Chapter 221: Chapter 221: Little Yellow Sun, the Teacher Will Take You to See the Five Shadows Disco!

Despite his trust in his disciple Namikaze Minato and confidence in his abilities, Shinki couldn't help but lament the situation. Orochimaru, one of the strongest candidates for the Hokage's escort, was unavailable, being tied up with critical operations on the frontlines. As for Hatake Sakumo, the "Hokage Half-Sleeve" controversy ensured that he remained a divisive figure.

Tsunade sighed as she watched the Hokage's advisors quietly exchange glances. The conflict around Sakumo was clear as day, but no one dared to voice it openly.

"Negotiating with Shinki might be the only viable solution," Tsunade said.

The Third Hokage nodded in agreement. "That's reasonable. There's still enough time."

A New Role for Shinki

At the ANBU base, Tsunade reached out to Shinki, explaining the situation.

"So, I'm the Hokage's escort candidate now?" Shinki asked, raising an eyebrow.

"That's the current plan," Tsunade replied with a wry smile. "The Hokage's current options are limited. It seems even the old factions within the village are coming to terms with the situation."

Shinki chuckled. "Ah, nothing like external pressure to unite internal conflicts. Funny how things work."

Tsunade nodded knowingly. Even Mitokado Homura had privately approached her to broker peace—a stark contrast to his usual stance. After Konoha's recent struggles, even the most stubborn factions recognized the need for unity.

"The Hokage's Guard might be dispatched, but I don't trust their ability to handle this kind of situation," Tsunade admitted. "Honestly, ANBU might be the better option."

Shinki agreed. "I don't want to be officially called a Hokage bodyguard, but I'll accept the mission on behalf of ANBU. That should suffice."

"Great. Transfer your responsibilities in the medical department and return to the village immediately," Tsunade said, clearly relieved.

The Five Shadows Disco

Later, Shinki informed his team. "Pack your things. We're heading back to the village. We have an important mission."

"Teacher, what mission is it?" Minato asked, his curiosity evident.

"I'm taking you to see the Five Shadows Disco. Want to come?" Shinki replied with a mischievous grin.

Minato tilted his head, confused. "Five Shadows Disco? What's that?"

Even as he pondered, Pakura sighed and rolled her eyes, muttering, "He's messing with you, kid."

Pakura, however, felt her nerves building. If they were attending the Five Kage Summit, there was a good chance she would run into either the Third Kazekage or Chiyo—or worse, both. The thought of facing her former leaders filled her with dread.

Still, Pakura resigned herself to reality. She had made her choices and knew she would have to confront the past eventually.

Final Preparations

Before leaving, Shinki approached Orochimaru.

"So the old man is attending the Five Kage Summit, and ANBU will take over his protection?" Orochimaru asked, intrigued.

"Yes," Shinki confirmed.

Orochimaru leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. "Sand Village initiating this summit is strange. They can't possibly want to end the war—it would cost them more than they could afford. But they've somehow convinced the other villages to join. It's peculiar."

"Agreed. They must have offered something substantial," Shinki replied. "But there's no use speculating now. Once we're in the Land of Iron, the truth will reveal itself. At worst, they'll apply collective pressure. Konoha can handle that."

Orochimaru chuckled. "Be careful out there. You never know what they might try."

Back to Konoha

Shinki, Minato, and Pakura set off for the village. Along the way, Shinki explained to Minato about the significance of the Five Kage Summit, emphasizing how rare and influential such gatherings were.

"These meetings don't happen often," Shinki said. "It's a chance for you to see how the ninja world operates on a broader scale."

"What about the snakes?" Minato asked.

"We'll leave them in Konoha," Shinki replied. "Once we pick a spot, we can summon them as needed. Bringing them now would only slow us down."

Later that night, while they rested by the roadside, Shinki turned to Pakura. "Have you ever been to Konoha?"

Pakura shook her head. "No. Missions or commissions rarely involved Konoha, and even when they did, my team leaders avoided those tasks."

"Probably to protect you," Shinki remarked. "Foreign ninjas need explicit approval to enter other villages. Otherwise, they're treated as enemies."

Facing the Summit

As they neared Konoha, Pakura's nerves grew. She would soon face not only the Five Kage Summit but also her new role in Konoha. Her thoughts swirled with doubt and anxiety.

For Shinki, however, the journey was an opportunity—a chance to guide his students, protect the Hokage, and show the world that Konoha wasn't a village to be trifled with.

As they prepared to enter the Land of Iron, Shinki couldn't help but smile at the irony of it all. "Well, this 'disco' is shaping up to be quite the event. Let's see how it plays out."
