Naruto: The legend of Kiba

Chapter 125: Walking through

Chapter 125: Walking Through

The four of them walked all the

way, having left the main road, and under the leadership of Morino Shinsuke,

they shuttled through a dense forest. Morino was in front, Kiba was behind him,

Kiuchi Taketo trailed a bit farther behind, while Fujiki Shigeru kept touching

his mouth, checking the blood from his earlier fall. His mouth was broken and

hurt. No longer in the mood to talk, he fell behind quite a distance, cursing

the pit in his mind.

Suddenly, Kiuchi Taketo

accelerated a little and caught up with Kiba. His face was still stern, but his

eyes lacked the disdain and dissatisfaction from before. "Hey,

genius..."

"What do you want!" To

be honest, Kiba was still angry from using the ground sinking technique to

trick Fujiki Shigeru. Although it relieved some anger, he was still upset, and

Kiuchi Taketo's words weren't polite either, so Kiba's tone wasn't friendly.

However, Kiuchi Taketo wasn't

angry. He hesitated for a moment and then said, "Shiga asked me to thank

you."

Thank me?

Kiba, who was angry, froze for a

moment. The anger in his chest dissipated a lot. "Thank me for what?"

"I don't know. It's just that

before Shiga left for the mission, he told me that if I bumped into you, I

should convey his thanks," Kiuchi Taketo said, his eyes trying to avoid

meeting Kiba's gaze.

This guy... is he embarrassed?

Kiuchi Taketo's expression seemed

strange to Kiba. "I don't think I've done anything for Shiga to thank me

for."

"Cough!" Kiuchi Taketo

coughed lightly and said, "He said you taught him the possibility of

believing in idiots. Several missions were completed more smoothly because of

this concept. It saved his life, and he said he must thank you."

Kiuchi Taketo coughed again.

"He said this, I'm just telling you his exact words. Originally, he wanted

to thank you in person, but you haven't been around lately. He didn't know

where you lived, so he asked around, but everyone seemed reluctant to mention

you. So...that's why I'm telling you. After all, he was going on a mission and

couldn't find you. I declare in advance, these are his words."

Is this guy... the straight-talking type? Proud?

Communication barrier?

Kiba listened to Kiuchi Taketo's

words, half-closed his eyes, and saw Kiuchi Taketo tilting his head as if to

avoid saying more. Kiba instantly understood.

However, Kiba believed that Shiga

Taketake asked Kiuchi Taketo to say this. It was Shiga Taketake's sincere

thanks.

Then, it was Kiba's turn to feel

uncomfortable.

Yes, Kiba began to feel

uncomfortable. He didn't know how to respond to sincere thanks.

Kiuchi Taketo wasn't good at

communicating and was a bit arrogant. This thank you was also awkward. But Kiba,

who lived in loneliness, was also bad at communicating. Though being with

Kushina, Yukina, and Hirohiko improved his communication, it was only limited

to them and Tsunade and Jiraiya recently.

Moreover, it was the first time he

was thanked!

He didn't know what to say, how to

react.

Kiba was stunned,

"Oh..." and said nothing.

Seeing Kiba had nothing to say,

Kiuchi Taketo didn't say anything and fell silent.

"That..." After a while,

Kiba coughed. "Shiga, he's alright. I might be a bit harsh."

Why did I say that!

Kiba regretted it as soon as he

opened his mouth.

I also kicked Kento Kiuchi away. Knowing Kiuchi's

temperament, he must be brooding. Maybe he suspects it as a mockery!

Kiuchi Taketo paused,

unexpectedly, after being silent for a while, Kiba spoke. He coughed and said,

"Fortunately, many missions are out now, and many people like to team up

with him."

Taketo Kiuchi didn't think about

that part. In fact, Kiuchi Taketo was also nervous and didn't know what to say.

"Oh..." Kiba replied

again and added, "That's good."

"Yeah!" Kiuchi Taketo

replied.

Then there was silence again.

"Well, you are different from

ordinary geniuses." After a moment of silence, Kiuchi Taketo said, almost

gritting his teeth, but his tone wasn't derogatory.

Different from ordinary geniuses? Is this a

compliment to me?

Kiba frowned.

It should be...

"Thank you."

"Yeah!" Kiuchi Taketo

replied.

Then there was complete silence.

But Morino Shinsuke, who was in

front of them, was slightly surprised when he heard their conversation.

Kiuchi actually took the initiative to talk to

someone...and to a genius he usually hates. This feels like the sun rising in

the west!

And unexpectedly, Kiba seems to be a bit bad at

communicating.

Morino's eyes suddenly brightened.

"There's a lake ahead, and we are almost at the border! Cross this lake

and you will be in the Land of Grass!"

Lake?

Kiba froze for a moment. At the

moment of confusion, he stepped on the air and fell.

Kiuchi Taketo fell with him.

"Despair..."

Morino Shinsuke landed steadily on

the lake and started to move on, but there was a "bang,"

and water splashed everywhere.

Morino stopped and looked back,

only to see Kiuchi Taketo jumping sideways with a surprised expression, looking

at the water column stirred up around him.

"Enemy attack?" Morino

Shinsuke quickly judged, stretching his hand behind his back, posing a combat

posture.

But seeing Taketo staring at the

stirred water column with a dazed expression, he frowned slightly and shouted,

"Kento! Combat readiness! Tell me what happened!"

He looked again, only to see

Fujiki Shigeru flying out of the woods, leaping down, landing on the other

side, carefully guarding the place where the water stirred up.

But Kiba was missing.

"Where's Kiba?" Morino

asked hurriedly, seeing Kiuchi Taketo still in a daze. "Kento, focus! Tell

me about Kiba!"

Hearing the teacher's words,

Kiuchi Taketo reacted, turning with a subtle face, pointing to the place where

the water splashed. "There..."

Morino was taken aback.

Not an enemy attack? but...

Kiba fell into the water?

Morino's mouth twitched invisibly.

Damn, water walking training... I've never done it!

Kiba wanted to cry but slowly sank

into the water.

Now, shame on me!
