Chapter 217: Chapter 217: Four Villages Meet and Talks Begin

Tsunade punched Nawaki lightly again. "That's because we hope you can master condensed Water Release first. Physical skills can improve gradually, but Water Release is what you need to focus on."

Mastering the compressed Water Release techniques could make Nawaki one of the strongest in the ninja world. Similarly, Namikaze Minato could reach the same level by mastering the Flying Thunder God Technique of Tobirama Senju.

This was a testament to how powerful Tobirama's techniques were. If not for the two "monsters" at the top—Hashirama and Madara—Tobirama's reputation would have been even greater.

Two days later, Namikaze Minato arrived at the frontline camp and met with Shinki.

When Minato entered the room and saw two massive snakes coiled on the floor, his face froze in shock. "Teacher, didn't you say they were very small?"

Shinki rubbed his temples, frustrated. "They were small. Just a few days ago, they were only as thick as a finger..."

No one would believe the transformation unless they had seen it with their own eyes. The two snakes had grown to nearly three meters long and as thick as calves in just a few days.

Shinki muttered to himself, "What on earth did Orochimaru do to them?"

Brushing the thought aside, he focused on Minato. "Enough about that. Let's sign the contract first. You'll take the black one. Afterward, you'll go hunting with the puppets daily, and then train when you return."

It was unrealistic to expect Minato to singlehandedly support such a resource-intensive psychic beast, but Shinki wanted him to experience the effort and pressure involved in raising one.

"Yes, teacher," Minato replied obediently, as always. Unlike Nawaki, who often whined, Minato followed Shinki's instructions without complaint.

"By the way, this is Pakura. She transferred from Sand Village. She possesses the Burning Release bloodline limit. Her strength is... well, barely average. She'll be your sparring partner in the future."

Pakura's eye twitched. "Barely average? Seriously? Do you have to insult me while introducing me?"

Minato blinked in confusion. He had never seen Pakura before, and her sudden appearance beside his teacher made him curious. "Transferred from Sand Village? Is it the kind of transfer I'm thinking of?"

Shinki ruffled Minato's hair. "Don't overthink it. Pakura was captured during a battle and decided to join us."

After Minato left to hunt with the puppets, Pakura finally spoke up. "Is that your student? He seems... ordinary. Honestly, he's not even on Rasa's level."

Hearing the name "Rasa," Shinki's expression darkened. "Rasa? Are you serious?"

Pakura looked puzzled. "Did I say something wrong?"

Shinki sighed. "Let me put it this way: the Rasa you're talking about isn't even in the same league as Minato. Comparing them is like comparing a spark to the sun."

Pakura frowned, unconvinced. "You mean to tell me Rasa isn't as good as your student? That's hard to believe."

"Maybe it's hard to see now," Shinki admitted. "But once Minato masters Flying Thunder God and sealing techniques, Rasa won't even come close. Just wait and see."

Pakura scoffed, shaking her head. "We'll see."

Minato successfully signed a contract with the black snake, and it didn't take long for him to understand the challenge of raising it. The snake's appetite was insatiable, devouring enough meat to feed several families in a single day.

Every day, Minato accompanied puppets into the forest, tirelessly hunting to feed the psychic beast. The effort was grueling, but Minato didn't complain.

As the snakes continued to grow, Shinki had to move them to a forest near the camp. He stationed puppets around the area to keep people and the snakes from wandering too close to each other.

"If they keep growing at this rate," Shinki mused, "they might rival Manda in size within three years."

Three years... the perfect timeline to match Minato's rapid growth. Shinki couldn't help but imagine a future where Minato and his psychic beast became legends in the ninja world.

Meanwhile, near the border of the Land of Earth, in a valley within the Land of Grass, representatives from four villages gathered.

Chiyo arrived with her delegation from Sand Village and walked into an atmosphere thick with tension.

The Third Mizukage stood at a distance, watching the chaos unfold with quiet amusement. Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage, and the Third Raikage were glaring daggers at each other, their mutual dislike evident.

In recent years, Iwa and Kumo had clashed frequently, while Kumo and Kiri had engaged in disputes over maritime boundaries.

To Onoki, the Raikage represented the Kingdom of Thunder's brutish, troublemaking ways. The Raikage, for his part, dismissed Onoki as an insufferable old man.

As Chiyo entered the valley, she forced a smile and greeted them. "It seems everyone has arrived on time."

Onoki, still fuming, shot back sarcastically. "Chiyo, you invited us here, but you're the last to arrive. Sand Village really knows how to show sincerity."

The Third Raikage chuckled and added, "Maybe they were so thoroughly beaten by Konoha that they couldn't hold their heads high."

Chiyo clenched her fists. Two shameless old men!

Weren't these two supposed to hate each other? Why were they suddenly teaming up to target her?
