A Few minutes later; inside the Hokage office:

Hiruzen is immersed in his paperwork trying and failing to finish it. From time to time, a silent curse or an irritated huff would escape him. 

He really hates paperwork.

On the couch on the side of the room, Naruto had just finished changing Mito's diaper and right now he has her laying in his arms drinking milk vigorously from her bottle. The room is quiet with only Hiruzen, Naruto and Mito inside. The Anbu are standing guard outside due to Hiruzen's order.

The quiet atmosphere was broken when a commotion was heard from outside. Before Hiruzen could inquire on what was happening, The room door was busted open violently revealing a very angry Tsunade and the Anbu trying to stop her.

As Tsunade was opening the door she was shouting angerly: "Namikaze, Where is my son? He better be alright or...". Her sentence was cut short when she saw that the one behind the Hokage desk was her surprised sensei and not Minato. 

Hiruzen's surprise disappeared quickly before he ordered the Anbu: "Stay out and keep guarding the room. Leave us to talk privately and close the door."

Tsunade's attention has already left Hiruzen. Her attention is now focused on her son that she saw sitting on a couch while comforting an infant in his arms.

The sudden loud entry to the room has scared Mito making her stop feeding from her bottle and start crying. Naruto left the bottle on the couch and hugged Mito to his chest with her crying little face resting on his shoulder. He patted her back and rocked her gently. He said in a calming tone: "shushhhhhh Mito, It is okay baby sister. Big brother is here. I will always protect you. Don't be worried sweetie, it is just our mama being worried about us." making her gradually stop crying.

Tsunade looked at the scene astonished while Hiruzen watched with a warm smile on his face.

'Even though he is young. He has a magical way to deal with babies and children. That is a successful future father right there.' said Hiruzen jokingly to himself. 

After Mito stopped crying, Naruto laid her again in his arms and dried the tear stains on her cheeks. He then gave her a loving smile while tickling her chubby cheek with his finger tips making her let out a cute giggle. After making sure that Mito was now comfortable, he resumed feeding her and then looked at his mother's astonished face.

Naruto let out a small embarrassed chuckle before saying soft tone: "Hey mum, I really missed you." 

Tsunade looked at her son's eyes for a second before rushing forward and taking him into her embrace. She hugged him closely to her chest while minding the baby in his arms.

The look in her son's eyes made her mind go haywire. The usual innocent and somewhat naive look was nowhere to be seen in her son's eyes. It was replace with a hardened, sad, lost, and grieving eyes.

That all didn't come near what she also saw in his eyes. Eyes that made her heart almost burst in anger. Eyes she know too well. Eyes she saw in almost all the Shinobi.

The eyes of someone who spilled blood. Eyes of someone who has killed before.

Why does her 8 years old son has that look in his eyes? She left him for about a week only to come back to find him almost entirely changed.

She is trying her hardest not to lash out in fury and anger. If she didn't get a full picture on what happened, She is going to kill anyone who stands in her way of getting it.

With Naruto still in her embrace she looked at Hiruzen with a piercing look and said in a calm tone with a hidden fury behind it: "What happened and where is Minato?"

Hiruzen Sighed Before telling Tsunade all about the night of the Kyuubi's attack.

After hearing about what happened that night, Tsunade stayed silent for some time before saying pissed off tone: "So from what you told me, Minato took my son from the fire capital and brought him here to make him the new Kyuubi Jinchuuriki without telling me. Farther more, he and Kushina died leaving their daughter as an orphan for me to take care of? If Minato was still alive I would have killed him myself." She finished with an irritated but saddened tone.

The news of Kushina's death hit her hard. The two of the had a deep sisterly bond. As for Minato, She lost most of here sympathy for him the moment she found out that he turned her precious son into a Jinchuuriki without her consent.

She was taken out of her thoughts when she saw her son burping the now fed Mito. After that, The baby let out a cute yawn before falling to sleep.

"Looks like I now have a beautiful little daughter. I have to say she is a very cute baby." Tsunade said with soft smile while looking at the sleeping Mito.

She then looked at Hiruzen with a deeply darkened face and said in a seething tone: "What you told me wasn't the whole thing. Why does my son have the eyes of someone who experienced killing?" making Naruto flinch in her embrace.

Hiruzen felt a chill go down his spine. He knew withholding any information from Tsunade while she is in that state will spell doom for him. He had no choice but to tell her.

When Hiruzen finished telling Tsunade about what happened to Naruto from his treatment from the villagers to the attack on his and Mito's life, She stood up and marched to exit the room.

"Where are you going Tsunade?" said Hiruzen in an alarmed tone as he stood up.

"I am going to put an old fossil in to the ground where he belongs." said Tsunade in a menacing tone as she left the room.

Hiruzen ran behind her calling out to her to try and stop her. The commotion made some Shinobi, Anbu and even Hiruzen's two old teammates (Koharu and Homura) appear to see what is happening.

When Tsunade neared the exit of the Hokage building, Hiruzen sped past her and stood in front of her blocking her way.

"Tsunade, can't we talk about this?" said Hiruzen in a bit of a frantic tone.

"Move out of the way Hiruzen Sarutobi. What is there to talk about? That damned teammate of yours orchestrated an attack on my son and adopted daughter in the middle of my grandfather's village no less. He even made my son an assassination target by leaking out his Jinchuuriki status. Nothing short of his filthy head will please me." shouted Tsunade in a furious tone.

Those whom didn't know Naruto's identity among the overlooking crowd were shocked to the core. The boy that was attacked is Tsunade's son. The boy who is the great-grandson of their Shodaime, was thought of as a demon. This situation's outcome is looking bleak.

Hiruzen bowed his head towards Tsunade shocking her and everyone around while saying in a slight pleading tone: "Please, Tsunade. I know Danzo is way out of line. I already disbanded his Root and placed him under house arrest. Lets talk about a solution that will satisfy you other that killing him. Even thought what he has done is unforgivable. He is still my old teammate." 

"Please, Raise your head sensei. At least respect your position as Hokage. That damned Danzo should be the one bowing." said Tsunade in a bit of a panicked tone that lost most of its anger. But Hiruzen didn't raise his head much to her irritation and embarrassment.

"Sensei, You are the Hokage. You represent our village. You shouldn't bow to anyone. And here you are bowing to protect the same person that always causes you and the village trouble. That worm had done many unforgivable things that would have killed him long ago if not for your protection." said Tsunade in an irritated tone.

"I know Tsunade." Said Hiruzen in a defeated tone with his still bowing down before continuing : "I don't ask you to forgive him. I just ask you to spare his life. Even with the trouble that he put me through, we were teammates that went through a lot together. I just can't find it in myself to see him get killed."

"Fine, sensei. Just raise you head." said Tsunade with an irritated sigh after a few moments of contemplating on what to do.

Hiruzen raised his head and gave Tsunade a smile before saying: "Thank you Tsunade."

Tsunade gave him a pirceing look with a cold face before saying: "Don't celebrate too early old man. There are conditions that must be met if you don't want me to have his Head." 

"You can ask for anything Tsunade." said Hiruzen with some relief in his voice.

"One, Danzo will never have The Root back. Two, He will be relived from his seat in the council and won't have a say in the village affairs again. Three, I don't want to see him near me or my children. If these conditions aren't met or were broken, I will demand his head. If you tried to protect him again, I will announce the separation of the Senju clan from Konoha and take my children and leave Konoha. I will also be taking with me anything that belongs to the Senju like any money, businesses or Jutsu that was provided by the Senju including the forbidden scroll of seals." said Tsunade with finality shocking all those around her specially Hiruzen and his two teammates.

Many of the people who heard the threat didn't know how serious it is. But Hiruzen and his two teammates know too well what the consequences will be if what was said came to pass.

It is a ruthless ultimatum that has Konoha's future at stake.

The Senju, as one of the Two founding clans of Konoha and the one that contributed the most in its foundation, they own from 35 to 40 percent of Konoha. That large percentage is a lot of land and businesses in the Senju name that generate a lot of income and revenue for the clan and the village. Even though the Senju clan is reduced to two members, the land and businesses are still thriving under civilian or other clans employment and management. This is why Tsunade could keep her awful losing streak in gambling without ever running out of money. And since she stopped that habit, the Senju's wealth continued to soar even higher. 

No one or clan in the village has the financial capacity to buy all of this off Tsunade if she decided to leave the village. And if Tsunade left the village with such a large amount of money and recourses, it would immediately cripple Konoha's economy spelling doom for the village.

And about Jutsu, Many of the jutsu that Konoha shinobi has access to are from Senju origin with the shadow clone being a prime example.

The forbidden scroll of seals is a scroll that was made by the first and second Hokage that contains numerous extremely powerful jutsu. The lowest rank is an A rank. It is a precious source of knowledge and power. If you need to access the scroll you need special permission from the Hokage. The many jutsu inside the scroll are forbidden due to moral reasons, difficulty of learning them or the danger of its use on the user's life. 

Tsunade really knew how to make ultimatum. She is basically telling Hiruzen that if that he protected Danzo again if that damned warhawk broke her conditions, she will effectively lead the village to ruin.

She is telling him if the time come, he will have to choose between his old teammate or the village's future.

Even though the village is founded by Tsunade's grandfather. Nothing right now is more precious to her than her son's life and happiness. If the village posed any danger towards her son, then to hell with the village.

"Can't you change these conditions a little bit, Tsunade?" Asked Hiruzen with a hidden hint of desperation in his voice. But the look that Tsunade gave him told him that what she said was final and there won't be any change.

Hiruzen stayed silent for a while before sighing in defeat and saying: "Fine Tsunade, I agree to those conditions. "

"Hiruzen, you can't agree to that." Said Koharu in a slightly heated tone with Homura nodding in agreement with her.

Hiruzen looked at her with piercing look and said in a cold tone: "If you can give us better conditions to compromise then say it" making Koharu shut up.

"We have reached an agreement sensei. Make sure to honor it or there will be consequences. I will take my leave. If you want to see me, you will find me in the senju compound. " said Tsunade before returning to the Hokage office and taking Naruto and his little sister to the Senju compound in Konoha.

Everyone who witnessed or heard of what happened knew that Konoha's Hokage and his teammates are on very thin ice with Tsunade.

Later in the evening; Inside the Senju compound;

Tsunade and Naruto are sitting on a dining table eating dinner in silence with Mito sleeping in a crib nearby.

Tsunade already sat with Naruto to talk about the attack and to try to get him over his first kills. She told him that those people came with the clear intent to kill him and his sister so he shouldn't feel bad about it. She told him that killing is bad but a necessary thing to do in this world. As long as he only killed for a clear purpose, like protecting himself and his loved ones, without feeling any satisfaction of doing so, then he is on the right path.

Hearing his mother say that while in her embrace, made him feel a lot better. A lot of guilt and sadness was lifted up form his mind making him be at peace with himself.

"Mum, we can't return to the fire capital, can we?" Said Naruto as he stopped eating and looked at his mother.

Tsunade stopped eating and looked at her son with a bit sadness before saying: "I am afraid so, Naru. That man has already leaked your status as a Jinchuuriki. The news of you being my son and the senju heir may leak too. Staying here is our best and safest option."

Naruto stayed quiet for a while thinking. Then he said: "what about our things in the capital? All of my thing are still there."

"Don't worry honey, I already sent a reinforced shadow clone to collect our stuff. We will have all of it the day after tomorrow." Said Tsunade with a small smile making Naruto nod before both of them continued to eat their food.

After finishing their food, they got ready to go to bed. Tsunade insisted that Naruto sleep beside her so Naruto moved Mito's crib to Tsunade's room. Tsunade just want to sleep with her son between her arm. What happened the last few days made her extremely worried about him. 

After awhile of falling asleep; In Naruto's mindscape;

Naruto opened his eyes to find himself in a strange place. The place resembles a sewer with water on the ground up to his ankles and a lot of pipes running through the walls. At the end of the sewer there is what looks like a closed gate with a paper stuck to the middle of it with 'Seal' written on it.

From behind the gate, The huge figure of the Kyuubi appeared surprising Naruto.

"So you finally came to visit me." said the Kyuubi in a booming voice.

Naruto neared the gate while looking at the Kyuubi. He said in astonishment: "I have seen you before, but you are absolutely massive when I am this close to you."

Naruto stood before the gate and said with a bright smile: "Nice to meet you, I am Naruto Senju."

Kyuubi gave him an amused smirk before saying: "I already know that brat."

Naruto pouted at him and said: "you are supposed to Introduce yourself as well."

"Boy, you may be the first decent human being I have met in centuries, but you haven't earned the right to know my name yet. For now call me Kyuubi." said the Kyuubi.

"Ok, As you wish. That seems fair as it is our first official meeting." said Naruto with a smile on his face.

He then looked around for a bit before looking back at The Kyuubi with a frown on his face: "From what I read this should be my mindscape. Why is it gloomy and in a shape of the sewer?"

The Kyuubi laid on its front legs\hands making its face almost directly in front of Naruto. It then said: "I don't really know but I have an Idea. After the sealing happened, I woke up a couple of hours before you were attacked. Before you where attacked, the place was like a blank black void with a solid soil ground. But after the attack It turned to its current gloomy state, I think if you don't actively control your mindscape, it will subconsciously take shape according to your mode and emotions." 

Naruto nodded in understanding before closing his eyes.

The Kyuubi looked intrigued to see what the boy was doing. Before he could ask, A blinding light fill the mindscape making it get up and close its eyes.

When the light dimed it opened its eye only to be astonished by its new surroundings. The gloomy sewer was gone. It was replaced by a huge lush forest filled with very tall tree but not very crowded so it can let a star filled night sky be seen. The kyuubi itself is still behind the gate but it looks like it is now closing a cave like den with soft grass covering the ground. All in all, The new mindscape looked like a copy from the outside beautiful forests. 

"This is a lot better don't you think?" said Naruto making The Kyuubi break its focus and marveling about its new surroundings and look at Naruto with surprise.

Naruto smiled at the huge fox and said: "I made the sky to be exactly like outside. Meaning, when its day time outside it will be daytime here, same thing for the evening. As for the gate, It is the seal itself so it is very complicated. I will have to at least reach Master level in fuinjutsu before trying to make you more comfortable."

The Kyuubi looked at Naruto for a couple of moments before saying with gratiude: "Thank you."

Naruto gave it a bright smile before saying: "That is the least I can do. I promised you, didn't I?"

The Kyuubi gave him its first happy grin in centuries. Ever since the Kyuubi was first sealed, His two previous Jinchuurikis didn't treat it well at all. Even Kushina had it and its tails pinned to a moon like structure and wrapped with chains in her seal. So to finally have a host that treat it with compassion and respect is an extremely nice experience.

Suddenly, it heard a yawn coming from Naruto causing it to break its line of thoughts.

"I will go and return to sleep now. I will try and come back here at least once every day. I will convince you to tell me your name and about yourself." said Naruto with a tired smile on his face. He then closed his eyes and disappeared from the front of the gate.

The Kyuubi looked at the spot Naruto was for a while. It then laid down on the soft grass and said in a content tone: "You really are an interesting kit, Naruto Senju." before proceeding to fall asleep.
