Chapter 3: CHAPTER THREE:A Villain In Disguise
Chapter Three:A Villain In Disguise
After about thirty minutes, the school bell was heard calling for assembly. I got up and took my hymn and followed Ovie to the assembly hall. The primary school were also having their assembly in their own assembly hall.
The school was really big as it looks. I asked Ovie to show me the line of the SS3 girls (the assembly was arranged with JSS1 boys in one side while JSS1 girls in one side,Jss2 boys in one side while JSS2 girls in another side and it continued like that till Ss3). The assembly started with morning devotion, then we all sang the hymn and the National anthem with the National pledge. The school anthem with the school pledge.
The two students who conducted the assembly were the head boy and the head girl whose uniform they were smartly dressed in.
After the school pledge,we greeted the principal, teachers and our fellow students as required of us.
After the greeting,Mrs Stella the principal walked to the front of the school to give her announcement.
"Good morning students"she said.
"Good morning to you our principal"we echoed.
"We have about only one announcement. We have a new student who would be joining this school. She is intelligent and very good. She is also smart. She is joining the SS3 class, and let's give an applause to Naagin Cabreera"she said.
The students clapped as I walked to were the principal stood. I was somehow shy. The students sang for me the welcome song and I really appreciated it.
After everything,we all marched to our various classes.
I went and sat with Ovie. It looked like he was waiting for someone. It didn't take long before a tall boy, slim and black in complexion came in and sat close to me. He gave me a smile and I gave him an ackward smile back. His name was Ogba Praise. I didn't actually like him but let me not lie readers, any time he stood, instead of the belt to hold the trouser,it held the shirt.
The first teacher to come to our class was the Math teacher. He was tall and fat.
Though he was chocolate in complexion. He came into the class and we greeted him. He taught us and gave us class- work and an assignment. Before he left he asked the class a question that the class couldn't answer the question. The question was,
"Class! before I go. Who can tell me the sum of an exterior angle?"
He asked waiting for an answer.
Though I knew, the answer but I wanted someone to say the answer. Then Ovie and Praise raised their hands. Seeing Ovie and Praise raising their hands,I raised mine.
I was pointed.
"The sum of an exterior angle is equals to 360°"
I answered correctly.
