Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Kurogami

After obtaining the Dark-Dark Fruit, Shin finally stopped diving into every skirmish the Fourth Division faced, allowing him to focus on honing his own skills.

With this freedom, he spent some time scouring the New World, eventually locating an ancient, eerie town full of bats—and, hidden within a cave, the elusive Bat-Bat Fruit, Model: Vampire.

This Devil Fruit, while perhaps a step down from the mythical Dragon, Phoenix, Buddha, or Yamata no Orochi Devil Fruits, was still considered among the top in the Mythical Zoan Category. It held powers comparable to Yamato's Okuchi-no-Makami Devil Fruit. In truth, for those limited to only one Devil Fruit, the Vampire Fruit might even outshine the Dark-Dark Fruit in direct combat. The Dark-Dark Fruit, however, held unparalleled potential for those who could wield multiple fruits due to its unique power to absorb others' abilities.

Over the past month, Shin's strength had grown tremendously, and his physique had been pushed to new limits. Now, it was his limited medical knowledge that prevented further enhancements. Despite the formidable technology and knowledge scattered worldwide, collecting it all would be far more challenging than in the Naruto world. This realization only strengthened Shin's resolve to return there.

One morning, Shin left the One Piece world without a word to anyone. After all, he could choose to reappear the very second he left. Saying goodbye seemed unnecessary.

As for the Yamata no Orochi Fruit? That was still under Kaido's control, and Shin knew he could wait. Even Kaido's prized Azure Dragon Fruit might become attainable if he became stronger in the Naruto world. Besides, the dragon zoan form looked far more impressive than the Yamata no Orochi.

In Naruto World:

Shin exhaled out of a bustling tavern, feeling a sense of familiarity and calm.

"Looks like the Third Shinobi World War just ended recently," he mused. "I must have missed that news during my last visit."

During his time in the tavern, Shin had learned that Konoha had a new Hokage—Namikaze Minato—and that Orochimaru had defected.

"I wonder where Orochimaru is now and if Akatsuki's organization has settled in the Land of Rain?" Shin smirked, his eyes gleaming with ambition.

Orochimaru's expertise in body modification, research into unique bloodlines, and knowledge of forbidden techniques would be invaluable for Shin's plans. Furthermore, the Akatsuki possesses treasures such as the Gedo Statue and the Rinnegan.

"First stop, Konoha," he decided.

While the Akatsuki might not be based in Rain Village yet, Konoha held numerous valuable resources. And he knew that Konoha was in for tough times ahead—with the Nine-Tails' attack expected in about a year. He planned to leverage the turmoil to his advantage.

"But before that, I'll take on some bounty missions. This will be the perfect way to test the powers of the Dark-Dark Fruit."

Several rogue ninjas sprinted through a dense grove, their faces twisted in panic.

"How did the Kurogami (God of Darkness) find us?"

"Save your breath!" the leader snapped. "I heard he's ruthless—his kills are brutal, and he's powerful enough to clear out every rogue in this area."

"Damn it! If I escape—" one began.

A chilling voice interrupted. "If you escape, what will you do?"

The group froze, turning to face a tall figure cloaked in darkness, a shadow that seemed to devour light itself.

"There's no running now. Let's fight to the end!" the leader barked, flinging a massive Fuma Shuriken from his back while the others quickly formed hand seals.

"Fire Style: Flame Bomb Jutsu!"

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"

The fusion of fire and wind roared toward Shin, a blazing dragon of flames intent on obliteration. But he remained unfazed, raising a hand. The dense, inky mist swirling around him expanded. The Fuma Shuriken hurtled into the dark mist, followed by the fire attack, which dissipated into nothingness as if under an invisible force.

"Die!" a rogue ninja yelled, leaping down from a tree, sword flashing in the dim light as he swung at Shin.

The sword struck, producing a metallic clang. The rogue stared, his weapon shattering as if he had struck steel.

Shin's hand shot up unperturbed, reaching for the ninja's neck. Though the movement seemed slow, the ninja found himself unable to move, and an overwhelming force dragged him toward Shin's outstretched hand.

The rogue ninja choked, feeling his chakra drain from his body, pulled by an unyielding force. It wasn't only his chakra—his life force, spirit, and even the warmth of his blood seeped away, devoured by Shin's touch. As his vision blurred, the rogue recalled the stories of the mummified corpses left in Shin's wake, drained of everything.
