Naruto: Inheritor of Otsutsuki Power

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: The Rejected Sanket

Points can only be obtained by decomposing entries.

Sanket knew this when he was three years old.

At that time, in order to reasonably appear near the Hyuga clan, he made friends with a group of children and played ninja games with them.

Because he was too popular, he was disliked by his peers and ended up fighting with some children.

Among them, several had ninja qualifications with white entries.

After these entries were exploded, the system prompt sound followed: fusion or decomposition.

By decomposing those entries, Sanket got 25 points. Each white entry decomposition gave a random single-digit point reward.

Now, after decomposing a purple entry, he got four-digit points at once.

Blue entries could all be upgraded.

"So, how many points are needed to upgrade a blue entry?"

Sanket was curious and couldn't help but click the plus sign next to Chakra Control.

Then, his panel changed again.

[Host: Sanket]

[Talent entries: Otsutsuki bloodline (red), Super Shadow aptitude (gold), Bloodline limit: Byakugan (purple), All-attribute constitution (purple), Chakra control (purple), Medical genius (blue)]

[Points: 793]

The Chakra Control entry changed from blue to purple.

And the plus sign behind Medical Genius disappeared.

The points dropped by 999.

"The levels of entries are divided into white, green, blue, purple, gold, and red. Decomposing white gives random single-digit points, decomposing purple gives four-digit points, and upgrading blue requires a three-digit extreme number. Is this score random or fixed?"

Sanket murmured in his heart: "If it's fixed at extreme numbers, then upgrading white to green would need 9 points; green to blue needs 99; blue to purple needs 999; purple to gold 99999; and red to an unknown higher level might need 999999?"

Sanket didn't know. He didn't have many entries below blue, and not enough points to test it.

Even if he had extra points, Sanket wouldn't waste them on low-level entries.

Except for special entries like Byakugan and Chakra Control, Sanket didn't plan to upgrade anything below red.

As long as he awakened the Rinnegan, he would possess many overwhelming abilities.

If developed to the extreme, he would have strength at the Six Paths level.

A pair of eyes was enough for Sanket to survive until the final battle of Shippuden.

Instead of wasting points on weaker entries, it was better to invest everything into the Otsutsuki bloodline.

Once it was upgraded again, the purity might reach the level of alien Otsutsuki clans.

At that point, he might awaken colored Rinnegan variations, wedge marks, and even god-like techniques.

Of course, this was all speculation—it was still too early.

---

The date changed to September 1st.

The second semester of Ninja School began.

This semester, Sanket finally began attending class in person—but only in the afternoons.

In the second semester, mornings still focused on cultural classes. Afternoons included physical education, shuriken throwing, and physical training duels.

Unfortunately, the physical training duel was randomly matched by Umino Iruka. Sanket was not matched with Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, or even Hinata.

"Teacher Iruka, can I apply to fight with Sasuke?"

Hearing it was random, Sanket asked Umino Iruka to let him fight Uchiha Sasuke.

Iruka hesitated but shook his head. "There is no special treatment in Taijutsu duels. Their purpose is to simulate real battle conditions. Your opponent may be stronger, weaker, or evenly matched."

"You must adapt to all situations—being crushed or dominating—and learn from each. Gain experience in defeat, satisfaction in victory, and grow from both."

"I understand, Mr. Iruka."

Seeing Iruka wouldn't bend, Sanket didn't insist.

He planned to challenge Sasuke after school instead.

But Sasuke's response made Sanket's mouth twitch.

"Sasuke, want to fight?"

"Sorry, not interested. I have to go home to train."

Uchiha Sasuke, not yet consumed by vengeance, was not as cold as in the original series. But he refused Sanket's challenge without hesitation and ran home with excitement.

After the Nine-Tails incident, the Uchiha clan was blamed and relocated near Nanga River.

Sasuke, still unskilled in Body Flicker, had a long walk home from school.

He just wanted to train with his brother and had no time to waste on Sanket.

Before Sanket could provoke him into battle, Sasuke had already vanished.

Sanket felt helpless.

He didn't challenge Naruto either.

Although the annual rankings hadn't happened yet, Naruto's performance in the first semester was already at the bottom.

Even the worst students could pronounce "chakra" correctly.

Only Naruto was still mispronouncing it after graduation. His academics were either blank or randomly filled.

His physical ability was below average due to poor nutrition.

If Sanket challenged Naruto, it would draw unwanted attention—possibly from the Anbu, or even Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzo, who were both closely watching Naruto.

Hiruzen was fine, but Danzo would likely suspect Sanket knew something or was part of a scheme to get close to Naruto.

That could put Sanket in danger.

So, for now, his only reasonable targets were Hinata and Sasuke.

After being rejected by Sasuke, Sanket didn't bother him further.

It was now September, Year 54 of the Konoha calendar. Only three months remained until year's end.

Next year, the Uchiha Massacre would take place.

Sasuke, as a new Avenger, would certainly accept Sanket's challenge by then.

So the next day, Sanket came to class again, but didn't try to challenge Sasuke.

If he was matched with Naruto or Sasuke, great.

But the other students weren't bad either.

Besides the two future saviors of the ninja world, the class also had the next-gen Ino-Shika-Cho and several perception-type students.

All of them had at least the minimum ninja qualification (white).

Any entry they exploded—even a white one—could be decomposed for points.

And the strongest nine students had blue, purple, gold, or even red entries.

Exploding any of them was a huge gain.

Sanket, unsure if shadow clones could trigger entry drops, couldn't afford to miss afternoon classes.
