Amidst the chaos, Mirai moved through the ranks of Kirigakure shinobi like a harvester in a field, reaping lives as the system's notifications echoed in his mind. Watching his stats steadily increase, Mirai couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction—like a farmer basking in the bounty of an autumn harvest.

As for the Kirigakure shinobi's attacks? Most were easily evaded. The occasional strike that he couldn't avoid, he simply tanked with indifference. With his Sand Armor, Shikotsumyaku, and an already formidable physique, Mirai had little to fear. If not for his concern about his clothes being destroyed, revealing something that would terrify his enemies even more, he wouldn't have bothered dodging at all.

Just as he was relishing the carnage, the sound of war cries rang out behind him.

"Mirai-sama! We're here to help!"

Mirai frowned as he looked up. A group of Konoha shinobi had charged into the fray, engaging the Kirigakure forces in a chaotic melee.

"Who told you to come here?" Mirai barked, his voice sharp.

Hearing his reprimand, the Konoha shinobi looked moved, mistaking his words for concern.

"Mirai-sama, there's no need to worry about us. From the moment we became shinobi, we were prepared to sacrifice ourselves!"

"That's right! At least let us fight alongside you this once!"

"We understand your intentions, but that's exactly why we can't stand idly by! This is the Will of Fire!"

Mirai watched as the Konoha shinobi's morale surged, their faces flushed with determination as though fueled by some grand purpose. He sighed inwardly.

All I wanted was to maximize the system rewards, but these guys have clearly been overthinking things.

Now that they had joined the battle, it was too late to send them back. Mirai turned his focus back to collecting as many rewards as possible.

Suddenly, the Kirigakure shinobi retreated, creating a gap in the battlefield. A dense mist enveloped Mirai in an instant.

"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!"

The acrid stench of acid filled the air, and a second voice followed.

"Lava Release: Dissolving Exploding Acid!"

A torrent of sticky, corrosive acid spread through the mist, accompanied by the sound of sizzling and melting as it devoured everything in its path.

"It's over," Mei Terumī murmured as she watched her attacks engulf the target.

Her Kekkei Genkai could corrode anything it touched. Once caught by her Boil Release and Lava Release techniques, nothing could survive. Yet, as she recalled Mirai's rampage through her forces, she felt a pang of regret. Such power, such skill—and he was devastatingly handsome. If only someone like him belonged to my village.

Just as Mei was about to turn her attention to other foes, a massive, blood-red fist burst from the acid.

"Look out!"

"Water Release: Water Mirror Technique!"

A smooth water mirror appeared before Mei, intercepting the attack. The mirror shattered with a loud crack, and Mei was pulled to safety just in time.

"Mizukage!"

Mei turned to see Yagura Karatachi, the Fourth Mizukage, his expression grave. Relief flickered across his face. The attack had shattered the water mirror in one blow. If it had landed on her, she wouldn't have survived.

"This one is mine," Yagura said firmly. "Go handle the other Konoha shinobi."

"Yes!" Mei nodded and left without hesitation.

Yagura's gaze settled on Mirai, who emerged unscathed from the corrosive acid. His expression turned grim. The battle had only just begun, but it was clear he had underestimated his opponent.

Ding!

[Congratulations to the host for successfully plundering the reward: Boil Release Kekkei Genkai!]

Hearing the system's notification, Mirai glanced around but saw no sign of Mei Terumī.

"Ran away after a sneak attack, huh? No matter—we'll meet again."

Turning his attention to Yagura, Mirai smirked. The diminutive Fourth Mizukage stood before him, his youthful face marred by a vicious scar over one eye.

"Yagura Karatachi, is it?" Mirai asked. Yagura's appearance was unmistakable.

"You're strong, Uchiha Mirai," Yagura said evenly, his tone tinged with respect. "Even I can't say for sure that I'd win against you. Facing someone like you… it's exhilarating!"

Mirai chuckled. "Is that so? Too bad I don't consider trash like you worthy of being my opponent."

Yagura's expression darkened. As the Mizukage, he wielded immense power and stood at the pinnacle of the shinobi world. To be dismissed as "trash" was an insult he could not tolerate.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu!"

"Water Release: Water Blade Jutsu!"

Yagura launched a flurry of attacks, but Mirai didn't even bother to dodge. Even the most basic form of Susanoo was more than enough to render these techniques useless.

Realizing his attacks were ineffective, Yagura quickly changed tactics.

"Water Release: Water Mirror Technique!"

A massive water mirror materialized in front of Yagura, designed to create a reflection of his enemy—a doppelgänger capable of matching their power. But as Yagura poured chakra into the jutsu, his face twisted in shock.

(T/N: doppelgänger is a person who is almost identical to another)

"Just how much chakra does this bastard have?"

Unable to fully replicate Mirai, Yagura managed to summon a half-formed reflection. Even so, the sight of Mirai's likeness emerging from the water mirror filled the surrounding Kirigakure shinobi with hope.

"The Mizukage has stepped in! That Konoha brat is finished now!"

"That's a mirror reflection—it's said to possess the same power as the original!"

"Kill him, Mizukage-sama! Avenge our fallen comrades!"

Despite the cheers of his subordinates, Yagura knew the truth. His optimism had been misplaced. This Uchiha was far beyond anything he had anticipated.

Still, as the Mizukage, Yagura carried his own pride. No matter the foe, he would face them head-on, confident in his ability to prevail.
