NARUTO: God-level sign-in starts with infinite chakra

Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Konoha Forest.

Ikeno looked at Mizuki, who had a bruised nose and swollen face:

A kind expression;

An elegant temperament;

Handsome appearance;

But deep down, Mizuki's heart was twisted and dark.

Ikeno knew that Naruto, feeling alone and lost, needed comfort. Mizuki had used that vulnerability to mask his vicious plot with a fake warmth, trying to manipulate Naruto into making a terrible mistake. Like a predator disguised as prey, Mizuki was ready to stab Naruto in the back while appearing to be a friend. People like that, Ikeno thought, are the worst kind of enemy.

But such people often meet tragic ends.

In the original story, Mizuki defected to Orochimaru, only to be reduced to a disposable pawn. His arrogance led him down a path of self-destruction.

Ikeno had a simple belief: When faced with an enemy who wants to kill you, you don't just poke them with a needle. You wait for the right moment to strike hard when they least expect it.

"Do you really think you can match up to real power just because you share the same name element as the 'water' style? There's a vast difference!" Ikeno muttered. "Today, I'll end your pain."

Meanwhile, Naruto's confidence was growing after defeating Mizuki in battle. He and Iruka shared a warm embrace, celebrating the victory.

The moment had come.

Ikeno, carrying his Kusanagi sword, approached the unconscious Mizuki. With a swift motion, he slashed Mizuki's throat, blood spurting everywhere.

Mizuki woke up in shock and horror, grasping at his neck, trying to stop the bleeding. His eyes were wide with disbelief as he stared at Ikeno Jun, filled with despair.

"You should thank me," Ikeno said coldly. "If you had lived, your life under Orochimaru would have been far worse."

Mizuki's life slipped away, his eyes closing for the final time.

Iruka, noticing the shift, shouted in alarm, "Toshi Ikeno! What are you doing?!"

At the same time, in the Hokage Building, Hiruzen Sarutobi dropped his pipe in shock, having witnessed the whole scene through his crystal ball. "This boy's ruthlessness… it's…"

He used his Body Flicker Technique and disappeared.

Back in the forest, Iruka rushed to Mizuki, but it was too late. He couldn't save him. Naruto stood in shock, staring at Ikeno, speechless.

But Ikeno wasn't worried. He knew that Third Hokage was already aware of Mizuki's treachery. This wasn't an unjust killing. It was more like removing a poisonous thorn from Konoha.

Iruka, however, was still furious. "Toshi Ikeno, this was not your decision to make! Hokage-sama should have judged him!"

Ikeno wasn't panicked. As someone who had lived two lives, his mind was sharp, and his face was hardened to withstand criticism. He had a quick excuse ready. But first, he took off his shirt and, pulling out a small mirror from his space, he handed it to Iruka.

"What are you doing?" Iruka asked, puzzled.

"Sensei, please hold the mirror so it reflects my back."

Ikeno then used Healing Jutsu. The green light from his hand passed through the mirror, healing the wound on his back.

"Medical ninjutsu… used like this?" Iruka muttered in surprise.

But he quickly snapped back, his expression still stern. "But this doesn't change the fact that you killed Mizuki without orders!"

At that moment, the system rewarded Ikeno Jun for completing his tasks:

[Ding! Congratulations on boosting Naruto's morale and severely injuring Mizuki. Rewards include: Tailoring skills and self-created Lightning Style Ninjutsu.]

Ikeno was speechless.

Tailoring skills? What am I supposed to do with that? He thought. Am I supposed to become some sissy that embroiders clothes now? Ridiculous. And what was this "self-created Lightning Style" nonsense?

Iruka's voice pulled him back to reality. "Did you hear me, Ikeno?! Why did you kill him?!"

Without missing a beat, Ikeno switched to damage control mode. He bowed his head and spoke:

"...Sensei Mizuki used Clone Technique several times today. I thought the one just now was also a clone. You and Naruto are my closest people, and I couldn't risk your safety... I made a mistake and didn't realize it was his real body..."

The lie was smooth, yet believable.

Iruka considered his explanation.

Ikeno is just a boy, he thought. He was fooled by the Clone Technique earlier, so this was an understandable mistake.

Iruka's anger softened, and with a sigh, he said, "The Clone Technique is tricky… but you should have asked me first."

Ikeno nodded humbly, pretending to feel guilty. He took off his forehead protector and handed it to Iruka.

"I don't deserve this yet, Sensei. My basics aren't solid enough."

Iruka's heart melted instantly. "No, no. You've done well. You're more than ready to be a ninja."

Naruto, still dazed, suddenly came to life, shouting, "Wow! Ikeno, you're amazing!"

Iruka, confused, asked, "Amazing?"

Naruto eagerly explained. But just then, a figure appeared: Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage.

"Lord Hokage!" both Iruka and Naruto greeted.

"Grandpa Hokage!" Naruto added.

Hiruzen nodded, deep in thought as he looked at Ikeno.

After the medical team arrived, Hiruzen pulled Ikeno aside and took him back to the Hokage office.

In the office, Hiruzen spoke frankly. "You can fool Iruka, but not me. You killed Mizuki on purpose."

Ikeno Jun smiled slightly and replied, "Then, Hokage-sama, do you think Mizuki deserved to live after all he did?"

Hiruzen didn't reply immediately. Instead, he placed a hand on Ikeno's shoulder and gave him a banana. "Don't worry. You and Naruto were both victims. I'll make sure the story stays in your favor. But next time, don't act impulsively. Many eyes are watching you."

Hiruzen saw in Ikeno a fierceness that could either lead to greatness or destruction. If properly trained, he could become a powerful leader.

Back home, Ikeno tested his newly gained self-created Lightning Style Ninjutsu. After some practice, he successfully developed a new move: Lightning Style: Ball Balls!

Several small, blue electric spheres danced in his hand. They weren't lethal but could paralyze anyone they touched.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

It was Naruto.

"Hehe, just in time to test these on him…" Ikeno thought mischievously.

Meanwhile, Hinata, hiding in her attic at the Hyuga compound, secretly watched everything unfold.
