NARUTO: The Saga of Crimson Monarch

Chapter 46: The Broken March

As the pale morning sun began to rise, a cold and unnerving silence greeted Ares and his companions. The landscape stretched before them in a grim panorama—a vast expanse of what had once been the Pit of Agony. But now, there was nothing but the scent of blood, rot, and despair. The air was thick with a damp chill, the ground slick with decay.

Ares stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest. His breath became shallow as he scanned the desolate scene. There were no refugees, no captives, no cries for help. The pit had been emptied, a once inhabited it had vanished without a trace. The grim reality began to sink in.

"No..." Ares voice cracked, his eyes darting back and forth. "Where are they? What have they done?"

Fenrir let out a mournful growl, Ely, the small dryad fairy, hovered nearby, her expression grim and silent. They all felt it—the heavy weight of what had been lost.

Ares kneeled, his hands trembling as they brushed the ground. He felt the remnants of people beneath his fingertips. A broken chain, a torn cloak, a weapon left discarded. His eyes widened in recognition.

"Ryogi… Kenji…Sato.. Yuuto everyone..." Ares whispered, his voice full of disbelief. "Their belongings… they were here."

Fenrir growled again, The past moments felt like a cruel twist of fate—Ares had come to rescue them, but now all that remained were remnants of their despair and suffering.

"What happened to them?" Ely's voice trembled. "Where are they?"

Ares stood abruptly, his mind racing. "They took them.…those bastards! They took them.!" His fists clenched in fury, his mind flashing back to the memories of Ryogi and everyone smile. "Enough. I'll end this madness now."

Without another word, Ares slammed his fist covered with Armament Haki into the ground, his immense power tearing through the earth. The floor cracked beneath him, sending a shockwave that shook the pit. He stood tall, his voice full of unyielding determination.

"So many lives lost… too many people already died because of this wait for me everyone,No more! i will save you all, This ends today!"

With that, they vanished into the air, his figure dissolving into the horizon like a storm ready to rage.

[Ken's Madness ]

In the distance, Ken prepared himself for the coming battle with a sickening sense of excitement. He stood in front of a full-length mirror, his samurai armor glinting in the light, his sword gleaming with malice. A twisted smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he reveled in the thought of the war to come.

"Finally… my little brother will face me. I can't wait to see him die before me," Ken muttered, his voice low and venomous. The thrill of the coming battle was palpable in his every movement. His hands trembled with anticipation as he adjusted the grip on his katana.

"I'll make sure you suffer, my little brother. You'll regret ever defying me."

Ken turned to his generals, his eyes wild with excitement. "Bring the captives. All of them. They'll fight for me, or they'll die for me. It's the same either way."

His generals nodded obediently, their faces twisted with greed and Zeno was watching aside "Yes, my lord," they murmured, scurrying off to carry out his orders.

Ken swung his leg over his horse, his armor creaking as he mounted. The thrill of the fight surged through his veins, and he shouted to his army.

"Move out! We march to battle! We'll crush those traitors underfoot and show them the true meaning of power!" His voice echoed across the battlefield, filled with a madness that only he could comprehend. The army surged forward, a wave of soldiers and broken captives ready to fight or perish. "Let's make this bloodbath memorable, my loyal soldiers!"

Meanwhile, Ryogi, Kenji, and the others trudged along, their bodies weakened from days without food or water. Their clothes were tattered, their faces gaunt, eyes hollow from exhaustion. They had become little more than shadows of themselves, broken by endless suffering and forced to march into yet another battle.

Ryogi stumbled, his feet dragging through the dirt, his sword hanging limply in his hand. Kenji caught him just before he fell, his own strength barely holding him up.

"How much farther?" Ryogi rasped, his voice barely a whisper. His throat was dry, the taste of salt and dirt coating it. "I can't go much longer…"

Kenji forced a bitter smile, even though his eyes were empty. "We don't have a choice, Ryogi. We have to fight. Even if we're nothing but corpses now."

Their broken bodies moved with slow, unsteady steps, forced forward by the cruel whips of Kando and Oki followers. The whips cracked across their backs, and the followers spat on them, laughing madly.

"Faster! Move, you worthless scum! The lord is marching ahead! We can't afford to be left behind!" one of them shouted, kicking Kenji in the back. "If you don't want to die like dogs, you better hurry up!"

Kenji gritted his teeth, trying to ignore the pain. His body was a mere shell of what it once was, but his resolve burned brighter than ever.

"I hope that brat Yachi's okay…" he muttered, his eyes distant. "That kid… he was too kind enough to help even his enemies. I hope he's still out there far away."

Ryogi nodded weakly, his eyes searching the horizon. "He'll be safe to the end, I know it. If he was here that brat will not hesitate to save us from this hell that brat was to kind enough "

But their hope was short-lived as the whips cracked again, forcing them to march forward. They were trapped, caught in the twisted games of men like Kando and Ken. But deep down, they still clung to the hope that Yachi, was safe and sound the one who had shown them kindness.

In the distance, Ares watched as Ken's mansion in a afar he hope he was not too late to save Ryogi and everyone, he dropped to a crouch, his fingers brushing the cold, damp earth. His breath steadied, his mind focusing. The captives, the prisoners—they were all depending on him.

"I won't fail you…" he whispered, his voice full of quiet determination.

With that, Ares shot into the sky, vanishing from sight, his mind set on the mansion ahead.
