Naruto-The secret sage

While I say sloppy his technique was actually quite close to my own in how it worked but obviously far far less smooth and powerful. He couldn't be blamed for this as I had been integrating my senses with natural energy since the day I was born so fading into the worlds pulse was as natural as breathing for me while he was needing to figure it out one step at a time. Still I left him alone after having my fun and stopped focusing my mind and just let my senses flow freely.-

Eventually though I reined in my senses to my chamber and casually looked over my shoulder as Karin walked in. "What to go to Ichiraku?" I asked with a smirk.

"Yes!" she said excitedly while ignoring how I reacted to her arrival before she even arrived since she was used to it.

We left the house and walked casually to the ramen shop that somehow was not ever crowded despite it being an open secret that it had the best ramen in the village. Teuchi and his daughter were working behind the counter as we sat down.

"Old man, give us ten bowls each of the usual!" I said eagerly.

"Ah it's you two! You must have gotten back from your vacation, how was it?" Teuchi said as he went to work cooking up the food.

"The land of noodles had some crazy recipes as we toured the place and the land of hotsprings got kinda boring after a while so we came back early." Karin said with a smile.

"Oh? What kinda recipes?" Teuchi asked curiously without stopping his work.

"Well there was this one that had noodles made of cabbage that I absolutely loved with a mushroom and pork spicy broth. The weirdest though had to be the stone noodles that had literal rocks in them that you were supposed to eat." I said to start us off.

The conversation flowed easily as Karin and I talked about the things we saw and tried during our vacation. Teuchi had already served up five bowls of our order that we downed with gusto as we both missed the flavor. Even in a culinary wonderland like the land of noodles there was just something special about Teuchi's ramen that you could never find elsewhere.-

There was a few dishes that we mentioned that Teuchi was interested in trying out and wanted us to serve as tasters once he figured them out. We naturally agreed as we firmly believed that whatever he came up with would be delicious. After we finished eating we went back home and turned in for the day. The next morning we went back to our normal schedules as Karin and a mitosis clone of mine headed to the hospital. My main body however stayed home to begin working on the next volume of my limit collection , Water. -

Naturally I just transferred the Storm and Boil release information to it before moving on to a new Kekkai genkai. My choice was one I had previously mentioned when explaining Lava release, Mud release. A mix of water and earth chakras created this Kekkai genkai though interestingly the famed Wood release of the first Hokage was also supposedly made with this mixture as well. Anyways the records on the Kekkai genkai made me think it had a higher water chakra than earth so I started out with a fifty one water forty nine earth ratio before increasing the water side over time to try and find the right ratio.-

A bit of a misconception many people make is that you can just smash two chakra natures together to get a Kekkai genkai but the truth was that the fusion of the chakra natures only occurred at specific ratios or with special conditions. For example I only formed mud release chakra at an exact sixty six water and thirty four earth ratio. Mud release was frankly speaking one of the worst Kekkai genkai in the world for a few reasons. The first was that everything you could do with it was achievable with the two basic chakra natures that made it up.-

The second was that all of the jutsu you used with it came from the mud you literally spewed from your mouth which as you could guess didn't taste great at all. Ignoring the whole taste thing having such a predictable usage point reduced the lethality drastically so long as your opponent knew about it, simply avoid where the mouth is pointing. The third was that due to all the jutsu coming from your own chakra and not already existing elements in your surroundings it was a massive chakra sink. Still I liked being thorough and properly did my testing with the Kekkai genkai for my collection.-

Once done with that I moved on to what I considered one of the key Kekkai genkai needed to understand Zero release, Ice release. This Kekkai genkai was created through a mix of water and wind chakra to create ice. It had several uses and was considered an upper tier Kekkai genkai as it was incredibly dangerous to be faced with. First it could directly create a localized blizzard that was every bit as deadly as the real thing. Secondly the users could create constructs out of ice that effectively gave them an endless armory at all times.-

The arguably most impressive usage of the Kekkai genkai however was the unique ability to travel through their own ice mirrors which added on to the false images they could project unto them made it incredibly unpredictable to fight them. Much like Mud release the records made it seem as though water was the dominant chakra nature in the ratio so I started at the same ratio as Mud release and worked up from there. It took me three days to find the eighty three water seventeen wind ratio that created it.-

'How interesting, Ice release seems to have similar properties to the famed first Hokages Wood release despite the very different mediums they took form in.' I thought pleasantly surprised by this discovery.

Wood release had three unique aspects to it that gave it it's danger according to the records. The first was it's sheer scale and ability to spread rapidly. The second was the ability to drain the chakra of whatever it was used on thus creating an unparalleled suppression on tailed beasts. The third was the fact that it didn't vanish after it had been cut off from chakra.-

Ice release shared the first and last of these aspects in that it could spread over a vast area if used correctly and it remained there as normal ice after you cut off chakra flow to it. To clarify most chakra made constructs and jutsu vanish after chakra was cut off from them. Earth release structures crumble, fire extinguishes and water evaporates. Wind release is just air so that also vanishes after it no longer has chakra. Wood release and ice release to a degree don't vanish after they lose chakra but just turn into regular versions of whichever it is.
