Chapter 274: Chapter 273 : The Biggest Trouble is Chu Zihang!!

"Everyone, attention! There is an unknown disturbance in the hospital!"

Raymond saw through the monitors that the entire crowd in the hospital seemed to be in a frenzy. He quickly tried to warn the team using the radio.

However, all he heard through his earpiece was a loud static noise. The communication system was being interfered with for some unknown reason.

On the monitor, the hospital had descended into chaos. Patients, doctors, and nurses alike were acting like wild animals, shouting incoherent cries.

They seemed possessed and were charging toward the third floor—the very floor where the four undercover agents were located.

"Undercover team, respond!"

Raymond's forehead was covered in sweat, his veins bulging as a sense of dread washed over him. He continued calling through the radio: "Chu Zihang! Susie! Freya! Adam! Damn it! Surveillance team, move in!"

Upon receiving the order from the temporary command center, the surveillance team members, who had been hiding and waiting for a long time, sprang into action like arrows shot from a bow, rushing from different directions into the hospital.

"All combat personnel, stay together! Don't split up!" Raymond, with his experience, knew this was part of an enemy scheme. He warned everyone, "The target is the undercover team on the third floor. Ensure your own safety and try not to harm the civilians if possible. Understood?"

"Command, we can't get in!"

"These civilians have gone mad. If we try to push forward, we'll be attacked. Damn it, we can't retaliate!"

"Report, Team B failed to breach. We were stopped."

In the radio communication channel, the reports of successive failures from the team members reached Raymond's ears.

Bang!

Raymond angrily slammed his fist on the table. His eyes seemed to burn with a golden light as he gritted his teeth, staring at the surveillance screen.

"It's a Word Soul. This guy's Word Soul seems to have a mass hypnosis effect, turning these ordinary people into shields. If we force our way in, it will cause damage."

"No, what's even more dangerous is this,"

The executive officer, Baron, frowned and spoke in a low voice. "What we should really be worried about is that the guy is hiding among the ordinary people, waiting for the right moment to strike."

Just as he finished speaking, a loud scream suddenly echoed through the radio channel.

"B Team, what happened?!" Raymond noticed that the scream came from B Team and his expression immediately became tense.

"Command room, we suspect we're under 'target' ambush!" A male voice from B Team came through, panting heavily as if he had used up a lot of energy. "The target disguised as a patient, blending in with the ordinary people, and launched a surprise attack. Misha is seriously injured. Requesting temporary retreat!"

As expected, the situation developed in the direction Baron had anticipated—the killer was hiding in the controlled, panicked crowd, waiting to ambush any executive officers attempting to break in.

Raymond immediately realized how cunning the enemy was. During previous crimes, the person had purposely hidden a "hypnosis" Word Soul, which led to a huge flaw in their plan, ultimately turning the tables in the enemy's favor. Grinding his teeth, he ordered, "All units, temporarily retreat and seal off the hospital exits!"

"Don't you want to send help to the undercover team?"

Baron looked at him, surprised.

"We have no choice but to leave it to Chu Zihang and the others," Raymond looked at the surveillance screen and spoke in a deep voice. "Besides, even if they're surrounded, the hybrid will survive the fall from the third floor. If worst comes to worst, they can jump out the window, and we'll assist from outside. Then, we'll slowly track down that guy."

Since the killer planned to use the crowd as cover, they would seal off the hospital and search for him one by one.

"I don't believe we won't find someone!"

At this moment, on the third floor of the hospital's inpatient department.

The ordinary people who had barged in earlier were all swiftly knocked unconscious.

Then, Chu Zihang used the bed frame to block the hospital room door, preventing the crazed people from rushing in.

It wasn't because he was afraid of ordinary people—it was simply that he didn't want to accidentally hurt anyone. After all, among the many hybrid World Soul users, the World Soul that Chu Zihang controlled was considered to be highly dangerous.

"What should we do now?" Susie asked, looking troubled as she turned to the calm and composed boy next to her. "These are all ordinary people. That guy's Word Soul (Yanling) must have a large-scale hypnosis effect. Now everyone in the hospital is his hostage."

Chu Zihang furrowed his brows, his gaze drifting toward the window. "Let's go meet up with Adam and the others first."

Fortunately, when the hospital rooms had been arranged earlier, the two undercover teams were placed very close to each other.

At that moment, the door to the room, which had been blocked by the bed, was suddenly hit with a loud bang, as though struck by a rocket launcher.

The crazed crowd outside immediately swarmed into the room, each of them clawing and roaring like zombies from a movie, charging toward the two of them.

"Found him!"

In the chaos, Chu Zihang's sharp eyes immediately spotted a sneaky figure trying to hide.

"The culprit is him!" As he spoke, Chu Zihang's foot slammed into the floor, and he shot forward like a bullet: "Susie, go join Adam and the others!"

The crowd was forcefully pushed aside as he charged through them.

The frenzied ordinary people were knocked down, like grass being flattened under a heavy weight.

Then, with a look of surprise on Susie's face, Chu Zihang leaped high into the air. Using the walls of the hospital corridor on either side, he bounced back and forth, swiftly moving through the air.

This scene, something straight out of a movie, was now perfectly recreated by him.

Susie didn't hesitate anymore. She quickly darted out, jumping through the window to the neighboring room.

As soon as she entered, she saw Freya and Adam desperately holding the door of the room, trying to keep the people outside from breaking in.

"Where is Chu Zihang?" Freya asked as Susie climbed through the window.

"He found someone who might be the killer and chased after them," Susie replied, her gaze shifting to Adam. "Is this your plan?"

Adam adjusted his glasses, maintaining an air of elegance even amidst the chaos, and gently said, "It seems the situation went a bit beyond expectations. That guy's Word Soul can hypnotize ordinary people on a large scale."

"So what should we do now?" Freya bit her lip, saying, "This isn't going to work. People from outside will keep coming in."

"Wait."

Susie stepped forward to help block the door, saying, "Chu Zihang went after the killer. He should solve it quickly."

She had full confidence in Chu Zihang.

"I hate this kind of sneaky person!" Freya pouted, muttering, "Controlling ordinary people like that... Ugh, it's so troublesome. If only we could knock them all out!"

"Good idea, but..." Adam said, "Can you control your strength to make sure you don't accidentally hurt their brains? If you mess up, the Execution Bureau won't let you off easily."

"I know, I'm just complaining," Freya grumbled.

"Just hold on a bit longer, Freya," Susie comforted her. "Chu Zihang should be handling it soon."

The three of them took turns blocking the door. About four or five minutes passed, and the crowd outside seemed to stop banging on the door.

Freya immediately sighed in relief. "Looks like Chu Zihang has solved it."

At that moment, Adam, who was blocking the door, suddenly furrowed his brows, his expression strange. He hesitated before looking at the two women and asking, "Chu Zihang's Word Soul, if I remember correctly, it should be the high-risk Word Soul 'King's Blaze' with serial number 89, right?"

"That's right."

Susie, who knew Chu Zihang well, nodded with a graceful movement, her white neck like a swan. She blinked her big eyes. "Why are you asking about that?"

Adam's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked through the glass of the hospital room door, gazing down the corridor with a mysterious expression. "King's Blaze's destructive power should be quite large, right? So why haven't we heard anything up until now?"

"Well..." Susie hesitated, her face showing uncertainty. "Maybe, Chu Zihang used his body techniques and handled it quietly?"

Just then, the crowd that had been gathered outside the room suddenly began to disperse, slowly pulling back like a receding tide, revealing a small gap large enough for one person to pass through.

"It doesn't seem like it," Adam sighed lightly. He turned to face the two women and asked seriously, "Can I ask, do you two have confidence in holding off Chu Zihang?"
