought it was just emergency food."

Naruto scowled. "Wait, you're Mizuki? You look completely different from before!"

"Hmph, weren't you just a hopeless little runt who couldn't even perform a Transformation Jutsu?" Mizuki sneered.

"Tsk… damn it," Naruto muttered.

"It's all thanks to you, Naruto!" Mizuki shouted hysterically. "You sent me to that dark prison, giving me all the time I needed to train!"

So this guy got a prison training arc too? Kirito thought sarcastically. Is every world's prison a talent incubator?

"I'm not interested in your past," Kirito said flatly. "You've got accomplices. Bring them out. I'm not wasting time chasing them one by one."

"Yahoo—"

"We're coming now—"

Two loud voices echoed as two burly figures leaped from the cliffs, landing behind Mizuki. They were the infamous "Idiot Brothers"—Fujin and Raijin.

"Perfect, everyone's here," Kirito said, scanning the area with his Byakugan to confirm no one else was around. He guessed Mizuki's arrogance had led him to escape with only these two.

"Naruto, these three might have information on Orochimaru. Just keep them from escaping—I'll handle the rest."

"Huh? Oh, okay," Naruto replied, still processing the situation.

Kirito wasted no time. In an instant, he leaped forward and delivered a powerful kick to Mizuki's midsection.

"Ugh—" Mizuki, unable to react, was sent flying back into the cliffside, where he collapsed unconscious, foaming at the mouth.

"Big bro!" Fujin and Raijin shouted in unison. "Why'd you fly?"

Kirito glanced at the pair and couldn't help but think, They look like oversized versions of those old cartoon characters…

The brothers, enraged by Mizuki's defeat, charged at Kirito. "You'll pay for this!"

Boom! Boom! Two swift kicks sent Fujin and Raijin crashing into the cliffside, much like their leader.

"Brother… my stomach hurts," Fujin groaned.

"Me too…" Raijin whimpered.

When they both started to crawl out of the rubble, Kirito frowned. So they're the type with absurd durability…

Realizing his earlier attacks hadn't been enough, Kirito tightened his fists. This time, he smashed Fujin's head into the ground with a single punch, creating a deep crater. Fujin's eyes rolled back as he passed out, blood trickling from his mouth.

"Brother!" Raijin roared in fury. He charged blindly, only to meet the same fate—a devastating punch that knocked him out cold.

Kirito dusted his hands off. "Done."

Naruto finally snapped out of his daze. "Wait! You tricked me!"

"You agreed, didn't you?" Kirito replied with a smirk.

Naruto crossed his arms, sulking. In his mind, Mizuki—an important lead to Orochimaru—was supposed to be his catch.

"Fine," Kirito said, forming an ice spear in his hand and aiming it at Mizuki. "If you don't want to help, I'll just finish him off."

"Damn it…" Naruto grumbled, reluctantly hoisting Mizuki onto his back. "I'll take him. Happy now?"

Kirito crushed the ice spear and smiled. "Good. Next time, don't let Sasuke or Orochimaru cloud your judgment. You won't be able to seize opportunities if you're distracted."

Naruto nodded reluctantly. "Fine…"
