For Sasuke, such a scene was deeply unsettling, and Itachi's sadness stirred a change in his own emotions.

Lowering his head, Sasuke no longer looked at Itachi. "If you came to me because of this matter, then you can leave, brother!"

Hearing this, Itachi froze.

Sasuke's words meant he had completely let go of the past.

But this wasn't the answer Itachi wanted. He hoped Sasuke would continue to protect the Leaf Village.

Though the Uchiha clan was gone, the Leaf still remained.

"Sasuke, you can't join the Akatsuki. You don't understand the organization at all. You can't"

"My decision is final. No one can change it!"

At Sasuke's firm declaration, Itachi stood frozen.

Resolute. Decisive. Unyielding!

Sasuke's attitude at that moment left Itachi deeply pained.

"You'll regret joining the Akatsuki!"

"Things aren't as simple as you think!"

Itachi continued to try persuading him.

But Itachi added, "I don't want to harm you. Let's settle this with our Sharingan."
