Naruto: Fatherhood Made me Invincible

Chapter 96: Ch 96

With his injuries fully healed, Madara's eyes snapped open. A majestic, overwhelming aura erupted from his body as he rose to his feet, like a colossal beast breaking free from its chains in the abyss.

"Boy, I owe you a favor for this." Madara glanced at Kagami, his eyes filled with a complex mixture of gratitude and respect.

He then spoke with a calm finality, "However, I, Uchiha Madara, have never been indebted to anyone. After we kill the Sage, you may do as you wish with my Rinnegan." He knew his life was now a fleeting thing; he planned to repay Kagami's life-saving deed with the very eyes that granted him his god-like power.

Kagami's expression remained impassive. He waved a hand dismissively. "There is no need for your Rinnegan. Once this battle is over, you will simply do one thing for me."

Hearing this, Madara's eyebrows rose slightly, a flicker of genuine surprise crossing his scarlet eyes. He was taken aback that Kagami had no interest in the Rinnegan, the ultimate eyes that held power over life and death itself. A playful, dangerous smile touched Madara's lips as he briefly pondered Kagami's true motives, but he quickly dismissed the thought. He was a dying man; there was no point in dwelling on such things.

He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "As you wish."

With their pact sealed, both men turned their attention to the Sage of Six Paths, their eyes glinting with cold, murderous intent. A cruel smirk spread across Madara's face as his aura surged violently, like a predator about to pounce.

"You old fool," he growled, his voice dripping with venom. "You dared to defile Hashirama's body. For that, I will never forgive you!"

In the next instant, Madara raised his hand, and an unbelievably terrifying repulsive force erupted from his palm. The blast, like a violent storm, instantly deflected the Sage's incoming attack. Madara then vanished, reappearing like a phantom before the Sage, wielding his Six Paths staff in one hand and the Sword of Nunoboko in the other, charging forward with unstoppable power.

At the same time, Kagami felt a sharp ache in his eyes and quickly deactivated his Mangekyo Sharingan. Even that brief period of use had noticeably degraded his vision. His ocular abilities were powerful, but the cost was immense. If he continued to use them so frequently, he would soon be blind.

Though he didn't charge forward, Kagami's hands moved in a blur of signs, unleashing a relentless barrage of ninjutsu at the Sage. This forced his opponent to split his focus, dealing with Madara's ferocious assault while simultaneously absorbing the incoming jutsu.

Kagami had no intention of engaging the Sage in close-quarters combat. Without the power of the Six Paths or Yin-Yang Release, he would be vulnerable to the Sage's Truth-Seeking Orbs and Rinnegan abilities. The most effective strategy was to provide long-range support for Madara. This would ensure his own safety while constantly forcing the Sage to use his precognition to dodge, creating openings for Madara to strike.

Since his fire technique had too large an area of effect for this coordinated attack, Kagami clapped his hands together without hesitation. An emerald green aura of sage chakra flared to life around him, and distinctive green pigmentation appeared at the corners of his eyes. He had entered Sage Mode.

In this state, his connection to the natural energy around him became absolute. His strength, speed, and reflexes were all dramatically enhanced. Drawing upon this new power, Kagami began launching a continuous stream of Particle Style jutsu, each blast a golden meteor streaking across the battlefield to expertly cut off the Sage's escape routes.

Seeing the battle reignite with even greater intensity, the Konoha shinobi retreated further, scrambling as far as they could until they reached the very edge of Kagami's territory barrier. Even at this distance, they felt terrifyingly unsafe, but there was nowhere left to run.

Back in the heart of the battle, the Sage found himself in a difficult position. Because his Rinnegan could not absorb attacks infused with senjutsu chakra, he was forced to physically dodge Kagami's Sage Art-enhanced Particle Style. This constant evasion created numerous openings for Madara.

'This is not good,' the Sage thought, his expression growing grim. 'I have to break this stalemate! If this continues, they will eventually wear me down!' He had to eliminate one of them, and quickly.

Seizing a momentary opening, he parried Madara's strike and landed a powerful kick that sent the Uchiha flying. But just as he prepared to press his advantage, a volley of attacks from Kagami forced him to abandon his pursuit and defend himself.

Madara quickly recovered and charged back into the fray, forcing the Sage back into a desperate close-quarters struggle. The Sage flickered across the battlefield, trying to evade Kagami's relentless barrage while searching for a chance to counterattack. But Kagami's attacks were like an inescapable net, boxing him in and leaving him no room to maneuver.

Madara capitalized on every opportunity, his Sword of Nunoboko and Six Paths staff a whirlwind of deadly strikes. Each clash of power shook the heavens and the earth. Under their combined assault, the Sage of Six Paths began to look visibly battered and desperate. Both Madara's sacred weapon and Kagami's Sage Art could deliver a fatal blow. He had to pour all his concentration into defending against them, knowing a single mistake could mean his end.

The battle had reached a fever pitch. Kagami and Madara fought with perfect synergy, forcing the Sage back step by agonizing step.

'Damn it! I never should have allowed Madara to become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki!' Beads of sweat dotted the Sage's brow, his face pale from the immense strain. The constant need to use his foresight to counter their attacks was creating frequent one-second blind spots, forcing him to rely on pure combat instinct. While he could manage for now, he knew he couldn't sustain this. He would eventually lose.

He cast a desperate glance at the black barrier still covering the sky. He knew that unless he could break Kagami's territory and remove the spatial restrictions, he had no chance of victory. Only by regaining the ability to manipulate space could he turn the tide. A plan began to form in his mind.

After several more desperate clashes, he finally saw his chance. He dodged Kagami's attack and used a massive wave of repulsive force to blast Madara away. Without pausing to breathe, he slammed his hands together, his eyes blazing with fiery determinaion. "Six Paths Sage Art: Deep Forest Emergence!"__________________________
