Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 998: Breaking Through to the Supreme Level, the Reincarnation of A Primordial Being (II)

Gazing at the towering figure in the sky, whose demonic force rolled like a tidal wave, Constantine fell silent for a moment before slowly saying, "Since you already have a plan, Tyretis, why have you come here?"

Tyretis replied in a low tone, "Because I need you, Constantine, or rather, I need the Primordial Ancestor's power to locate Chu Batian and drag him, along with the alien demon god behind me, into the Supreme Abyss."

"The Kumodo Race... didn't you destroy that civilization over seven hundred years ago?" Constantine's brows furrowed slightly. "Besides, to accomplish that would require the consumption of a true demon's scale left behind by the Ancestor, and use its true name to locate Chu Batian. Furthermore, to open the actual Supreme Abyss and send both him and that alien demon god across time and space into the supreme planes would cost a portion of the Ancestor's origin, which would delay its return."

Tyretis coolly answered, "Your worry is unnecessary. As long as we can eliminate that summoned beast, the humans will be no match for me and Cardeos. There will no longer be a need to awaken the Ancestor. I can feel it. Back then, the Primordial Ancestor's origin wounds were not fully healed. Forcing its early awakening might damage its foundation and erase all hope of ascending to a supreme true demon. If that happens, Constantine, do you think you'll be able to bear the Ancestor's wrath?"

Constantine's expression hardened slightly, and Tyretis continued. "This Kumodo possesses the power to erase space, not just physically, but conceptually. It can nullify the very meaning of space in its surroundings. This was why I chose not to annihilate it back then, but to suppress it within my own abyssal hell. Over the past few centuries, I've been researching how to integrate this power into my demon god bloodline, and I've already made some progress. It will also serve as my weapon against Chu Batian. I've already shattered its will, and its body is now controlled by a demon soul I implanted within it. When it burns both its soul and true form origin, its combat strength will reach the late stage of the demon god level. On top of that, I have equipped it with the racial weapon of the Heavenly Silkworm Race. After it destroys the summoning altar, it might even land a severe blow on Chu Batian. Then once Kaodes and the others arrive and the Purgatory army is assembled, we'll be able to immediately launch an extinction war against the human race and end it all in a single battle. So what will it be, Constantine? Are you prepared to endure the wrath of the Primordial Ancestor devouring you the moment it awakens, or will you give my plan a try?"

A hint of hesitation appeared in Constantine's eyes, as it calculated the probability of success in Tyretis's plan.

In the previous battle, aside from summoning the colossal beast, Chu Batian had displayed combat strength comparable to the middle stage—almost the late stage—of the ancient titan level. The demonized alien divine king Tyretis referred to had combat strength at the late stage of the ancient titan level, even slightly stronger than Chu Batian.

Then there was that racial weapon from the Silkworm Race, which Tyretis's empire had destroyed more than a thousand years ago. When activated by burning all of its energy, it could unleash explosive power approaching the peak of the ancient titan level. Combined with the power to erase space itself...

"Let's try it," Constantine finally agreed.

Though it had dedicated everything to its people as a priest of the Purgatory Clan, as a demon god who had lived nearly ten thousand years, if it could avoid death, it naturally would. Even if the plan failed, it would at most delay the Primordial Ancestor's awakening by half a day-cycle. However, if it succeeded, there would be no need to forcibly awaken the Ancestor and risk incurring its fury.

Seeing Constantine's agreement, a satisfied expression appeared across all three of Tyretis's vicious faces. Just as Tyretis's massive body stirred and prepared to enter the ancestral court, however, Constantine suddenly erupted in an explosion of endless black light.

Boom!

As the two powerful forces of principle clashed, the entire world trembled. Constantine slowly said, "Tyretis, it seems you've forgotten the decree that forbids all demon gods of the empires from entering the Ancestral Court."

At the same time, the vast palace complex below, spanning thousands of kilometers, began to shake. A terrifying power deep within began to awaken, echoing in resonance with Constantine.

Roar! Roar!

Dark demonic qi rolled violently around the demonic palaces. Two massive dark colossal beasts emerged, their cold gazes fixed on the demon god figure in the sky. Facing the demon god priest and the two guardian beasts barring its entry into the ancestral court, Tyretis released an even more terrifying aura. The sky itself quaked under its overwhelming demonic force, which even surpassed the limits of a demon god.

However, the two sides merely stood in stalemate for a moment before Tyretis slowly retracted its presence and said in a low voice, "After centuries of war with the Heavenly Feathered Race, I nearly forgot this rule. In that case, I leave it to you."

Tyretis extended two arms behind it and grasped at the void.

Boom!

The dark-red abyssal world quaked, and the alien divine king suppressed within it was compressed as well, eventually condensing into a glowing crimson sphere a kilometer in diameter, which Tyretis held in its palm.

Seeing the compressed micro-world above, Constantine's eyes flashed with a trace of shock. Compared to the Tyretis of centuries ago, its power had become even more formidable after absorbing the foundation of the Heavenly Feathered Race. However, the moment Tyretis raised its arms to hand over the dark-red world, Constantine's expression suddenly changed.

Boom!

Constantine's body plummeted. Space beneath its feet exploded as it crashed like a meteor into the Ancestral Court, collapsing a demonic palace over a hundred thousand meters tall. The ground shook violently, dust and debris billowing outward. Within the smoke and shockwaves, Constantine struggled to support the dark-red world in its hands and said slowly, "Perdas, you all attend to Tyretis outside. I'll go in first."

Roar! Roar!

The two dark massive beasts let out deep bellows, their enormous bodies rolling in the dark demonic qi and revealing clear signs of wariness. High above in the sky, Tyretis silently watched as Constantine's figure vanished, its gaze icy and indifferent.

Constantine passed through palace after palace, bypassing layer after layer of restrictive barriers until it reached the depths of the complex. Beneath the shroud of dark demonic qi that covered the sky, a stone statue stood a hundred thousand meters tall, planted at the entrance of a collapsed altar leading downward. Carrying the dark-red world in its hands, Constantine approached the altar solemnly.

Hum!

The moment Constantine drew near, the eyes of the towering statue lit up, and a wave of light scanned its entire body, including the fluctuations of its divine soul. After confirming its identity, the statue's eyes dimmed once more, and the power within fell silent again.

Constantine, however, didn't immediately enter the altar. Instead, it slowly closed its eyes, and a complex dark-golden rune emerged on its brow.

Boom!

As the power of the sacrificial rune activated, Constantine's consciousness trembled. In a flash, it arrived within an unimaginably vast region of dark starry night.

Deep in that starry expanse, an immense and boundless form lay across the void. Its entire body was covered in pitch-black scales, and principles of darkness spread around it, contaminating and corroding everything in sight.

A rift stretched across the massive being's head, running from the crown to its lower jaw. There was also a faint crack across the restored scale armor and battle plating at the center of its enormous body, as if it had once been nearly cleaved in two by some unknown force. However, after several thousand years, this terrifying existence's wounds had nearly healed.

As Constantine's will-manifested form looked upon the star-spanning, sky-darkening figure, its eyes burned with fervor. It knelt in reverence, voice filled with devotion. "Great Ancestor, your humble servant Constantine comes to pay homage. This time, I come with an urgent matter to report to the supreme and mighty you, and to request one of your true scales to draw forth your supreme manifestation..."

Constantine's will echoed across the dark starspace, imbued with sacrificial power, hoping to elicit a response from that grand existence. However, even after a long while, the dark starry space remained utterly silent, leaving Constantine somewhat disappointed.

Once again, the Purgatory Primordial Ancestor had not responded. Still, as the sole demon god priest appointed by the Primordial Ancestor before it fell into slumber, Constantine held a high level of access. With no response received, a dark-golden rune emerged on the brow of Constantine's phantom-like will. It resonated with the principles saturating the starry sky.

Boom!

The entire dark starspace quaked. One after another, materialized chains of principle sequences appeared, radiating a dreadful aura that instilled fear in all living beings. The power rippled through space-time, piercing through material space itself.

In an instant, it spread across billions of kilometers. The dark demonic qi that blanketed the eight Purgatory Empires trembled. Thunder roared across the azure sky, gales howled, and endless crimson light descended.

In the stunned gazes of billions of demons, demonized aliens, demonized colossal beasts, and demon kings and great demon kings, the demonic qi in the sky shattered. A vast, boundless dark-red abyssal world slowly descended.

This world was not a mere projected illusion formed from a demon gods' principle power, but the true Supreme Abyss itself. It now appeared like a planetary body billions of kilometers across and floated just a million kilometers above the world, distorting space-time with its presence and unleashing bizarre phenomena.

"Brooks... what is that!?"

In a fortress city on the fringes of the Purgatory Demon Clan's territory, a fork-horned demon king stared up in horror. Beside it, Brooks wore an equally grim expression.
