Chapter 29: Pre battle training
Chapter 29 Pre-battle training.
"Water Release: Water
Colliding Wave!" "Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!" "Water
Release: Water Severing Wave!"
The wind blade whizzed toward the
high-speed water waves, creating a cacophony as the wind and water collided. By
the time the combined ninjutsu reached Kiba, the water waves had transformed
into four vertical water blades, carving deep gullies into the ground. Soil
particles flew everywhere as Kiba's pupils shrank slightly. He leaped up,
barely avoiding the combined wind and water jutsu.
The water blades rushed past his
feet, the sharp cold air almost grazing him, tearing his pants with a
"chick" sound.
Combined ninjutsu! So powerful!
Kiba marveled, realizing the
impact of the wind element at the tips of the water blades. It was an
incredible display of control and power.
In Life Gate mode, with enhanced
speed, strength, and chakra, Kiba soared through the air toward the two shadow
clones of Uzumaki Kushina. One had released the Water Colliding Wave, while the
other had used Great Breakthrough. The Water Severing Wave he just dodged was
their combined technique.
Chakra condensed in his hands,
Kiba jumped so swiftly that one clone didn't have time to react. In mid-air,
Kiba punched with explosive force.
"Boom!"
The shadow clone shattered.
Without missing a beat, Kiba landed, crouched, and swept out with his leg,
targeting the other shadow clone. The clone leaped lightly, dodging his
sweeping kick. Kiba narrowed his eyes, extended his left hand, and pivoted on his
right foot, using the momentum to kick upwards with his left leg, hitting the
clone mid-air. The clone dissipated into white mist.
Kiba immediately sprang up and
spun in mid-air, aiming a downward kick.
"Boom!"
Just as Kiba turned, the ground
beneath him erupted, and Uzumaki Kushina emerged with a powerful punch. Her
fist collided with Kiba's side kick, producing a muffled sound.
"Boom!"
The clone exploded into white
mist, and Kiba was sent flying by the punch, whirling in mid-air, completely
off balance.
Is this super strength? No, it's
something else!
As he spun, Kiba felt a strange,
cold sensation in his legs, a tingle unique to water-based chakra.
Water Release ninjutsu with a
similar effect to super strength?
Kiba deduced.
"Water Release: Water Dragon
Bullet Technique!"
A shout came from behind him.
Kiba's eyes widened in shock as he felt an overwhelming force and cold pressure
envelop him. The water pressure was immense, almost crushing his muscles and
bones.
Multiple shadow clones really are
versatile!
Despite the intense pressure, Kiba
bulged his cheeks, trying to preserve as much air as possible. The surrounding
water pressure immobilized him, preventing even the slightest movement.
From Hirohiko and Yukina's
perspective, Uzumaki Kushina's clone had materialized behind Kiba, unleashing a
water dragon that swallowed him mid-air. The dragon-shaped water carried Kiba
and collided with a large tree at the edge of the clearing. The impact was
thunderous, sending stars shooting across Kiba's vision as he slid down the
tree.
Hirohiko and Yukina, watching the
battle from a distance, turned pale, swallowing hard.
This is the true strength of a
Jonin—no, the true strength of our teacher, Uzumaki Kushina.
In just ten minutes, Kushina's
combined ninjutsu had defeated Kiba, who could previously withstand her shadow
clone's attacks for two hours.
Even though this time Kushina
herself fought, using both taijutsu and ninjutsu instead of just taijutsu, it
was still astonishingly fast!
Poor Kiba...
Uzumaki Kushina put down her
hands, indicating the match was over. Despite Kiba's defeat, she was impressed.
This kid destroyed three of my
shadow clones with pure taijutsu! His movements were so fluid and precise, it's
hard to believe a seven-year-old could perform them.
Every movement seemed honed to
perfection. If she had to describe it in one word, it would be
"standard."
It was the second day after
Uzumaki Kushina, Namikaze Minato, and the Third Hokage agreed on the
competition for the Chunin Exam qualifications. In two days, Kiba would compete
against Kakashi to determine which team, Kushina's or Minato's, could participate.
For the past two days, Uzumaki
Kushina had rigorously trained Kiba from morning till night, using her true
self and multiple shadow clones, incorporating both taijutsu and ninjutsu. She
also continued the devil training for Hirohiko and Yukina, using shadow clones
to ensure their progress.
Kiba gritted his teeth, feeling
his body ache as if it were falling apart. He knew this was Kushina's
restrained strength. If she had used the Water Dragon Bullet Technique at full
power, he would've been in much worse shape.
I wish I could clearly see the
hand signs to learn the jutsu...
Despite the pain, Kiba's mind
focused on learning ninjutsu.
"Let's stop here for today.
Tomorrow, focus on your daily training and try to recharge," Uzumaki
Kushina said, helping Kiba up.
Seeing that the battle was over,
Hirohiko and Yukina ran over.
Is it really worth it for a Chunin
Exam?
Kiba noticed the faint dark
circles around Uzumaki Kushina's eyes and felt a mix of gratitude and concern.
Over the past two days, Kushina had not only trained him rigorously but also
prepared highly nutritious meals for him, Hirohiko, and Yukina. She must have
had little rest.
Even with her Uzumaki clan's high
chakra reserves and vitality, her physical strength had limits.
Looking at her slightly haggard
face, Kiba sighed inwardly, nodding. "I understand, Sensei Kushina."
"Good," Uzumaki Kushina
nodded with a smile, looking at the setting sun. "It's getting late. Let's
go eat at Ichiraku Ramen! My treat!"
"Yay!" The three of them
cheered, their spirits lifting.
As they walked towards the
village, Hirohiko supported Kiba, while Kiba walked beside Kushina and Yukina.
Laughter and conversation filled
the air.
"Sensei Kushina, if I win,
will you treat us to a week of barbecue?" Kiba asked.
"Yes!" Hirohiko agreed.
"Kiba, you must win!"
Yukina's voice was filled with longing for barbecue.
"One meal! If you win, I'll
treat you to a barbecue. The teacher has no pocket money recently!"
Kushina said, checking her wallet.
"Huh? So stingy—" the
three of them complained.
"Boom boom boom!"
The sound of three heads being
knocked echoed.
The evening breeze blew gently,
carrying warmth as it swept across the open lawn marked by ninjutsu and
taijutsu practice.
