Naruto: The Hidden Protector

There was a solemn atmosphere when everyone heard Izanami's words. Although the three of them had no idea what this is all about, as ninjas they could somewhat guess what this trial is about. So that is why they all had solemn expressions.

The reason Kurama had been tied to a Ferris wheel in the first place was that he was being punished by Izanami. This prideful idiot had let his oversized fox ego get the better of him. Lately, he had been picking fights with Kushina over the smallest, most trivial things.

At first, Izanami had ignored it, hoping they would sort things out on their own. But even after a year, the two had yet to reconcile.

Just yesterday, Kurama's antics reached a boiling point. He picked a fight with Izanami herself when she casually remarked that Matatabi—the Two-Tails—was the most beautiful among them. It seemed Kurama couldn't let that one slide, and now here he was, getting a lesson in humility from Izanami. After all, like Naruto, this guy won't correct his ways just because of a simple beating.

" Now that your punishment is over, be a good fox and keep your stupid pride in check. Don't treat everyone like Shikaku and get riled up for every single detail. Do you understand Kurama? "Izanami asked, to which Kurama nodded frantically.

He should probably keep his mouth in place and sleep as much as possible to avoid getting caught in anything.

" That's right, Lady Izanami, you tell him. " Kushina nodded proudly as she stuck her tongue out at Kurama.

Kurama, hearing her words, got angry and wanted to pick a fight, but with Izanami this close, he didn't dare to. He just glared at Kushina with hatred.

" Kushina, that goes the same for you too. Don't try to pick a fight with Kurama for every single thing. Aren't you setting a bad example for Naruto? "Izanami admonished her. Like she was one to talk.

If either Nanami or Kaguya were here at this moment, they would make a huge list of how much of a bad example Izanami is to Naruto.

"Well anyway, now that all the distractions are over, let's get this trial over with, " Izanami said as she returned to her seat.

" Jiraiya with all the evidence pointed against you, this court judges you guilty for the crimes of shrinking responsibilities for Naruto after his parent's demise. Your punishment is to teach sealing jutsu in the ninja academy for the next 10 years. In addition to that, you would be Kurama and Kushina's playmate for the next 30 minutes. " Izanami said as she hit the gavel.

"I…" Jiraiya, hearing this, wanted to raise many questions and, most importantly, wanted to prove his innocence, but Izanami didn't give him a chance.

She threw him towards Kurama, who had a very evil smile. He was feeling very frustrated, so playing Jiraiya would let him blow off some steam. Kushina also followed him the next second. She was also not done with him. That earlier beating was just a warm-up.

While Jiraiya's miserable screams rang out, Minato wisely covered Naruto's ears with his hands. He knew better than anyone not to get involved with that. Truth be told, even he had some anger against his teacher, who failed to keep his responsibilities.
