Naruto: I Have a Gravity Training Room

Megumi continued giving orders:

"Lee, Rinya's shadow clone and mine will go knock out Hinata first. Without Byakugan's (White Eye) vision and with our scents covered, Akamaru won't be able to track us, while I can use Pakkun's ability to lock onto both their teams. If our clones fail, Lee, you continue fighting – just make sure to take down Hinata first!"

Rinya added:

"Megumi and I will set up an ambush ahead. Lee, you draw their attention. If necessary, we'll support you."

"Yosh! Understood!" Lee responded energetically. He was never good at making strategies, so he just followed orders. Anyway, once he knocked Hinata out, he could fight as he pleased.

Each team had their own schemes, while Natsuki and the others watched with interest.

Natsuki praised:

"Aoba Team's coordination is always excellent. Honestly, they could just go grab the scroll directly, but to play it safe, they're choosing tactics."

Tenten nodded:

"Lee is always reliable. He'll act according to plan."

Tsunade and Shizune also nodded, fully approving of Aoba Team's coordination.

Only Shino wore a dark expression, already seeing Naruto, Kiba, and Hinata's inevitable defeat. 'Fooling around during an exam… Do they not want to pass?'

Soon, Naruto's team encountered Sakura's team.

Akamaru's nose didn't help, Hinata didn't use Byakugan (White Eye), and they ran straight into each other.

A fight broke out immediately. Kiba and Akamaru used Gatsūga (Fang Passing Fang) against Choji, believing him to be the strongest. But unexpectedly, Naruto, unwilling to hit girls, also attacked Choji using Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique) to compete with Kiba for the takedown.

Sakura and Ino weren't polite either, charging at Hinata. Though her Hakke (Eight Trigrams) palm strikes were decent, Hinata hesitated against fellow villagers. Quickly, Sakura and Ino snatched her scroll.

Oh – the Ten scroll was with Hinata!

Clearly, Kiba and Naruto repeated their previous mission mistake: failing to protect the scroll while fighting for credit, leading to a backdoor steal.

Natsuki and Tenten were speechless, while Tsunade and Shino's foreheads twitched in anger.

"With teamwork like this, how can they even think of taking the Chūnin Exams?"

At that moment, Megumi and Rinya's shadow clones suddenly struck, knocking out Hinata, though Sakura and Ino quickly teamed up to destroy the clones.

But then Lee arrived. With a sweeping kick, he sent Sakura flying. Though Lee had confessed to Sakura before, this was an exam to determine victory, and he naturally fought with full power – he didn't hesitate when kicking her.

To Lee, giving his all was the greatest form of respect.

Ino froze in shock, and Lee snatched the Ten scroll from her.

Everything happened so fast, no one could react in time.

But Aoba Team's reactions were sharp. Rinya and Megumi, no longer bothering to hide, appeared. Megumi quickly searched Sakura but found no scroll. Rinya had already subdued Ino, and Megumi grabbed the Chi scroll from her.

"Let's go!"

Lee, Rinya, and Megumi disappeared immediately towards Training Ground 8.

Meanwhile, Kiba and Naruto were still fighting Choji.

Sakura and Ino shouted angrily:

"Naruto! Kiba! You idiots! Both scrolls were stolen by Aoba Team! What are you fighting for!?"

Kiba and Naruto froze. Choji then sent them flying with Nikudan Sensha (Human Bullet Tank), but they couldn't care less about the pain – the scrolls were gone!

Naruto cursed:

"This is your fault, Kiba! If you hadn't competed with me, we wouldn't have lost the scroll!"

Kiba snapped back:

"You were the one competing with me! You didn't protect Hinata or the scroll either!"

"Enough! Stop arguing!"

Sakura roared, baring her teeth:

"Is now really the time to argue!? Aoba Team is about to reach Training Ground 8!"

That shut Naruto and Kiba up immediately. Both teams quickly chased after Aoba Team, Kiba carrying Hinata who was still unconscious.

However, catching up wasn't easy.

Aoba Team had already applied special scent-masking agents, and Rinya maliciously threw out cans of fermented fish to disrupt Akamaru's nose. With Hinata unconscious, they had no clue where Aoba Team had gone.

Helplessly, they could only run in the direction of Training Ground 8.

But along the way, they encountered multiple traps set up by Rinya and Megumi in advance.

Less than an hour later, Aoba Team reached Training Ground 8 with all three scrolls. The other two teams were still entangled in traps, far behind.

"Megumi, Rinya, Lee – well done!" Tsunade praised without hesitation. "Your coordination was excellent. I'm proud of you!"

The three beamed:

"Thank you, Tsunade-sama (Shishou)!"

Natsuki and Tenten also gave them thumbs up, fully acknowledging Aoba Team's performance.

Only Shino radiated dark energy, not towards Lee's team, but at Naruto and Kiba's display. He felt an urge to punch someone.

Half an hour later, the two battered teams finally arrived.

Before Tsunade could scold them, Shino released his insects to engulf Naruto and Kiba. Moments later, their chakra was drained and they collapsed, convulsing.

Hinata awoke, only to feel Shino's brewing fury.

His voice was low but clearly angry:

"Kiba, Naruto… what were you doing in the mock exam? Why fight for credit? Why not coordinate? Why didn't you protect the scroll? Hinata, this is a mock exam, but in the Chūnin Exams, teammates are opponents. You must act decisively, or you'll fail."

"S-sorry…" the three apologized miserably.

Meanwhile, Sakura, Ino, and Choji shivered.

Tsunade didn't bother lecturing them further. She simply said:

"I'll have today's mock exam results posted on the announcement board."

Naruto and the others paled:

"No way!"

"What do you mean no way? Didn't I tell you before the exam? You knew losing would be embarrassing, yet still performed poorly. Who can you blame? Aoba Team was stronger, but they barely fought and still won the scrolls. The problem lies with you."

They had no retort. Their faces fell. They truly didn't want their failures posted publicly.

Then Tsunade added:

"I think these mock exams are very meaningful. I've decided to hold another one next month – on a bigger scale, including other Genin teams, using the Forest of Death as the venue. And of course, results will be announced. Train hard!"
