"He... who is he...?" Mitarashi Anko gritted her teeth. She knew this was Danzō's attempt to preemptively accuse.

While she'd considered revealing the truth, her words held little weight against a powerful figure like Danzō. It might even cause trouble for Kai.

Thinking of this, Mitarashi Anko recalled Kai's image. In her eyes, Danzō and Yamanaka Fū were more villainous than Kai.

"Damn brat, so young and already a liar! Yamanaka Fū, seize her and take her to the interrogation department!" Danzō's face darkened, his voice booming with fury.

Mitarashi Anko was a crucial witness to his collusion with Orochimaru. Regardless of Kai's location, eliminating her was priority one.

"Yes, Danzō-sama!" Yamanaka Fū moved to attack. The events that had just transpired were a humiliation for him.

"Stop!" Sarutobi Hiruzen shouted.

Jiraiya, standing beside him, intercepted Yamanaka Fū.

"Danzō, since Kai is still at the Police Headquarters, your rash actions could be seen as unjust!" Sarutobi Hiruzen warned.

Danzō's face darkened. Looking at Mitarashi Anko, he said coldly, "Sarutobi, this concerns Konoha's safety. With his abilities, he could have easily slipped back before Mitarashi Anko."

"To clarify this, we just need to capture him and interrogate him!"

"Danzō, are you mad?!" Sarutobi Hiruzen's face turned grim, his voice roaring.

"Hmph, consider me mad. Everything I do is for Konoha's safety. I've already sent Root members to attack."

With that, Danzō vanished, taking Yamanaka Fū with him.

Mad!

Recalling the events at the Hokage Building, everyone's faces changed. Against that powerful Susanoo, what could Danzō possibly do?

"Chase them. Don't let things escalate further," the Third Hokage said grimly, pursuing them.

The threat from the four Great Nations had already overwhelmed Sarutobi Hiruzen. Danzō's actions were infuriating.

The Police Headquarters, where the Uchiha clan was stationed, was on the outskirts of Konoha.

The path leading to the headquarters was rarely used by Konoha ninjas, except for the Uchiha.

Uchiha Fugaku's courtyard guarded the entrance.

"Kai, they're coming," Uchiha Fugaku said, standing outside the courtyard.

Sensing the killing intent, he was anxious.

"Hmm, go back. Don't come out," Kai looked around.

Kai had left two shadow clones here to collect senjutsu chakra; one had already been dispelled. Only one remained.

"Can you handle this with just one shadow clone?" Uchiha Fugaku was anxious.

But he knew this wasn't just a personal feud. His intervention would give Danzō and Konoha an excuse to target the Uchiha.

"Don't worry, I can handle it alone," Kai said calmly.

Uchiha Fugaku was startled as dozens of dark figures appeared from all directions.

"Is that all? This lineup is underwhelming," Kai smiled warmly.

The surrounding Root ninjas, their expressions shifting, surrounded Kai.

They were nervous! But Danzō had a plan.

"Attack!"

The lead Root ninja's feet landed, his hands moving rapidly. The dozen ninjas behind him attacked simultaneously.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique..."

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough..."

...

A dozen ninjas attacked simultaneously. Their attacks were like a raging tide.

The commotion alerted Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui inside. The compound was sealed, blocking the sounds of battle.

"Susanoo!"

Kai's nine-tomoe Sharingan spun, crimson eyes radiating an ominous aura. A ten-meter-tall Susanoo materialized.

Shadow clones retained some of the original's strength, but their dojutsu power was less than a tenth.

Boom!

A violent shockwave, fire, and lightning ravaged the area. If Kai hadn't been prepared and distanced himself from Uchiha Fugaku's courtyard, the impact would have destroyed the outer walls. The compound also had sealing barriers.

"Father, what's going on?" Uchiha Itachi's expression changed. He'd never seen such a scene, especially within Konoha.

"Danzō has finally attacked. I wonder how Kai will respond," Uchiha Shisui's expression also changed.

The remaining Root ninjas moved, their hands clasped together, chakra draining away.

"Barrier: Diamond Seal!"

Chakra chains, like ribbons, wrapped around the Susanoo, binding it tightly.

"Kai, this seal can bind even the Nine-Tails. For Konoha's safety, surrender!" Danzō's roar echoed.

A figure emerged from the shadows, his hands moving rapidly, pressing against the void.

Summoning Jutsu!

Bang!

A large plume of white mist surged, swirling winds scattering outwards.

Woo!

A deafening roar echoed. A massive creature with a long nose appeared before them.

"Father, is that an elephant?" Uchiha Itachi's face changed in surprise.

"No!" Uchiha Fugaku's expression changed. "That's Danzō's summoning beast, the Nightmare- Eater!"

"A rare Wind Release summoning beast. Danzō's serious. I wonder if Kai can handle it."
