In the vast ocean, two warships of the Cloud Village escorted several supply ships sailing steadily. The Cloud Village ninjas aboard were completely unaware that an enemy was lurking directly beneath them.

Suddenly, with a loud "Boom!!!", a massive water column surged skyward, capsizing one of the supply ships. Strange coral reefs began forming on the overturned vessel, rapidly multiplying and adding weight until the ship started sinking.

"Enemy attack!!!"

The sudden assault left the Cloud Village ninjas in chaos. They frantically searched for the enemy, scanning the surroundings as if facing an imminent, invisible threat.

"In the water! Be careful!!!"

Amid the alarm, a loud crash followed as two large holes appeared at the base of the warships. Seawater gushed into the cabins, sinking the vessels quickly. Having completed his mission, Yagura disappeared into the deep sea, leaving no trace.

Yagura had no intention of engaging in direct combat. For him, killing Cloud Village ninjas was meaningless compared to the strategic destruction of their ships. By sinking more vessels, he could deal a heavier blow to the Cloud Village with far less effort.

The sinking ships left the Cloud ninjas struggling to survive, unsure if they could even return alive. Yagura didn't waste time chasing them—why bother when the ships' destruction achieved his objective more effectively?

As reports of the attacks reached the Cloud Village, the Third Raikage received the news from the surviving ninjas with mounting frustration.

The Third Raikage clenched his fists, resisting the urge to smash the table. He knew that breaking the table aboard the ship could cause unnecessary damage.

This nickname hit a sore spot for the Third Raikage. Without ships, the Cloud Village's ability to continue the war would collapse. Swimming across the ocean was impractical, no matter how skilled the ninjas were at walking on water. The distance would exhaust even the strongest among them.

The thought of Cloud ninjas flailing in the ocean while trying to reach the battlefield was so absurd that the Third Raikage quickly banished it from his mind.

"Strengthen the ships' defenses."

With no immediate counter to the Mist Village's guerrilla tactics, the Third Raikage issued this order, though it felt increasingly frustrating.

The enemy's approach was infuriatingly effective. They remained hidden in the sea, launching sudden attacks that targeted the ships directly, rather than the ninjas aboard. It was clear that the Mist Village aimed to exploit the Cloud Village's dependence on maritime transport.

"Smash their ships first! Forget chasing ninjas—we'll target their vessels!"

Even in their home territory of the sea, the Mist ninjas wouldn't be able to function effectively without their ships. With this shift in tactics, the Third Raikage set his sights on destruction rather than direct combat.

Meanwhile, in Konoha, after receiving intelligence reports shared by the Cloud Village, Shinki read the details in stunned silence before finally muttering: "Talent."

"Can wars even be fought like this?"

"It seems both sides have run out of patience. This war between the Mist and Cloud Villages will likely turn into localized skirmishes moving forward. Whoever came up with this tactic is truly something else."

Tsunade scanned another report and added, "Apparently, it was Yagura of the Mist Village who started this. As the Fourth Mizukage, he's as elusive as a fish in water. The Cloud Village can't catch him at all."
