__________

Ten seconds later, a fist-sized hole was made into the tree.

"Take it back."

Shiki had an idea in mind.

"Brother, you…"

Shino was about to ask why Shiki did that when his eyes suddenly widened.

He saw Shiki's parasite.

How is it different from his own? It even seems cooler.

It felt like his parents bought him a regular toy robot, but got Shiki a high-end model.

'Am I really not their biological child?'

Shino subconsciously thought his father was treating them differently.

But that couldn't be right.

He remembered their father was still using the same kind of parasite as him.

"Go ahead."

Shiki looked at his parasite with great anticipation.

They hit the bark, causing it to cave in, and then they began to gnaw at it.

But the speed was obviously faster, and ten seconds later, the tree broke in half.

Shino was stunned.

'Maybe I'm not his biological child after all.'

The power difference is just too much.

Three parasites already show this much power.

He couldn't imagine how terrifying it would be when the number increased.

"Shino, do you want one?"

The three parasitic bugs returned to Shiki's hands.

"Yes."

Shino admitted without hesitation.

As an insect user from the clan, powerful insects had a strong appeal to him.

This attraction was like seeing something as irresistible as a mature woman in black stockings and high heels for other men.

"Take it and raise it."

Shiki handed one small parasite to Shino.

He wanted to see if chakra feeding would be effective and whether mating with ordinary parasites would succeed.

"Thank you, brother!"

Shino felt like he had found a treasure.

Even though there was only one, insects were known for their ability to reproduce and multiply.

"Okay, it's none of your business now, go on."

Shiki waved dismissively.

"…"

Shino's mouth twitched slightly.

'Fine, you're the big brother. I'll listen to you.'

After leaving the courtyard, he glanced over at Sasuke and Naruto.

He was suddenly startled.

Sasuke was drenched in sweat, jumping high into the air.

Below him was a makeshift high jump bar.

"As expected of an Uchiha."

Shino had no intention of joining in.

The members of his clan focused on controlling insects, not on personal physical training.

"Hinata."

After Shino left, only Shiki and Hinata were left.

"I'm here."

Hinata responded quickly.

"Don't be so nervous."

Shiki smiled.

Hinata lowered her head in embarrassment.

She wasn't normally this shy around others, but in front of Shiki, she couldn't help herself.

"You want to challenge Neji. That's not an easy task."

Shiki's expression became more serious.

Even with the added strength Hinata had gained from training, it still wasn't enough.

"Um."

Hinata nodded obediently.

"I can't promise anything."

Shiki paused, "But with more training, you'll definitely improve."

"Thank you, Shiki."

Hinata felt warmth spread in her heart.

'No, I have to find a way to repay him.'

She felt that simply giving him pocket money wasn't enough to show her sincerity.

"Attack me."

Shiki waved at her.

Hinata hesitated for a few seconds before activating her Byakugan.

She quickly closed the distance, and the two began to spar.

After a few exchanges, Shiki thought to himself, 'Just as expected.'

In theory, without using any special abilities, he should be at a disadvantage.

He had never learned any advanced taijutsu, only basic Konoha techniques.

Hinata, on the other hand, was using the Hyuga clan's Gentle Fist.

But right now, Shiki was overwhelming her.

Even so, he could still feel the pressure from her.

After all, Gentle Fist had its reputation as one of the strongest forms of hand-to-hand combat for a reason.

It seemed he was benefiting from the exchange.

---

"Hinata."

Shiki stepped back and said, "That's enough for today."

Hinata's body relaxed immediately.

She gasped for air, her breath forming white mist in the cool air.

Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, across her face, and down to her collarbone and neck.

Her black bangs stuck to her fair, slightly flushed skin.

Shiki watched her, his gaze thoughtful.

He was assessing her progress.

Hinata's main problem was her personality—or rather, the immense pressure from those around her.

Since childhood, she had only faced two rivals: her father, Hiashi, and her cousin, Neji.

The former was the head of the Hyuga clan and a top-tier jonin.

The latter was a rare genius, excelling in both talent and strength.

Hinata had been overshadowed by both of them for so long that she had never won even once. How could she have any confidence left?

It was no surprise that her current personality had developed this way, after enduring so much defeat.

As for the solution, Shiki had been considering it.

The key would be helping her break through her own limitations.

"Ah... Shiki…"

Hinata suddenly realized he was staring at her.

Did something happen?

Noticing her reflection in his eyes, she panicked and quickly adjusted her hair that had gotten stuck.

'Oh no, it must look terrible!'

Hinata screamed internally.

"Go back to the cabin and rest."

Shiki smiled.

Her frantic movements had made her bangs look even messier, which only made her look cuter.

"Okay… okay."

Hinata followed him into the cabin.

"Have some water."

Shiki placed a glass on the table.

"Thanks."

Hinata held the cup with both hands, sipping slowly like a little kitten.

If she stuck out her tongue to lick it, it would be even more like one.

"How are you feeling today?"

Shiki asked.

"Very… very good."

Hinata nodded quickly.

"Is everything I say good?"
