Naruto: Infinite Favorability System: Ryuji's Rise in the Ninja World.

Chapter 14: "The forest, anger and truth: Sasuke confronts Ryuji in search of answers about Itachi"

Sasuke walked angrily through the forest.

The way of a ninja was to complete the mission, and what did it matter to make a small sacrifice to achieve it?

If he could kill this man, Sasuke would be willing to do it, even if there was a great sacrifice.

Even if it was his own life!

"Who's there, show yourself!" he shouted, already angry, as he realized he was being followed. He drew his kunai and looked around vigilantly.

"Does it still hurt there?" asked Ryuji, stepping out from the trees with a smile.

At the sight of Ryuji, Sasuke unconsciously covered his butt. ouch, how could it not hurt! But if he admitted it, his image would suffer, so he decided to keep quiet.

"You followed me just to make fun of me?" retorted Sasuke, annoyed.

"What I'm saying is, does your heart still hurt?".

Ryuji's words struck Sasuke's heart, who frowned and showed a fierce expression.

"What the hell do you mean?" shouted Sasuke.

"I mean you've forgotten the hatred."

Ryuji smiled slightly at the sight of Sasuke's stormy expression. As long as Sasuke remembered the hatred, he couldn't escape the next step.

"How could I forget it! My brother Itachi killed the entire clan, even our parents. In this life, I will kill that man."

"I saw you turn around and walk away, I thought you had forgotten your hatred."

"You came to persuade me to come back?", Sasuke was no fool and quickly understood Ryuji's intention.

"I advise you to abandon that idea. Kakashi and I have different shinobi paths, we can't join together." With that, Sasuke was ready to leave.

Ryuji had no intention of following him, he stayed in his seat and laughed softly.

"Sasuke Uchiha, certain people are afraid that they can't get over it in life."

"What did you say?" cried Sasuke, now certain that Ryuji knew what had happened that night.

"If you don't go back and continue with Kakashi-sensei's class, there won't be any teacher in Konoha village who will accept you in the future. You think you can overcome your brother all by yourself?"

Sasuke's anger rose, and his fingernails dug into his palms, leaving blood marks without him noticing.

Though he didn't want to admit it, Sasuke knew Ryuji was right. If there was no teacher to teach him, relying only on himself, he feared he would not be able to catch up with Itachi.

For a moment, Sasuke hesitated. Pride was useless in the face of hatred. The important thing was that, when the time came, he would have a better place to go.

"But will Kakashi-sensei be willing to let me go back?" asked Sasuke, hesitating.

Ryuji felt relief in his heart to see that Sasuke had changed his attitude.

"At first, Kakashi-sensei was totally against it, but I used my honor to guarantee that you would study well and become an amazing ninja in the future, and then he agreed."

Sasuke's heart was touched, surprised by Ryuji's sacrifice.

"Okay, I'll come back with you," Sasuke said, shoving his hands in his pockets and strutting back to where he had come from.

But within a few steps, Ryuji reached out and blocked his way.

"Wait a minute, don't you want to hear from your brother?" said Ryuji.

Sasuke's heart skipped a beat and his steps stopped. His eyes filled with a piercing coldness as he looked at Ryuji.

"This joke isn't funny at all!" shouted Sasuke.

"Itachi Uchiha is now in the Akatsuki Organization, and I'm guessing he'll no doubt be coming to Konoha within the year."

"Really?", Sasuke excitedly grabbed Ryuji's arm.

Although he couldn't be sure if the news was true, as long as there was information about his brother, Sasuke would never ignore it.

"Don't you want to know why your brother did that, why he killed the whole clan leaving only you?" continued Ryuji.

"That damn Itachi is a murderer, and there's nothing to justify what he did just to get the Mangekyō Sharingan!", Sasuke exclaimed angrily.

When it came to Itachi, Sasuke's anger never ceased. And after so many years of silence, it was rare to have someone to talk to, so Sasuke took the opportunity to vent.

"You don't know your brother well. Itachi is a kind person. If you want to know the truth, defeat me to show your strength and I'll tell you everything," Ryuji challenged.

Sasuke had always wondered why Itachi had done what he did, but he never managed to understand it, so he finally decided to see him as an evil person. But now, with Ryuji's words, his conviction wavered.

"Could it be that Itachi has his reasons too?" thought Sasuke.

"That I will only tell you if you defeat me!", Ryuji insisted.

"You!", Sasuke shouted, frustrated.

[Ding Dong! Sasuke's favorability has increased by two points! It's now sixty-one points! You can register it!]

The corners of Ryuji's lips curved slightly, pleased with the increase in Sasuke's Favorability.

"Log in Sasuke!"

[Ding Dong! Sasuke's record is successful! You've acquired Great Igneous Annihilation (Katon: Gouka Mekkyaku)! Favorability has increased by four points! It's now sixty-five points!]

Ryuji and Sasuke returned to the camp.

The first thing they saw was Naruto and Sakura sitting on their knees, but as they got closer they realized that they were suspended and their butts weren't touching the ground.

Sasuke sighed deeply at the sight and then touched his wound.

Seeing that Sasuke had returned, Sakura showed an ecstatic expression and ran to him.

"Sasuke, you're finally back!" exclaimed Sakura.

"Yes, I had reason to become stronger," said Sasuke, looking at Ryuji. "From now on I'll challenge you every day until I surpass you!"

Seeing Sasuke return, Kakashi breathed a sigh of relief before regaining his serious expression.

"Your performance just now disappointed me, but I'll give you one more chance to challenge Ryuji after lunch," Kakashi said.
