Naruto: Hatake's No Misfortune

Chapter 133: Attack on Konoha

---

"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

A total of five dark golden chains erupted from the ground. During the intense battle, Hatake Sakumo immediately recognized it as Namikaze Minato's sealing technique. As the husband of Uzumaki Kushina, Minato was a natural expert in sealing techniques passed down through the Uzumaki Clan.

"Kakakaka!"

The sound of chains clinking filled the air as Muzan, caught in the center of the technique, was firmly restrained.

The power of the Adamantine Sealing Chains was undeniable—strong enough to hold even the Nine-Tails for a time. With the assistance of Nara Shikaku's Shadow Paralysis Jutsu, the pressure on Muzan intensified, forcing him to halt his movements.

The overwhelming power of the seal snapped Muzan out of his violent rage, and his scarlet eyes gleamed with calculating malice. Seeing the golden chains binding him, Muzan quickly deduced the situation.

"Damn it!"

Muzan's body began to swell, grotesque flesh and blood expanding rapidly as he attempted to overpower the chains.

But they held firm. Muzan quickly realized brute force wasn't enough.

His sharp gaze swept across the battlefield, locking on the shinobi focused on maintaining the seal. With a swift motion, he retracted the excess flesh, masking his next move.

"Crack!"

With a sharp sound, Muzan severed his own hand, burying it in the ground. Thanks to his unparalleled regenerative abilities, he relied on the severed hand to serve as a hidden contingency. This was one of the most terrifying aspects of his power.

As Muzan ceased his physical struggle, the seal's effectiveness increased, pushing him closer to submission. The scarlet glow of his eyes dimmed as the combined efforts of Konoha's shinobi overwhelmed him.

Even with Muzan subdued, Minato didn't move to strike the killing blow. He knew Hatake Sakumo was watching closely, weighing the consequences of any action. Instead, Minato prepared to transport Muzan directly to Konoha with his Flying Thunder God Technique—there was no room for delay.

Muzan, calm but seething with hidden malice, offered no resistance. His silence, however, betrayed the deep hatred simmering beneath the surface.

Sakumo cast a wary glance at Muzan. If we imprison him, we must ensure no one underestimates his cunning.

Unbeknownst to the Konoha ninjas, Muzan's severed hand had already begun to take root underground, a subtle grin forming on his lips as a plan unfolded in his mind.

---

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the battle, Uzumaki Karin crept out of hiding. The young girl observed the devastation left behind, her crimson hair peeking from the shadows.

"Oh my God, what happened here?" she whispered, inching closer. Muzan's overwhelming presence was gone, but she couldn't shake her unease.

As she cautiously surveyed the area, she froze. A severed hand rested on the ground—Muzan's hand.

Before she could react, the hand leapt toward her, gripping her shoulder with a vice-like grip.

"Ahhh!" Karin screamed, her heart pounding. But this was no ghost. She recognized the eerie power emanating from the disembodied limb.

A mouth formed on the palm, and Muzan's sinister voice spoke:

"Take me to the Land of Waves."

---

Karin reluctantly obeyed, her mind racing as she carried Muzan's severed hand. Meanwhile, back in Konoha, the shinobi debated Muzan's fate.

"This man is a serious threat," one advisor said grimly.

"I suggest we execute him immediately. The longer we keep him alive, the greater the risk," another proposed.

"Easier said than done," countered a third. "The question is: how? His regenerative abilities make him nearly impossible to kill."

Minato, ever calm and composed, listened carefully to the arguments. As Hokage, he couldn't afford to make a hasty decision.

At the edge of the discussion, Danzo remained silent, his mind racing. He had made a secret pact with Muzan, and the thought of Konoha holding such a dangerous man made him uneasy. The Twelve Kizuki would undoubtedly retaliate, and the fallout would shake the entire ninja world.

Perhaps it's better to let things play out… Danzo thought, his eyes narrowing. His neutrality, for now, was all that was required of him.

---

In the Land of Waves, Karin finally arrived, trembling as she placed Muzan's severed hand on the ground. The hand pulsated, slowly regenerating into a more complete form.

The Twelve Kizuki, who had been hiding in the shadows, emerged. Kaede, stepped forward, her voice hoarse but resolute.

"Lord Muzan," she said, bowing low. "We cannot let you remain imprisoned. But how can we save you?"

Muzan, still incomplete, smirked. "You don't need to concern yourselves with that. Kaede, send Yamanosatsu to Amegakure. Inform the Akatsuki leader to prepare the attack. When the time comes, we will strike Konoha with precision."

---

Back in Konoha, Muzan's body remained sealed deep within a Prison, surrounded by the strongest seals and patrolled by ANBU ninjas. Yet, the storm brewing beyond Konoha's borders was far greater than anyone could anticipate.

---

"You really don't trust me."

The elite Jōnin stationed at the door never wavered. Even if Muzan wanted to act, escape was nearly impossible.

"Muzan, it's futile to resist. You won't escape from here," the guard declared coldly, noticing Muzan's subtle movements.

Any attempt at regeneration was obliterated by the searing flames surrounding the prison, which was located deep within a volcanic cavern. The unbearable heat and flowing magma were designed to weaken even the strongest prisoners.

"It's really not that easy," Muzan muttered under his breath.

Despite his apparent calm, Muzan wasn't in a rush to escape. His contingency plan was already in motion. The clues he had planted would soon bear fruit.

The clinking of chains fell silent once more. Only the occasional hiss of molten lava bubbles echoed through the cavern, an ominous backdrop to the stillness.

---

Outside Konoha

Hatake Sakumo wiped the blade of his White Fang with a sense of unease gnawing at his mind. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was brewing, though he couldn't pinpoint what.

Far beyond Konoha's borders, two groups converged near the Land of Fire: the Akatsuki and the Twelve Kizuki. Though their goals differed, they had agreed to collaborate for this mission.

The Akatsuki sought the Nine-Tails, while the Twelve Kizuki aimed to free Muzan. Both factions knew they would need each other to alleviate the defenses of Konoha.

Leading the Akatsuki was Konan, acting on behalf of Nagato, whose frail body prevented rapid movement. However, his Six Paths of Pain—each wielding the legendary Rinnegan—were more than enough to intimidate even the Twelve Kizuki.

The Twelve Kizuki were led by Pakura, the strongest among their ranks. Standing behind her was Zabuza Momochi, the lowest-ranked member of the group but still a formidable foe as one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

Upon reaching Konoha's outskirts, the group paused in the shadows of towering trees.

"Hizashi Hyūga," Pakura ordered, "it's your turn. Gather the information we need. Don't forget—your allegiance lies with us now. You are no longer a ninja of Konoha."

Pakura's sharp gaze lingered on Hizashi, aware of the potential risk he posed. If Hizashi betrayed them, Pakura would ensure he didn't live to regret it.

"Don't worry," Hizashi replied, his voice steady. "From the moment I killed Konoha's ANBU, I knew there was no turning back. I only ask that we minimize unnecessary destruction."

Hizashi's resolve was evident as he formed hand seals.

"Blood demon art: Byakugan Compound Eyes!"

A colossal Byakugan projection appeared, its gaze sweeping across the area. Every movement within its range was revealed in perfect detail.

"There's a squad of ANBU 500 meters ahead," Hizashi reported, his focus unwavering.

Shōkai, an expert in silent assassinations, stepped forward at Pakura's signal. "Leave it to me," he said, vanishing into the shadows.

---

The Attack Begins

The Akatsuki split off, heading for the Hokage's office, their sights set on the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki. The Twelve Kizuki—led by Pakura and Hizashi—focused on the volcanic prison where Muzan was held.

Standing atop Hokage Rock, Pain's Six Paths gazed down at Konoha with a mix of disdain and resolve.

"Is this the pinnacle of Konoha's prosperity? It will cease to exist after today," Pain declared.

This was the first time the Akatsuki had gathered in full force. Even Orochimaru, who usually distanced himself, had joined the mission.

As he looked down at the village he once called home, Orochimaru's expression was a mix of nostalgia and malice.

"As one of Konoha's Sannin, allow me to open the gates for you!" he said with a sly grin.

"Summoning Jutsu: Giant Two-Headed Snake!"

A colossal serpent erupted into existence, its arrival shaking the earth and reducing nearby buildings to rubble.

The villagers awoke to the sound of destruction, panic spreading like wildfire.

"What's happening?!"

"That thing—it's destroying everything! Run!"

In the midst of the chaos, Konoha's forces mobilized. Shinobi scrambled to defend their home as black smoke rose into the night sky.

Pakura watching from a distance, smirked. "It's time. Let's move!"

The Twelve Kizuki advanced toward the volcanic prison, their strategy clear: hit hard, hit fast.

Flames erupted as Pakura unleashed her power.

"Blood demon art: Burning Flame!"

A wave of fire scorched the battlefield, consuming enemies and allies alike. Pakura's overwhelming presence drove fear into the hearts of the ANBU stationed at the prison.

The guards knew they were outmatched. Elite Jōnin engaged the invading force while others rushed to inform the Hokage of the attack.

Deep within the prison, Muzan felt the tremors caused by the battle above. Chains rattled as molten rock cracked the walls.

The other prisoners sensed the chaos, their voices rising in excitement and fear.

"This might be our chance to escape!"

"Stay sharp—if we make a move now, we might survive!"

As the battle raged on, the fate of Konoha—and the world—teetered on the edge of chaos.
