Naruto: My Progress in Konoha.

Chapter 205

Time flew by like a white horse passing through a crack.

In the blink of an eye, five days had passed.

During these five days, the Iwa-nin launched several counterattacks—just as expected. But because their side had prepared in advance, and because the Iwa-nin had suffered heavy losses five days earlier, the force of their assaults this time was relatively weak.

As a result, those attacks didn't cause much trouble.

However, Uchiha Haruki, due to stepping in and fighting several times, had fallen a bit behind in his training schedule. A skill that should have leveled up yesterday was delayed until today.

In a secret training base.

Haruki stood in the middle of the training field, forming hand seals slowly, almost like a beginner. He carefully guided his chakra and activated Genjutsu: Sharingan.

Each time he cast it, he gained a small amount of proficiency, and more importantly, a moment of insight.

He would absorb the insight fully—then cast the jutsu again.

Proficiency increased. New comprehension followed.

And so the cycle repeated, again and again.

The more he practiced, the more insight he gained. Eventually, quantity transformed into quality.

Then, finally, after casting Genjutsu: Sharingan one more time, a tidal wave of comprehension surged into Haruki's mind, completely drowning him in realization.

He stayed in that state for a long time.

When he came to again, everything felt… different.

He raised his right hand, extended a finger, and pointed forward.

Nothing visibly happened—but Haruki knew: Genjutsu: Sharingan had been successfully activated.

Before, no matter how skilled he was, he still had to form seals to use it.

But now—

Just a flick of a finger, and it activated on instinct.

He didn't need hand seals anymore.

It had become a natural extension of his will.

"Perfected, huh…"

He murmured to himself, withdrawing his finger. He paused a moment, then said quietly:

"Panel."

The familiar soft blue glow appeared in the air before him.

Haruki skipped past all the upper sections and focused directly on the Lv7 (0/0) Genjutsu: Sharingan.

Just as he had predicted, it had reached perfection.

The moment he realized he could cast it without seals, he'd already guessed this was the case. The panel now only confirmed it.

And with Genjutsu: Sharingan perfected, it meant that from this moment on, most Jonin would no longer be a threat to him.

Not that the technique alone could defeat every elite ninja—after all, unless the Sharingan evolved into Mangekyo, its illusions still weren't unbreakable. A seasoned Jonin could struggle free.

But Haruki wasn't relying on just this one skill. He had multiple abilities that synergized with it. Together, they could overwhelm many Jonin-level foes.

That said, if his Sharingan evolved into Mangekyo, then yes—this single Genjutsu might be enough to defeat most Jonin outright.

Just like Uchiha Itachi in the future, who could trap someone like Kisame in a genjutsu with a single glance.

Haruki glanced at his bloodline progress bar, now at 9999/10000 for Three Tomoe Sharingan, and shook his head.

As much as he wanted to level it up right now, reason told him—not yet.

There was no pressure on him at the moment, so there was no need to take any risks.

"Better to wait until my Physique stat catches up first."

With that in mind, Haruki turned his focus to his other perfected skills.

He didn't even bother looking at the perfected Great Fireball or Dragon Fire techniques—they had both hit max level five days ago.

But his attention landed on Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.

Thanks to diverting the 5,000 chakra points originally allocated to Fireball into this technique, the chakra flow had doubled its training speed.

It was supposed to take ten more days to reach perfection—but instead, it hit max level earlier today, even before his Sharingan Genjutsu did.

With this, Haruki had also fully mastered wind chakra's shape and nature transformations.

Now, when he cast Great Breakthrough, the windstorm he created was twice as powerful as before.

This also meant his training for Wind Blade would now accelerate dramatically.

If he redirected the 10,000 chakra points from Great Breakthrough into Wind Blade, it would only take about two weeks to reach Lv5.

And at that point, he'd gain another hidden trump card.

But that could wait.

Now that his Genjutsu: Sharingan had reached perfection and Kenjutsu had leveled up, he finally met the conditions to start developing Genjutsu Sword Style.

And as for Flash Sword Style…

Well, he'd already mastered wind chakra's properties. While he lacked a truly top-tier blade, the short sword he had now would do just fine for preliminary research.

In other words, starting now, he'd begin development of two original sword styles at once: Genjutsu Sword and Flash Sword.

Just thinking about it made Haruki feel excited.

What he wanted to know most was:

Would the proficiency panel help with inventing new techniques?

If it did, then he might be able to walk a completely original path of his own.

If it didn't, then he'd have no choice but to follow the footsteps of those before him.

Still, Haruki was fairly optimistic.

After all, all the techniques he'd learned so far were developed by others, and the panel still helped him with them.

There was no reason to believe his own inventions wouldn't be supported too.

So in his heart, hope burned bright.

Haruki took a deep breath and calmed himself.

Then, following the concepts he had envisioned and the knowledge he had accumulated, he began his first attempt at creating—

Genjutsu Sword Style.
