Naruto: Saving the Universe by Stealing Attributes

Chapter 209: Chapter 209: The Celestial Dragon of the Ninja World

Under the watchful eyes of the people of Sunagakure, Pakura, the Fifth Kazekage, publicly pledged allegiance to Uchiha Mirai.

At the same time, due to the recent assassination of the Daimyō of the Land of Wind by Sunagakure's shinobi, the village had essentially become the ruling force of the nation. This meant that the entire Land of Wind now fell under Mirai's control.

Of course, Sunagakure's loyalty was directed at Mirai himself, not the Hokage. As such, Sunagakure and Konohagakure remained on equal footing politically.

Following the announcement, the citizens of Sunagakure, having already witnessed Mirai's overwhelming power, showed little resistance to the new order and readily accepted the reality.

Almost immediately, the policies that Mirai had long prepared were implemented. When an endless stream of high-quality resources began arriving in Sunagakure, the villagers not only abandoned their initial reluctance but even started expressing gratitude.

Simultaneously, some of the desert's unique resources from Sunagakure began being supplied to Konoha. The two villages, free from past hostilities, started a mutually beneficial exchange, significantly improving the quality of life for the people of both lands.

Moreover, while the Land of Wind's resources couldn't rival those of the Land of Fire, its distinct environment became an intriguing feature. With heavy promotion from both villages, daring citizens began embarking on their first-ever "journeys abroad."

The people of the Land of Fire marveled at the endless deserts and the blazing dunes under the scorching sun. Meanwhile, the citizens of the Land of Wind were astonished by Konoha's eternal spring-like climate and lush, vibrant scenery.

Under Mirai's carrot-and-stick approach, the Lands of Wind and Fire gradually began to integrate…

...

Konohagakure—Uchiha Clan Compound

Uchiha Mirai gazed at the earnest young boy before him, his lips curling into a faint smirk.

"Hokage-sama, this is Itachi," Shisui said. "He's the most talented ninja of the Uchiha clan."

The boy beside Shisui bowed deeply. "Hokage-sama, please guide me in the future."

Mirai studied the young Itachi and nodded slightly. "So, you're Uchiha Itachi?"

Without warning, Mirai extended his foot, lightly sweeping Itachi off balance and sending him airborne. With a swift kick to the chest, Mirai sent Itachi flying, his body vanishing in a puff of white smoke.

"Hmph," Mirai snorted, disappearing in an instant. Moments later, a smaller figure was bouncing through the air like a ball, battered by Mirai's relentless kicks before crashing to the ground.

"Uh… this…" Shisui was utterly baffled, unable to comprehend why Mirai had suddenly attacked Itachi—and so mercilessly at that.

Coughing, Itachi struggled to his feet, clutching his chest. Bowing again, he said, "Hokage-sama, I'm sorry."

"Hmph!" Mirai's cold snort pierced the air. "This was just a small lesson. Remember, never be arrogant."

Dropping to his knees, Itachi replied earnestly, "I understand, Hokage-sama!"

Seeing Itachi's submissive posture, Mirai decided to let the matter rest. In his past life, Uchiha Itachi was infamous as a filial son who slaughtered his clan, including his own parents, and even implanted Kotoamatsukami into Naruto Uzumaki, intending to manipulate Sasuke Uchiha's thoughts.

From the Uchiha clan's perspective, Itachi's actions were utterly unforgivable. Beating him up now was merely a light punishment.

Itachi, however, assumed that Mirai's actions were a subtle reprimand for Fugaku's past deeds. Grateful to still be alive despite being the son of a "traitor," he harbored no resentment.

Shisui, on the other hand, remained utterly bewildered by the entire ordeal.

"Shisui, I need you to head to the Land of Wind. Lead some of our clan members to take over the Daimyō's authority. Understood?" Mirai instructed.

After the Land of Fire's Daimyō had been killed, Shisui had handled the aftermath. It was only natural for Mirai to entrust him with a similar task in the Land of Wind.

According to Mirai's plans, the Uchiha clan would eventually dominate every nation. When that day came, the Uchiha would truly become the greatest clan in the ninja world, unrivaled by any other.

This ambition stemmed from more than just loyalty to his clan. Before his reincarnation, Mirai had been deeply troubled by the tragic fate of the Uchiha. He had long dreamed of altering their destiny. Now, with the power to do so, he intended to fulfill this wish.

Understanding Mirai's intent, Shisui immediately knelt on one knee.

"Hokage-sama, may I take Itachi with me?"

"You may," Mirai agreed, his gaze shifting to Itachi. "Itachi, I have a question for you."

"Hokage-sama, please ask," Itachi replied.

"How do you perceive the relationships between the clan, the village, the nation, and the ninja world?"

Itachi fell silent, pondering the question for a long moment before answering, "Hokage-sama, I don't know. I used to think I understood, but I've realized those thoughts were all wrong."

He continued, "The experiences of the Uchiha and the village have shown me that by unconditionally following your will, everything will move in the right direction."

A satisfied smile spread across Mirai's face. "Hahaha… Itachi, it seems you've achieved the right mindset. Hold onto that belief and strive to serve me better. I acknowledge you."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama!" Itachi responded, his voice filled with determination.

After giving a few more instructions, Mirai prepared to leave. Shisui, however, grabbed Itachi and trailed behind him.

Turning back, Mirai asked, "Shisui, is there something else?"

Scratching his head sheepishly, Shisui replied, "Mirai, it's getting late. Can we come over for dinner?"

Hearing the familiar address and the audacious request, Mirai couldn't help but chuckle. He reminisced about the days when Shisui, still a boy, would carry water buckets and help clean his house. Now, Shisui had grown into a capable shinobi.

Lost in the nostalgia, Mirai nodded. "Fine. I'll cook tonight."

"Yay! That's great!" Shisui cheered, jumping in excitement.

Even Itachi, trailing behind, revealed a hint of anticipation. To dine with Hokage-sama was an honor not many could boast.

He silently vowed to grow stronger and become the sharpest blade in Mirai's arsenal, just like Shisui.
