Naruto: The Crimson Error

Chapter 141: 140. Hidden Masters

(Powerstones please 🥺)

"Well, a lot of things happened," Sora gulped, thinking of where to start.

The author was also confused about whether to time-skip this part or not.

Now, with both the author and Sora confused, the chapter is going to end here.

Thanks for investing your time.

"Well, we reached the Land of Hot Springs first to investigate Dorobou. After hearing some rumours, we learned of a legend about the Zashiki Warashi."

"Zashiki Warashi? A prank spirit?" Tsunade tilted her head.

"Yeah, kind of, and an evil spirit too. Anyway, we tried to find him, but we got trapped and exited the world?" Sora hesitated, thinking of how to explain.

"Exited the world? Like a different dimension?" Tsunade leaned forward.

She had heard about dimensions from a scroll exclusive to the Hokage.

Lord Second did a lot of research, and Lord Fourth was a practitioner of the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, so he also confirmed the existence of various dimensions and documented some of his experiences.

"Yeah, well, that's one way to put it. It was outside the 3rd dimension itself. We were kind of in a place where time was not constant and was continuously changing."

Sora explained this further with analogies and recounted the events with the sheep, and so on.

"Then we came across a very modern civilization, but it was destroyed by one of its own creations." Sora then spoke about artificial general intelligence.

Tsunade was hooked. She hadn't expected to hear something so interesting today.

She was wondering if it would be appropriate to open her secret stash of alcohol and drink while listening to Sora.

"Anyway, we saw this through that cat, got the orb, and now Sasera ate it," Sora pointed to the cat resting on the table.

"Interesting to think that this cat can not only perceive random events in space-time," Tsunade thought.

Animals that could use chakra were rare, and those with such abilities were even rarer.

She had only heard about the Elder Toad, who had a similar ability to give prophecies.

In her opinion, she was sceptical. She still thought that toad was a scam.

He probably got one or two prophecies right by dumb luck, and now everyone considered the toad to see the future when most of the time he was just sleeping.

"Anyway, our frame shifted again, and we came across two groups of shinobi fighting."

This made Tsunade sit up straighter. She had assumed nothing was related to their time.

"This won't affect causality, right?" Tsunade knew that Kakashi and Sasuke had already heard it.

If it did, Kakashi would have told Sora to mention the events to her and then seal everyone's memories. But she just wanted to confirm, just in case.

In the shinobi world, you can never be too careful.

"Yeah, it's not related to causality; it's from the past. Well, back to the two groups fighting—it was more appropriate to say it was a one-sided slaughter," Sora described Kasumi's skill.

"Then, Sasera somehow transported us back, and we were no longer in the outer dimension but in the 3rd dimension again."

"Wait, this cat can actually traverse space-time? Can it do so consciously?" Tsunade was shocked by the implications of Sasera's abilities.

"Yeah, she can do it consciously," Sora said, glancing at Sasera, who opened one eye and looked at him before closing it again.

She was always watching.

That might have creeped out some people if they knew a cat was always watching their every move.

But, unfortunately for the cat, Sora was not one of those people.

He had done a lot of stealth practice—stalking people—so he always anticipated someone watching his moves, even if he couldn't perceive it himself.

How fitting.

"Damn," Tsunade thought about the implications. This ability was more broken than the Fourth's Flying Thunder God.

"How frequently can she do it? Is it applicable in battle?" Tsunade was trying to grasp exactly what she was dealing with.

As Sun Tzu says, to defeat your opponent, you must understand both your opponent and yourself.

"Well, from what I know, it takes a lot of chakra, and I haven't seen her use this ability in battle, but..." Sora paused.

"But?" Tsunade prompted, curious about what more the cat could do.

This was becoming very interesting to her. At least she was free from the cursed paperwork that had taken down almost every Hokage in history.

"Well, she can do chakra enhancement. She blocked Sasuke's sword attack with her paws, so she could at least deal with a Jounin. I don't know what else she can do," Sora admitted.

Tsunade's eyes widened.

"Damn, actually, how much chakra does she have?"

Sora had mentioned that Sasera used up most of her chakra after a space-time transport, and it took days to recover.

"Why don't you check?" Sora pointed to Sasera, who opened her eyes and stretched out a paw.

She was a Uchiha-like cat, after all. Flaunting was in her blood.

Tsunade hadn't sensed her chakra yet, which meant Sasera was good at hiding it. The only way to find out was to touch her and measure it.

So, she did.

Tsunade's eyes widened when she measured the chakra capacity of the cat.

It was comparable to a Jinchūriki's chakra capacity—no, it was comparable to a tailed beast's chakra capacity.

There's a difference between the two. A Jinchūriki's natural chakra capacity, even without using their tailed beast's chakra, is naturally high.

It's due to their body adapting to the chakra "batteries" stored within them, to put it bluntly.

When they draw chakra from their tailed beast, the chakra amount skyrockets.

It's not even comparable.

That's why it's hard for a Jinchūriki to have good chakra control.

Whatever level of chakra control they have disappears when they go into tailed beast mode, even if they are calm, like Yagura.

To use their chakra control, they must inherently use chakra-intensive techniques.

For instance, KCM Naruto uses Rasenshuriken and its variants.

"Damn, no wonder she has chakra for transporting through space-time," Tsunade muttered.

"Yeah, anyway, next up we met one of the legendary Yamanaka clan heads, Kasumi Yamanaka."

"Yamanaka clan? Interesting."

Sora told her about how he was found, and how Kasumi made many assumptions from just hearing them.

"Truly a dangerous individual. Luckily for you, she was non-hostile," Tsunade noted.

Everyone in Konoha knew that a motivated Nara was dangerous.

This Yamanaka clan head was just an example.

"Not only that, she caught the water balls I threw at her and threw them back. She also replicated my Rasengan in just a glance, and even improved its efficiency," Sora revealed.

Tsunade.exe stopped working.

"Wait, what?" As expected of a Hokage, she quickly processed the information.

Still, she was really having an urge to drink alcohol.

Habits die hard.

"Yeah, her chakra control was that good. Do you think it's possible to do such things?" Sora asked.

Tsunade had heard about S-rank ninjas in their teenage years.

A lot of people have actually achieved this feat. Itachi, Deidara, Mangetsu (before 20), and countless unknown side characters exist in this world.

But doing such incredible things nearly 200 years ago? That was shocking.

'Has the ninja world actually declined, or is it the Ino-Shika-Cho in particular?' Tsunade wondered internally.

Even the Nara clan had considerably declined in their use of Fuinjutsu. They weren't utilizing it to become as fully lazy as they could be, which disappointed her.

"Yeah, it's possible. I can do it too, but not properly in a battle," Tsunade confirmed.

She couldn't help but feel a deep desire to meet this Yamanaka clan head. Kasumi would have been perfect for learning iryoninjutsu. Unfortunately, medical ninjutsu wasn't that developed in Kasumi's time, so she probably only had basic skills.

It seemed Kasumi was born in the wrong era—or perhaps it was the right era for her since she had thrived in it.

"Also, she was able to copy a rasengan in a single glance?" Tsunade focused on this part. Shape transformation too? What kind of monster was she?

"Yeah, she even figured out that the jutsu was inspired by tailed beasts," Sora added, mentioning Kasumi's extraordinary intelligence.

"History really had some remarkable figures," Tsunade mused. Despite Kasumi's abilities, she wasn't as famous as Hashirama or Madara.

It was probably intentional. If she had wanted, she could have dominated her entire era.

Who knows how many other secret masters like her have been hidden throughout history?
