Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Void and the Warring States
In a void of pure white, a man sat alone, a single, human-shaped light illuminating the otherwise empty space. He stared at the light, his expression a mixture of curiosity and bewilderment. After a long, silent moment, he finally spoke.
"So, where am I?"
The light shimmered, then spoke, its voice a gentle, resonant hum.
"Oh, this is the void."
Mc: "What do you mean by 'void'?"
Light: "It means the beginning of all things, the source of creation."
Mc: "Hm." He pondered this for a moment.
"So, I am dead, right?"
Light: "Yes, you are."
Mc: "So, you want to reincarnate me in another world or something like that, right?
So, you are a god or something?"
Light: "You are correct. I am God. But you are not very entertaining."
God: "But why would I reincarnate you?"
Mc: "I know because I have read many novels, manga, etc. You know, they have many stories like this."
God: "So, you believe you deserve a second chance because you have accumulated good karma compared to many others. And that karma will be transformed into wishes for you."
Mc: "Thank you for telling me that, but I'd like to ask why I am so calm."
God: "Because I do not want you to lose control."
Mc: "Okay, so how many wishes do I have?"
God: "You have five wishes."
Mc: "Hm, can I travel to any world, like an anime world?"
God: "Yes, you can travel to any world that exists."
Mc: "Okay."
Mc: "So, I would like to travel to the Naruto world during the Warring States period."
God: "You can, but you will not be born into any clan."
Mc: "Okay, I don't care about that. For my next wish, I would like to retain my memories."
God: "A wise choice. If you were to forget, your memories of this life would be erased."
Mc: "I know, I am quite intelligent."
God: "We shall see."
Mc: "Cough cough... For my third wish, I desire the ability to perceive the potential of others, to see their talents and how far they can truly go, and to understand how to help them reach their full potential."
God: "You may have this, but misuse it, and the ability will vanish."
Mc: "For my fourth wish, I would like to possess all knowledge of ninjutsu, chakra development, and illusion techniques."
God: "Granted."
Mc: "And for my last wish, I want my family to experience the greatest happiness possible."
God: He smiled. "You can have that."
God: "Now, let your journey begin."
Mc: "Bye and thank you, God."
God: "Farewell, and live well."
In the Land of Fire,
Unknown Village,
A small group of villagers, both old and young, gathered around a swaddled infant. An elderly woman addressed the group.
"This baby was found abandoned in a basket," she explained, her voice filled with concern. "How could someone abandon an innocent child?"
An older man sighed. "It's a cruel world. War is everywhere. Perhaps his parents could no longer care for him."
The elderly woman bristled. "Then do you suggest we let him die in this desolate forest?"
The old man quickly corrected himself. "No, you misunderstood. I meant we should raise him, of course."
The elderly woman nodded. "Very well. Let him meet everyone then."
She raised her voice, "Listen, everyone!"
The villagers turned their attention to her. A few children, ranging from toddlers to ten years old, rushed towards her, their eyes wide with curiosity.
"This is the new member of our village," the elderly woman announced.
One of the children, a bright-eyed boy, piped up, "Grandmother, what is his name?"
The elderly woman smiled. "His name will be Ryuu."
The children erupted in excitement. "Ryuu! Look, he's awake! Here, Ryuu!"
As the villagers watched the children interact with the infant, a wave of warmth spread through the small community.
To be continued.
