Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

"Are you sure you don't want to stay longer? You can choose when to return," Kirito asked.

The day after defeating Urashiki, Kirito reunited with Sasuke and Boruto in the grove where they had first arrived.

Sasuke responded firmly, "No need. We don't belong in this era. The priority now is to return to the future and deal with Boruto's Karma mark."

Boruto handed the Kara Device to Kirito and nodded in agreement. "That's right. I've already made my peace with everything here. Seeing Naruto and Jiraiya again and helping defeat Urashiki is enough."

"Alright then," Kirito said, beginning to channel his massive chakra reserves into the Kara Device. "You're always welcome to return. If I fill it with enough chakra now, the device can take you back multiple times."

Sasuke and Boruto watched in amazement as Kirito, using only his wooden clone, poured chakra on par with the Nine Tails into the device with ease.

Hum! The Kara Device, fully recharged, stirred from its dormant state. Its turtle-shaped head emerged, and it spoke, "The Kara Device is now active. Otsutsuki-sama, please set your destination."

"The rest is up to them," Kirito said, handing the device back to Boruto.

"Yes, received," the Kara Device replied. "Now, please confirm your destination."

Boruto quickly said, "Take us back to our original era."

"Shortly after we left, if possible," Sasuke added.

"Understood," the device replied.

The turtle's shell split open, revealing a golden core that began to glow. Moments later, the core expanded, enveloping Sasuke and Boruto in its radiant energy.

"If you ever encounter trouble, come find me. I'll help however I can," Kirito said, his curiosity about Boruto's future sparking briefly.

Boruto waved with gratitude. "Thank you for everything!"

Sasuke echoed, "We're in your debt."

"Take care!" Kirito called out as the glowing sphere engulfed them completely. The light shrank into a singular point before vanishing entirely.

I never expected to experience something like this. Boruto's timeline might have its faults, but it's fascinating to witness firsthand, Kirito thought. And thanks to Urashiki, I've filled in some of my own gaps.

Urashiki's memories had given Kirito invaluable insight, including the dormant powers within his body—pupil techniques tied to the Byakugan and various Otsutsuki bloodline abilities. Though unlocking these powers required time and effort, Kirito now saw the potential for further growth.

Who knows what else this body is capable of? Kirito thought, glancing at his pale palm.

Although Kirito's physical appearance was now taller and stronger than his peers, he was technically the same age as Naruto. By Otsutsuki standards, he was still extremely young, and a delayed awakening of power wasn't unusual.

I wonder how Little Leopard is doing? Kirito mused.

As a wooden clone, Kirito dismissed the idea of checking on Little Leopard in World Governance, knowing he would instantly become a puppet upon entering. He trusted his main body to handle the situation.

Pushing the thought aside, Kirito summoned the red fishing rod he had acquired from Urashiki.

The previous day, Kirito had reported to Jiraiya and Tsunade about Urashiki's defeat. He also let them examine the fishing rod, curious if they could use it.

Surprisingly, both Jiraiya and Tsunade could wield the weapon, but the fishing rod's constant chakra drain limited its usage. Even Jiraiya, with his formidable chakra reserves, could only sustain it for about five minutes before exhaustion set in.

Both Tsunade and Jiraiya theorized that the rod needed absorbed chakra to maintain itself, which Kirito confirmed. However, for Kirito, the rod felt as natural as an ordinary fishing rod, likely because he could recreate it with Yin-Yang Release, just as he could with black rods.

Satisfied, Kirito slung the rod over his shoulder and left the grove.

Inside Konoha Hospital, Tsunade greeted Kirito. "Have those two travelers already left?" she asked.

"Yes," Kirito replied, choosing not to reveal Sasuke and Boruto's true identities.

"What a shame," Tsunade said regretfully. "I wanted to thank them for helping us. I didn't expect them to leave so soon."

Kirito had explained that Sasuke and Boruto became involved in the battle because the enemy had targeted Naruto. Protecting Naruto had compelled them to fight alongside him. According to Kirito, the enemy was powerful enough that even he wasn't confident of victory. The strangers had risked their lives to save Naruto, earning Tsunade's gratitude.

"Don't worry about it," Tsunade said. "Jiraiya has already left the village to investigate the enemy's origins. We need to know if they're connected to the group targeting Naruto."

So Naruto's training trip with Jiraiya has been delayed? Kirito wondered. He realized this might alter the timeline he knew, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Meanwhile, Boruto and Sasuke emerged in their own time. Standing beneath Hokage Rock, Boruto looked up and shouted, "We're back!"

Sasuke watched Boruto's excitement before glancing at the dormant Kara Device in his hand. His thoughts turned to Boruto's Karma mark and the lingering danger it posed.

Konoha, still on high alert from Urashiki's intrusion, was filled with patrolling shinobi. Boruto and Sasuke's sudden appearance quickly drew attention.

"Boruto! Mr. Sasuke! What are you doing here?" Konohamaru exclaimed, rushing over.

"Take us to see Naruto," Sasuke said gravely. "Urashiki is dead, but we have more important matters to report."
