The matter concerning Akatsuki has reached a temporary conclusion. This was the first time this mysterious organization entered the public eye, drawing the attention and vigilance of all ninjas in Konoha. 

The number of members, their objectives, and the leaders behind them are all unknown. The only information Jiraiya was able to provide was that the organization is composed entirely of S-rank rogue ninjas from various major ninja villages, possessing the capability to threaten any ninja village in the current world.

In the days following, Konoha was immersed in an atmosphere of heightened alert. Only Yu, having completely eradicated the malignant Shimura Danzo and restructured the lives of Urushi and others at the Konoha Orphanage, found time to enjoy a blissful life with Kurenai and Yugao.

"No, don't…" 

"It's still broad daylight; Haku and Kimimaro might come back at any time…"

"It's unusual for all three of you to see me together. Let's get straight to the point—why have you called me here?"

The Third Hokage's smile remained unchanged, but Yu, showing no appreciation for the gesture, spoke with a calm demeanor.

"Here's the situation…"

"Yakushi Yu, are you willing to accept the appointment as the Fifth Hokage of Konoha?"

Faced with Yu's directness and sensing the formidable aura emanating from him, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu exchanged glances, took a deep breath, and then made the surprising announcement.
