Chapter 13: The Awakening
"Have you heard about the Uchiha genocide yesterday?"
"Tsk. I already know that. I heard it was Itachi. He's really amazing."
"Hmph, now Sasuke's the only one that still alive. Let's see if he still looks down on us like before." There was a lot of discussion in the classroom.
"Hinata, do you know what is going on?" Although Ryoha also knew what was going on, he still had to be surprised. Otherwise it would be strange.
"Ah... I... I know. My father told me that Sasuke's brother, Itachi, killed the whole clan, leaving only Sasuke alone." Hinata cried and saw Ryoha staring at her. Her face blushed, and she hesitated a bit before slowly speaking.
"Haha, you can't even see such an obvious flaw. Even if Itachi had just awakened the Mangekyo, how many times he could use it in a day? " Although the Uchiha isn't as strong as before, there were still a few Jonins there, though still below the level of Kage.
"Even if Itachi could kill them all with his strength alone, how could he silently kill them without alerting anyone? Forget it. It's none of my business anyway." Ryoha pretended to realize something and immediately ignored it. Life would go on anyway.
After school, Ryoha returned home as usual. However, just as he sat down, he was caught by Bulma in the basement.
"What are you doing?" Ryoha looked at Bulma in confusion. Bulma was studying the gene fusion, but why did she suddenly bring him down?
"Idiot. Of course I'm going to check your body. I want to see if your body and genes have been transformed. After the transformation is successful, I'll help you awaken the eyes." Bulma knocked on Ryoha's head annoyingly.
"Really? You can help me awaken my eyes?" Ryoha looked at Bulma in surprise.
"One Tomoe is still possible. Awakening the first tomoe is the easiest. If you are not wrong, you need to have an emotional shock in your heart. Perhaps it is hatred or anger."
"So as long as you have an extreme emotional shock, it will awaken. As for the second tomoe, you can't use the same way. It can only be awakened by yourself in battle. The first tomoe is the easiest to obtain."
Bulma said them as she checked Ryoha's body. It took her half an hour to check his body in detail. She sighed a little after finishing the check-up.
"It seems that you have been working even harder than before. Otherwise, your body wouldn't have been able to fuse with the genes of the Sharingan so quickly. It is even better than I imagined." Bulma said happily. After all, the stronger Ryoha was, the happier she would be.
Ryoha didn't say anything. He lay on the table and giggled. This meant that he could awaken the Sharingan. However, Mangekyo and Eternal Mangekyo were still far away. He could think about it when he awakened the third tomoe. He had not worried about blindness from Mangekyo Sharingan yet.
Because he believed that Bulma would have a way to solve it since he had already told her everything he knew about the Sharingan.
"Ryoha, what is the most important thing in your life? Something that once you think about it, you won't be calm. Is there anything that will give you some kind of emotional shock?"
Bulma asked worriedly. Her method was straightforward. She used an electronic device to hypnotize Ryoha without any resistance directly. It could make Ryoha remember the most profound thing in his life and replay the scenes inside his mind.
Although it wasn't as good as Tsukuyomi's illusion, it was like time travel. Ryoha would relive those moments. It was a great way to awaken his eyes. Of course. Only if Ryoha had this kind of thing that could shake his emotions.
"There wasn't any before, but now there should be one after dying once. It should be the scene of death. People are afraid of death, and so do I. I am scared of death. If I were to experience it again, I think I would definitely have a great emotional shock."
Ryoha recalled the process of his death back then. Although he had fainted and the pain had reduced to the minimum, the feeling of helplessness, darkness, loneliness, and fear still enveloped his body and mind.
"Very good." Bulma nodded in satisfaction. The crackling sound of keys immediately rang out, and something that looked like headphones came to the left and right of Ryoha's head.
"Just relax—no need to resist. You can start resisting after the illusion starts. As long as you can break free from the fear of death brought by the hypnosis, You have a great chance to awaken the Sharingan. Remember that there is only one chance."
"If you fail the first time, your heart will have resistance. Even if you face this kind of thing again, it won't help you. I can't help you if you fail. You can only rely on yourself." Bulma said softly.
"Come on." Ryoha relaxed his body and mind. Bulma glanced at him. After making sure that Ryoha had settled without any resistance, she gently pressed the red button in front of her.
The silent waves immediately stimulated Ryoha's brain. Ryoha, who was completely relaxed, slowly closed his eyes. Countless images started appearing in his mind. It was different from his usual memories.
Merging with those memories felt like watching a movie. It felt like he had slowly returned to the past and reliving his old memories as an outsider.
"Haha, it's twelve o'clock. We can go out to eat supper." It was twelve o'clock now. Ryoha began to recall everything that had happened in the past. Now he wasn't an outsider. It felt like he had merged into his memories.
He experienced it once again. He knew his end and soon would die. However, he did not want to. He wanted to struggle and resist, but he couldn't. But it was just a memory. Ryoha was just deeply immersed in his memories and could not extricate himself.
"Poof!"
Ryoha widened his eyes. He knew that it was really going to happen. As if a patient knew in advance when he would die, but there was nothing he could do. He could only wait helplessly.
