Naruto : All Genders are reversed except for me

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Dark Side of Konoha

After three rounds of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, Naruto noticed Sasuke's condition hadn't improved much.

Frustrated, he decided to go all in. Pressing his hands onto Sasuke's chest, he mimicked the CPR techniques he had learned in his past life.

Three more cycles of CPR later, Sasuke's breathing finally stabilized.

"Sasuke, wake up… it's thundering and raining. Time to bring in the laundry."

Sasuke's long lashes trembled slightly before her clear, watery eyes slowly opened, meeting Naruto's relieved face.

The piercing scream or panicked shouting Naruto had anticipated didn't come.

Instead, as Sasuke regained consciousness, she immediately recalled their earlier battle. Her pale face and trembling lips reflected the humiliation that overwhelmed her. Tears welled up in her large, expressive eyes.

"I lost... I actually lost to a dead last like you…"

Seeing Sasuke recover filled Naruto with a sense of accomplishment, and he couldn't help but smile. But upon hearing her first words after waking, his grin froze.

"Do you even hear yourself right now?" Naruto said, his voice heavy with reproach. "If I hadn't saved you just now, you'd probably be dead."

Sasuke pouted and turned her head away, unwilling to admit any fault.

"Hmph! I don't care! I won, so according to the rules, you have to agree to three of my demands." Naruto didn't care that Sasuke was a girl; activating his system was far more important.

"I am the heir to the Uchiha's honor. Speak—what do you want?" Sasuke replied coldly. After all, she couldn't deny that she had indeed lost to Naruto. As a member of the proud Uchiha clan, her word was her bond.

However, when Sasuke didn't hear an immediate response, she turned to look at Naruto, who was making the sign of reconciliation.

"Hah! If you think I'll form the sign of reconciliation with you now, keep dreaming. Our duel isn't over. Mark my words—I will defeat you next time, and your underhanded tricks won't work again."

Naruto shrugged and withdrew his hand. "Fine. As long as you honor your promise, I'll be ready for your challenge anytime."

"Not a challenge—combat," Sasuke corrected sharply.

Naruto realized that in Sasuke's mind, accepting a challenge from him—the supposed underdog—was a slight against the honor of the Uchiha clan.

"Sure, whatever you say." Naruto waved dismissively. "Now, about that first condition of mine?"

Sasuke's large eyes studied Naruto. After this fight, she realized she couldn't afford to underestimate this so-called "dead last" anymore.

Naruto got to his feet, flipping his hair dramatically. "My condition? Take me to the Uchiha compound. I'll tell you the rest when we get there."

Without waiting for her response, Naruto began walking toward the riverbank. When he didn't hear footsteps behind him, he turned around and called out, "What's wrong? Don't tell me the proud Uchiha prodigy is planning to go back on her word?"

As expected, the jab hit a nerve.

Even though the Uchiha clan had been annihilated, Sasuke still clung to her clan's honor. She would not allow herself to bring shame to the Uchiha name.

"Hmph."

Sasuke got up with a huff and stormed past Naruto, leading the way.

The sun dipped below the horizon, and twilight painted the sky in shades of gold and purple. The quiet riverbank felt desolate and lifeless.

A boy trailed leisurely behind a twin-tailed girl, occasionally complaining for her to slow down.

Sasuke's frustration simmered just beneath the surface. Her final shred of pride had been trampled by a so-called "dead last." If not for her determination to hide her vulnerable, tear-streaked face from Uzumaki Naruto, she might have broken down already.

After about 15 minutes, the pair arrived at the edge of Konoha, where the Uchiha compound lay.

The sight of the sprawling, opulent estate, now eerily silent and devoid of life, sent a chill down Naruto's spine.

It was hard to imagine Sasuke living alone in this desolate place for the next five or six years.

"No doubt about it—the Uchiha were something else. This place is massive and... extravagant," Naruto commented, his voice tinged with awe.

Sasuke acknowledged his remark with a soft hum, then turned and said, "We're here. Name your first condition."

Naruto met Sasuke's gaze and held up two fingers. "I want 20,000 ryō."

He gestured toward the massive compound. "A little pocket change like that shouldn't be a big deal for the great Uchiha clan, right?"

Sasuke's eyes narrowed in disdain. Twenty thousand ryō? Her personal stash alone far exceeded that amount.

"Hmph. Fine. Follow me."

A bet was a bet, and for a member of the Uchiha clan, his demand was hardly unreasonable.

Naruto grinned widely. With money in hand, getting the 1,000 negative emotion points and 1,000 shock points he needed would be a breeze!

For the negative points, he could just wander around Konoha stirring up trouble.

And if that didn't work, he could always grab some paint buckets and redecorate the Hokage Rock.

As for shock points, all he needed was to unlock some flashy features in his golden system. The possibilities were endless!

Brimming with excitement, Naruto followed Sasuke toward the compound gates.

But just as they reached the entrance, they were greeted by an unsettling sight: over a dozen carts lined up, loaded with priceless antiques and rare household items.

Standing guard around the carts were a group of masked shinobi dressed in black, their masks adorned with ominous patterns.

Seeing their masks, Naruto's heart sank, a sense of foreboding washing over him.

This was his first visit to the Uchiha compound, so he didn't recognize the heirlooms being carted away. But Sasuke did.

Having grown up here, Sasuke immediately recognized many of the items—treasures from her clan's storied history, imbued with memories of her childhood.

These items were all that remained of the Uchiha legacy. And now, they were being taken away.

"Who are you people? What are you doing in the Uchiha compound?"

Sasuke's Sharingan activated, the single tomoe spinning as her anger surged.

The leader of the group, a man with an unfeeling voice, replied coldly, "We are here under orders from Lord Danzo to take possession of the Uchiha clan's assets."

The team leader's voice was devoid of emotion, as mechanical and cold as a machine.

The other Root shinobi drew their kunai, ready for confrontation.

"Stand down!"

Sasuke's last thread of restraint snapped. She couldn't allow these people to tarnish the remnants of her clan's glory.

"I'll kill you!"

Sasuke charged at the leader.

But compared to the Root members, she was like an ant trying to topple a mountain.

If not for Danzo's orders to spare the Uchiha survivor, the team leader's strike would have ended her life then and there.

One of the masked shinobi, faster than lightning, kicked Sasuke away before she could land a blow.

The force of the kick sent Sasuke flying, blood dripping from the corner of her mouth. She was about to crash onto the stone pavement when Naruto rushed forward and caught her midair.

Even with preparation, Naruto was surprised by the sheer power behind the kick. He staggered back five steps before managing to steady himself.

The Root leader regarded Naruto with mild curiosity. "You're that child, aren't you?"

At his words, a dozen hostile gazes locked onto Naruto through the slits of their masks.

Naruto, suppressing his anger, carried Sasuke away without a word.

"Just wait. When I become Hokage, I'll deal with all of you!" he declared, leaving the compound with Sasuke in his arms.

Sasuke, battered and humiliated, held back her tears as best as she could. But in the end, silent droplets of despair slipped from her eyes.
