Shishou's Mangekyō Sharingan ability is called "Takamimusubi," named after one of the five great gods in the legends of the Shinobi world, Takamimusubi no Kami.

In mythology, Takamimusubi no Kami is a powerful deity second only to the supreme deity, Ame-no-Minakanushi, with the authority to preside over the growth of all things.

Shishou's right eye ability is to enlarge or shrink the size of target creatures, an ability associated with the growth of all things.

After Shishou's right eye evolved from the Mangekyō Sharingan to the Rinnegan, this ability underwent a qualitative change.
