Chapter 32: Naruto VS Sasuke 2
Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan locked onto Naruto with an intensity that could cut steel. His voice, dripping with malice, broke the tension like a blade.
"Naruto! I will end you!"
The air grew heavy as Sasuke's chakra surged, his Susanoo's bow fully drawn, ready to unleash its might. With a thunderous whoosh, Kagutsuchi's Flame Shield Arrow soared toward Naruto.
Naruto's resolve didn't falter. A Rasenshuriken formed in his palm, spinning with blinding energy. Without hesitation, he hurled it forward. The two titanic forces collided midair, their clash echoing like a calamity.
BOOM!
The Sage's Rasenshuriken met Kagutsuchi's arrow head-on, resulting in a massive explosion that flattened everything within miles. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the land, kicking up clouds of dust and debris.
Jūgo, acting quickly, transformed into his sage state, shielding Karin and Suigetsu in a low-lying area as the shockwave rolled past. Despite the protection, Sasuke, even within his Susanoo, was blasted backward. The strain of his Mangekyō Sharingan left his vision blurred, and pain stabbed through his eyes like daggers. His Susanoo, forced to its limits, began to crack under the strain.
Meanwhile, Naruto deftly used the Flying Thunder God Technique, appearing unharmed atop a massive bird. As the dust settled, Sasuke knelt on the ground, his breaths ragged. His Mangekyō Sharingan flickered weakly before reverting to its three-tomoe form. Blood seeped from the corners of his eyes, and he clutched his head, the overexertion taking its toll.
Karin, coughing and fanning the dust away, staggered toward Sasuke. "Sasuke-kun!" she cried out in worry, hurrying to his side. Suigetsu, staring at the crater left behind, shook his head in disbelief.
"This is insane... Their destructive power is beyond imagination," he muttered, glancing uneasily at the battlefield.
Jūgo, ever vigilant, scanned the surroundings. "Sasuke's not in good shape. We need to regroup," he said firmly.
Just as he finished speaking, a foreboding sound filled the air.
"Banshō Ten'in!"
Before anyone could react, an invisible force dragged Jūgo into the air. Suigetsu unsheathed his beheading sword and charged, only to be intercepted by the remaining Paths of Pain. With little effort, they subdued him.
Jūgo transformed into his curse-mark state, ready to retaliate, but Naruto descended from the bird with a heavy thud. He landed like a meteor, striking Jūgo with such force that the ground beneath cracked. Jūgo coughed blood and collapsed, stunned by the overwhelming power of Naruto's Sage Mode.
Naruto smirked, the orange patterns of Sage Mode fading around his eyes. Without hesitation, he placed a hand on Jūgo's back and pulled out a sealing scroll. His hands flew through a series of hand seals.
"Sealing Technique: Absorbing Seal!"
A hum filled the air as the cursed energy from Jūgo's body began transferring into the scroll. Jūgo's body visibly shrank, his monstrous form regressing into that of a frail child.
Karin, torn between helping Sasuke and Jūgo, bit her lip. Ultimately, she stretched out her arm toward Sasuke. "Sasuke-kun, don't hold back. Take as much chakra as you need."
Sasuke hesitated but relented, biting into her arm. Karin winced, her expression a mix of pain and twisted satisfaction. "Ahhh... Sasuke-kun…" she murmured as her chakra flowed into him.
As Naruto completed his sealing, he glanced at Jūgo's now diminutive form. "Orochimaru really outdid himself with this guy," he mused, pocketing the scroll. With his task complete, Naruto turned to leave, but Suigetsu's voice rang out.
"Jūgo's barely alive! You can't just walk away!" he shouted, raising his blade.
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Calm down, Suigetsu. He's not dead; I just borrowed a little something."
Sasuke, having regained some strength, stood up and glared at Naruto. Gripping his sword tightly, he rushed forward, but Naruto gestured toward Tendo Pain.
"Shinra Tensei!"
A wave of repulsive force blasted Sasuke and Suigetsu back effortlessly. The power gap between them was undeniable. Sasuke staggered to his feet, his teeth clenched in frustration.
Naruto smirked from above, his calm demeanor adding fuel to Sasuke's rage. Despite his efforts, Sasuke realized how far behind he had fallen.
Before Sasuke could retaliate again, Naruto's expression darkened. His shadow clone from Yugakure had been destroyed, and the memories fed back to him revealed the appearance of a new threat.
Naruto turned his gaze back to Sasuke, his voice firm. "I've got something urgent to deal with. We'll continue this another time. Oh, and Sasuke…"
Naruto's smirk returned. "Danzo's still alive, but just barely. I left him in a state where you can finish him off yourself. Consider it a gift."
Without waiting for a reply, Naruto summoned the Six Paths of Pain and disappeared in a swirl of chakra. Moments later, the massive bird flew overhead, carrying Naruto away.
Sasuke glared up at the retreating figure, his fists trembling with rage.
"That bastard… He's toying with me!" he growled, hatred and frustration boiling within him.
Below, Karin sighed, adjusting her sleeve. "He just leaves without a thank you… Typical."
Suigetsu grumbled, "This isn't over, Sasuke. We'll get stronger."
But deep down, even Sasuke couldn't deny the truth. Naruto had surpassed him. The gap was undeniable—and infuriating.
