Chapter 32: Chapter 32 The Chains That Bind
"Chakra feels... different."
Naruto opened his eyes, stretching out his right hand. A golden glow flickered at his fingertips.
The moment he unlocked the Adamantine Sealing Chains, his chakra had changed—evolving from its usual light blue into a shimmering gold. He could feel it condensing in his back, an odd itch spreading across his spine, mixed with a dull pain, like something was trying to break free.
The sensation continued.
"Is this... an upgrade? Similar to how the Uchiha awaken their Sharingan?"
Naruto frowned, recalling something from the past.
In the anime, the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, once explained that Uchiha who experience deep emotional pain release a special chakra that floods their optic nerves, triggering the Sharingan.
Maybe this was something similar?
His body was responding to the change—awakening a bloodline ability buried within his genes.
The discomfort eventually faded. Naruto exhaled and lifted a hand.
"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
Clang!
Four golden chains shot out from his back, unfurling like living serpents. They coiled and swayed around him, giving off a soft metallic hum as they moved.
A grin spread across his face.
"These... these are like extra limbs."
With a mere thought, he lashed out.
One chain slammed into the wall—crack!—piercing through effortlessly. Another shot forward, extending through the broken hole and wrapping itself around a tree outside.
Naruto clenched his fist.
Crack!
The tree shattered instantly, splintering into chunks before crashing to the ground.
He withdrew the chains, eyes gleaming.
"No wonder this is called the strongest sealing technique in the ninja world..."
In his past life, he'd always thought Adamantine Sealing Chains were a cheat ability—perfect for offense, defense, and sealing. And the best part? Unlike dojutsu, it didn't require years of practice. It started off powerful.
As long as he had enough chakra, he could use its full potential from day one.
Later that night, Naruto sat cross-legged in his dimly lit room.
Six flickering Scorch Style flames floated around him, casting shadows against the walls. The temperature surged to an unbearable level, yet Naruto remained unaffected.
Golden chains twisted and coiled in the fire, glowing a deep orange as the heat reflected off them.
Two powerful bloodline abilities.
Scorch Style.
Adamantine Sealing Chains.
One fueled by overwhelming destruction. The other designed to suppress even the mightiest of beings.
"Hey, Kurama."
Inside the seal, the Nine-Tails lazily flicked his tail, unimpressed.
"What?"
Naruto smirked. "What do you think of my strength now?"
Kurama scoffed. "Tch. Annoying chains. Just looking at them pisses me off."
He grumbled, his massive body shifting. "But yeah, I'll admit… those chains are strong. Even at my full power, those damn things could hold me down."
A pause.
"You're about as strong as a Jōnin now."
Naruto's grin widened. "Not bad, huh?"
"Don't get cocky, brat. You've got the power, but you lack experience. You're still just a kid."
Naruto chuckled and stood up, retracting the chains and flames back into his body.
"Yeah, yeah. But this is just the beginning."
---
The next morning, Naruto made his way to the Inuzuka compound.
Dozens of large ninja dogs lounged lazily outside, their ears perking up as he approached.
The moment they caught his scent, every single one of them shot up, baring their fangs and barking furiously.
Naruto winced at the noise. "Tch. Annoying mutts..."
An idea formed in his mind.
"Hey, Kurama. Lend me a little chakra."
"Don't screw it up, brat."
Orange-red chakra flared around Naruto, radiating an oppressive, primal force—raw, untamed, and filled with malice.
The dogs instantly froze.
Then, with terrified whimpers, they bolted, tails tucked between their legs as they scrambled to get as far away as possible.
Naruto smirked. "Yeah. That's what I thought."
Kurama snorted. "Hmph. At least you know how to make good use of my power."
---
After leaving the Inuzuka clan, Naruto picked up a small white dog—Akamaru.
Inuzuka Kiba had been out on a mission, so Naruto simply "borrowed" his pet.
He squatted down and held out a kunai. "Alright, Akamaru. Find the owner of this."
The little pup sniffed it a few times, then barked excitedly.
"If you find him, I'll buy you the best dog food for a year."
Akamaru yipped in agreement and took off running.
Naruto grinned and followed.
"The hunt begins."
