Naruto: The Namikaze Resurgence

Chapter 29: Discussion

In the Hokage's office:

Analysing the certificates, Hiruzen's brows creased in confusion. Constructing fake records was a daunting task in of itself, yet to be able to do it with the assistance of another nation... It must've been at a cost! As such, Hiruzen raised his query, "How did you do this Saruto-san? To be able to create a completely fake record in Yukigakure."

Yukigakure, the village hidden in the snow, is located in the Land Of Snow; a nation, prominent in its snowy terrains, and known for its harsh, inhabitable climate.

Hayato answered, "Right, it was because I resolved a conflict there. I'm on good terms with the Daimyo."

Hiruzen's eyes unfurled in familiarity, and he complied, "Ohh, right, you had explained the crisis in Yukigakure, and sought permission to personally solve the problem alongside your comrades."

"Yes," Hayato acknowledged with a nod, motioning with his hands as he traversed memory lane, finding the words to elaborate on the farce...

During his journey, he encountered an actress in the land of fire. Her name was Fujikaze Yujie. She was around 19 years old. Their interaction would've never occurred if he hadn't noticed the people tailing her, as though to kidnap her. As such, he helped her, and she was reluctant to speak the truth. However, her advisor, Asama Sandayu, sought Hayato's help, informing him of a major crisis in the land of snow. And so, along with a few comrades, Hayato decided to help.

A lot happened. Fujiekaze Yujie was actually the daughter of the former leader, Kazahana Sosetsu; her real name was Kazahana Koyuki. She took a fake name to keep her identity concealed, very much like Hayato's situation, but in different circumstances.

Sosuke, the former leader, had utilised a machine that would melt the snow, enabling the country to prosper, and removing the difficulties of the citizens that reside there. However, his brother, Kazahana Dota, thought differently.

Dota intended to use the heat-generating technology to melt the entire Land of Snow. His goal was not to improve living conditions for the people but to eliminate the perpetual snow and create a water source that he could control. By doing so, he aimed to gain control over the country's water resources and increase his power and influence.

Doto's plan involved using the heat generators to thaw the Land of Snow, but his motivations were ultimately selfish and driven by a desire for dominance rather than a genuine concern for the well-being of the populace.

All of this information had been mentioned in the reports that Hayato had sent to Hiruzen, and Hayato had managed to neutralise the threat along with his comrades. Additionally, Fujikaze Yujie, or rather, Kazahana Koyuki, became the Daimyo of Yukigakure. Hayato explained the entire situation to Hiruzen.

Hayato continued to deliberate, "They were thankful for my cooperation in eliminating the threats and said I was in their debt, and so, that's how I got the fake certificate."

Hiruzen scrutnised the certificate, his eyes focused on the details of the 'couple.' The said couple were Uzumaki Saruto, and Uchiha Kaede, along with a fake identity of the kid, Uzumaki Karin. Everything added up.

Hiruzen concurred, "I see."

Turning his gaze to the timid girl hiding behind her mother's leg, he continued, "This is well prepared. So you'll continue your disguise by the name of Saruto, am I right?"

Hayato nodded, "Yes, well..."

He paused, his fist cracking in irritation before he questioned, his tone laced with annoyance, "This was supposed to be perfectly executed, but now that Naruto's status as Jinchuruki is revealed... Is there really any point in maintaining this facade?"

They had planned everything out, and there was no chance they would cast it all aside. Listening to them, Karin had no idea what was going on, but Kaede's eyes widened and she raised her concern in a questioning pitch, "Hayato dear, sorry, I don't think I heard you. Naruto's status was revealed?"

Hayato looked back to his stunned wife, whose eyes swirled with trepidation, and answered, "Yeah. Everyone knows, so I'm wondering what even is the point of hiding my identity when Naruto's exposure is a much bigger concern now. I mean... It doesn't really matter if we reveal he's the son of Lord Fourth, you understand, right Kaede?"

Kaede poised with a finger beneath her chin, and chimed in support, "Exactly, that's true."

Hiruzen intoned, "But I do believe it was in the best interest for your child's sake too."

Turning her flickering gaze to the Hokage, Kaede interrogated, "But the whole thing is a mess now... Lord Third, what happened?"

Hiruzen seemed hesitant, but ultimately gave in, and spoke, "Though there's no proof, it was most certainly Danzo."

"!"

A sharp exclamation rang in the air as Hayato and Kaede conveyed their shocks at the name of the perpetrator. His name echoed in their minds, regaining a sense of familiarity of the sinister man who had tactfully pulled the strings and orchestrated this entire setup!

Gnashing his jaws, his eyes bloodshot, Hayato cursed aloud, "That old coot!"

"Dear, don't use such words in front of the child," Kaede interjected, covering Karin's ears in the nick of time. Karin gazed up at Kaede in confusion, to which Kaede merely cast a simple smile, and tickled her, to which she chuckled.

Hiruzen advised, "Please restrain yourself Hayato. I didn't say this last time because you were angry. If you do anything to him, do understand there will be repercussions."

The room was hushed, with the only sound heard being Hayato gnashing his teeth in rage.

Hayato verbalised his inner turmoil, "That damn... old coot! I've always despised that man and his twisted mentality. I should just-"

"Dear, let's not stir another problem. Right now, Naruto is waiting," Kaede intervened.

The tension in the room had heightened, veiling the room in an uncanny silence. Hayato's rage was vivid, evidenced by his features scrunched in revolt.

Hayato's lips quivered in agony, before he voiced, "Thanks Kaede. I guess you're right, I'll relax for now."

Hayato redirected at Hiruzen in a domineering tone, "Knowing this information, what did you do?"

Hiruzen seemed hesitant once again, but continued, "Hayato, I apologise, but I couldn't do anything. As I said, it's merely suspicion, but someone else had already taken the blame, and I can't even pinpoint if it was Danzo."

Hayato gasped, arching a brow, "Someone else took the blame in his stead? Is that what you're telling me?"

"Most likely, yes," Hiruzen approved.

"I see, that's exactly how he rolls." Hayato snapped back, unperturbed.

Hiruzen added, "And the council also seemed to be in support. They allowed the mistreatment against Naruto as it allowed the villagers to unite, and dispel the negative aftertaste of the Kyuubi attack!"

Retracting his gaze from the old man, and turning his back, Hayato intoned, "I'm not surprised." Slowly approaching his wife, he inaudibly whispered, "Those damned wretches!"

He was insinuating at the council!

Now that her peer was beside her, Kaede chided along, "He's always been a suspicious man, one we must always be vigilant of. Even Minato-san and Kushina-san were wary of that man, he's just not trustworthy."

Hiruzen opted for silence, unable to dismiss the truth in her statement.

In a tone laced with agitation, Hayato inferred, "We're gonna have a meeting in the future, right?"

As though anticipating the question, Hiruzen nodded in agreement, and supported, "Yes, most definitely. With ROOT at his disposal, Danzo will be the first to be notified of the adoption, and the council will most definitely be summoned at a later date."

Hayato voiced, smacking his palm with his fist with a resounding smack; "Great, then I'll show him a piece of my mind when the time comes. I guess I can wait patiently."

However, the man seemed far from patient. This conversation aggravated him to no end, so much so, that he really wanted to dismantle the entire council apart!

Changing the topic, Kaede intervened in a disheartened tone, "Hayato dear, can we go... there? I need to see them."

Draping an arm around her, Hayato responded, "Yeah, I'll take you there."

Kaede was hinting at the cemetery.

Hayato turned his gaze back on Hiruzen one last time, and advised in his tone of finality, "Lord Third, I suggest you keep that man on a leash. If you're gonna leave him to his shenanigans, I'm certain that one day..."

Hayato paused, enveloping the space in an eerie silence. Kaede covered Karin's ears as though anticipating his next words, and Hiruzen had unconsciously drawn in a breath of cold air. He too, could decipher Hayato's follow-up statement without him saying it...

But he was going to hear it anyway!

Hayato's crimson eyes cradled an ominous vibe, and his lips parted, in which a subtle wisp exited his mouth, and he completed in a domineering tone, "I will be forced to kill him!"

With this declaration, an untraceable chill lingered in the air, and a momentary silence ensued. Kaede remained stoic at Hayato's confession, while Hiruzen slightly shuddered as the death-sentence echoed in his mind! The prickling touch of perspiration ran down his wrinkled cheek, as he knew the words of the man were no bluff; it was a threat!

The man before him cared not for his position and cared not for hierarchical values. He will abide by what he deems to be correct, and should anyone object, it shan't end well for them.

He cares not for the repercussions of his actions, and if it is to defend his loved ones, he will dye the canvas in blood, for he wields the power to act upon his will!

With great power, comes great responsibility after all.

Finally, Hiruzen inaudibly gulped, before he denoted, "I'll keep that in mind."

He too, understood that there is a set boundary to his leniency and that nothing will come without a cost. Hayato's statement wasn't merely one of threat, but a wake-up call to act upon the wicked!

With his declaration, Hayato vanished from the spot with his family, leaving Hiruzen in contemplation.

The activity of the village hidden in the leaves had diminished, marking the end of today. The civilians embraced the warmth of their homes, entering a deep slumber as they awaited the next arrival of dawn-break. The aura exuding from the households was that of nonchalance, relief, and love. Quite frankly, at this time of night, not a single soul would think of entering the cemetery, yet in that very area were 3 individuals, and all 3 kneeled before a memorial.

One, an adult male with fiery crimson hair, and flickering crimson eyes as he eyed the familiar graves of his beloved brother and sister-in-law.

One was a child, her appearance mirroring that of her transformed father's, and an expression of sadness was etched across her face as she gazed up at her mother.

"Mama," she muttered.

The child was surprised, for she had never seen her optimistic mother shed inconsolable tears, and also clutching onto her husband for support, and her husband was the strong one, pulling both of them into his embrace.

The crying female was none other than Kaede. She thought she could just visit the memorial, but no... Now that she was in front of the graves of the beloved Minato and Kushina, the floodgates had opened, and her inner turmoil gushed forth!

Karin unconsciously sniffled alongside her mother, as she could not bear to see her state.

The moon bore silent witness to this heart-wrenching display, its illumination dimming as the clouds moved to obscure, subsequently enveloping the landscape in darkness. The cacophonous howls of the wind drowned Kaede's cries while she continued to embrace her husband, releasing her bottled-up sorrow...

NOTICE:

Yo. It may not be a big deal to y'all, but Imma voice my concern, and I kindly ask for your attention.

On April 8th, crossing North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada, it seems there'll be a Solar Eclipse, and it seems to align with the Biblical scripture.

I've seen videos regarding this peculiar eclipse, and I'm flabbergasted. It appears to align with the sign of Prophet Jonah.

I don't want to cast the wrong impression that I'm forcing you into the Bible or anything, but I'll just say I find solace in Jesus's teachings.

I firmly believe Jesus is Lord, and thought I should share this with you. I believe God is showing the signs, and I wanted to share with you about this.

I've only started reading the Bible, for a month maybe, but I should admit I'm not a very diligent reader, but I hope to be. I aspire to become a better individual; in fact, I think while reading it and praying to God, I feel more at peace... Or it might just be me, Idk, but I feel like I'm noticing subtle differences in my demeanour, and that is to say, in a positive way.

As a follower of Christ, I believe it's in my best respect to impart this crucial knowledge.

Jesus Is God.

I encourage you to seek solace in Jesus Christ, but ultimately, that's all up to you my friends. I believe, and have faith, that by embracing his essence, we may be lifted.

Regarding the eclipse, I doubt anything terrible will happen, and I sure hope nothing really bad happens. But one thing's for certain, I believe this is a sign from God, and a wake-up call to us all, and so, I'm sharing this with you.

We all know this world is in turmoil.

It may very well be nearing the end times.

As such, I pray for everyone's safety and protection in these tough times 🙏

Take care everyone, and stay safe.
