"Do you have a recipe at home?"
Shiki remembered that he had promised Naruto to teach him how to cook.
But he didn't have enough time, so he decided to leave him a cookbook instead.
"You want to learn how to cook? I can teach you," Shizune said eagerly, rubbing her hands in anticipation.
'Your reaction doesn't seem like you're teaching someone to cook, but more like preparing to teach them how to fight wolves or something.' Shiki thought.
"No, Sister Shizune."
Shiki shook his head and said, "It's for Naruto."
"Naruto?"
Tsunade, who was drinking, suddenly stopped and said, "I have a recipe book for you."
Shiki and Shizune both looked suspicious.
"You can actually cook?" X2
"Hey, what do you two mean?" Tsunade immediately became furious and glared at Shizune, then reached out and rubbed Shiki's head hard.
'No, why treat us differently?'
Shizune felt as aggrieved as a cat.
Shiki tried to respond, but never got the chance.
Tsunade put down her drink and went upstairs. After a while, she returned with a cookbook.
The cover read: "Super perfect, absolutely amazing, and extremely delicious recipe."
Shiki twitched the corner of his mouth.
What a ridiculous name, 'Is this even reliable?'
When Shiki opened the cover, he was startled.
The signature read: Namikaze Minato.
Suddenly, the title of the book made sense.
'That's normal, I suppose.'
Minato Namikaze was portrayed as a perfect ninja in the original story.
The only thing worth criticizing was his naming skills, which were... unique.
For example, Rasengan. Its original name was the Nimbus Popsicle Launched by Jiraiya Shuangshiki-no-Maru.
Shiki kept flipping through the pages.
The first dish was called Fire Style: Flashing Vortex Solar Roulette.
Beneath it, a small text read: "It's an omelet full of love and warmth."
At the end, two hearts were drawn side by side.
The handwriting was entirely different from Minato's and appeared much more elegant.
It must have been written by Kushina Uzumaki.
Shiki couldn't help but feel like they were showing off their affection.
Am I part of your little display here?
"Give it to Naruto," Tsunade said, thinking of Kushina and her beautiful red hair.
Shiki nodded.
Since it was a relic from Minato and Kushina, it was indeed fitting for Naruto. He would be thrilled.
Even though he didn't know yet that the legendary Fourth Hokage was his father.
He wasn't actually a demon fox, but the son of a hero.
If Kushina were alive, she would have definitely questioned Sarutobi Hiruzen.
Third Hokage, look at the consequences of what you protected.
After dinner, Shiki resumed practicing medical ninjutsu.
He continued his back-and-forth struggle with the carp.
The next day arrived.
Shiki packed the lunchbox Shizune had prepared for him in his bag and left the house.
As he walked down the street, he spotted two cheerful boys.
Naruto and Guy.
'So... curly?'
Shiki couldn't help but silently pray for Sasuke.
If he betrays the village again, Naruto might just break his legs.
"Shiki!"
Naruto noticed him and waved excitedly.
"Good morning."
Shiki responded with a nod.
"Chouji asked me to tell you he wants to go fishing again. When are we doing it?"
Naruto suddenly remembered.
"Today," Shiki answered after a moment of thought.
He could take the opportunity to complete Aunt Mikoto's task and spend time with Sasuke.
Maybe he could gain a few achievements too.
"I got it!"
Naruto quickly disappeared from sight.
Shiki continued walking forward.
A few minutes later, he ran into two familiar faces.
Mikoto and Sasuke.
Shiki paused.
"Shiki," Mikoto greeted, stepping in front of him and bending down slightly, "Weren't you looking for Sasuke yesterday?"
Her tied-up black hair fell gently, giving off a faint fragrance.
'Madam, your hairstyle is... dangerous.'
"I was busy yesterday," Shiki explained. "I'm taking him out to play today."
"That's wonderful, Shiki." A smile spread across Mikoto's face.
She turned back to Sasuke, winked at him playfully, and left without saying anything more.
"Sasuke," Shiki glanced at him and asked, "Want to go fishing after school?"
"I don't want to fish," Sasuke declined.
"Oh?" Shiki smiled. "If you can beat Naruto at fishing, I'll agree to a sparring match next time."
Sasuke hesitated.
He wanted to agree immediately, but he had once vowed that if he ever went fishing again, he'd be a dog.
"What's the matter?" Shiki teased. "Afraid you'll lose to Naruto?"
"Afraid of him? What a joke!" Sasuke scoffed, "I'll win!", 'Forget it, I'll just be a dog for today.' He thought.
'Besides, no one will know.'
[Achievement unlocked: 'I am a dog' for Sasuke. Reward: White Pig Gu.]
[White Pig Gu: A first-level Gu worm that transforms the Gu Master's body and increases their strength.]
Shiki took a step back, startled.
'What's going on?'
'Since when did Sasuke develop this hobby?'
'Alright, alright, I'll go along with it.'
"What's wrong?" Sasuke asked, confused.
"Nothing." Shiki smiled and quickly fled the scene.
"???"
Sasuke was left standing there, baffled.
Arriving at school, Shiki let out a sigh of relief.
The achievement was strange, but the reward was exactly what he needed.
The second White Pig Gu would allow him to practice the White Jade Gu with more confidence.
By then, his defense could be enhanced even further.
Given that most ninjas are generally fragile, his White Jade Gu would definitely be a game-changer.
"Shiki-kun!"
A voice called from above.
Shiki looked up and saw Ino sitting in a tree.
Her small feet dangled, swinging back and forth.
'What a... cute scene. No, focus. I'm serious.'
A gust of wind blew.
Ino jumped down and landed gracefully in front of him.
"What were you doing up there?" Shiki asked.
"Nothing." Ino replied awkwardly, tucking a strand of golden hair behind her ear.
She had actually been waiting for Shiki.
"Um... are you free after school? I'd like to treat you to dinner," Ino asked, gathering her courage after a brief hesitation.
