Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1107: The Evil Gods of the Outer Heavens (II)

Deep within the battleship's central mountain, a pitch-black rift was ripped open by the power of principles. The Hell's Wheel floated in its depths, radiating an ominous pressure. Before it, Chen Chu opened the Hell's Eye between his brows. A surge of power filled with endless bloody force burst forth, like a boundless sea of gore.

He lifted his right hand and pressed it against the Hell's Wheel. Instantly, the eye between his brow blazed violently, and endless blood-red light streamed from it, pouring into Hell's Wheel. The massive wheel shuddered as that power surged through it, igniting the countless runes etched across its surface. Then, some broke away and drifted into the void.

Those twisted, blood-soaked runes spun together in the darkness, merging into the shape of a terrifying devil's head. Its jaws opened wide and swallowed Chen Chu whole.

Boom!

The blood-red light erupted. Spacetime collapsed, and both Chen Chu and the devil head disappeared. Only the dimly glowing Hell's Wheel remained, suspended in the black void.

The Hell's Wheel was more than a marker for descent. It also anchored Chen Chu's return. Without it, leaving would carry a serious risk. His essence had already reached a level close to the primordial level, which made it almost impossible for him to re-enter the mythical world at this exact point in time without that anchor.

The sky pressed down dim and heavy, while the land glowed blood-red. Rivers of molten lava coursed across the ground like burning veins, releasing heat fierce enough to incinerate all life. This world was like hell; or rather, it was Hell itself.

From the scorched earth rose a massive blood-red palace, towering tens of thousands of kilometers high. Black clouds stretched a million kilometers around it, and within them countless winged monsters circled and shrieked with piercing cries.

Before the palace stood a vast square built upon lava and fire, its foundation propped up by massive bones. There, thousands of Hell Devils gathered in formation. Their hulking bodies were sculpted from white bones, each one dripping with blood that stained their twisted forms. Even the smallest reached a hundred meters tall, and each one radiated a murderous pressure on par with mythical beings.

Inside the blood-red palace, twenty-nine bone-forged thrones loomed ten thousand meters high. Thirteen were occupied by figures exuding the oppressive might of the true spirit level. Their forms differed: some stretched thousands of meters, others only a few hundred. Each of them carried an aura so dreadful it seemed to crush everything around them.

On one of the thrones to the front left, space suddenly twisted. A red spark flared out of nothing, then burst into a flood of blood-red light. A murderous aura surged forth, steeped in slaughter and savagery. It swept through the hall, turning it into a vision of the Blood Sea Purgatory.

From within that blood sea, Chen Chu emerged, wrapped in blazing red radiance. He wore blood-red armor that blended the grace of a robe with the strength of battle gear. His long hair streamed like liquid blood, and fine red scales veiled his striking face. His appearance echoed one of his three demon god aspects from hell.

The instant he descended, the massive throne beneath him collapsed, twisted, and reshaped itself, shrinking to fit his figure. However, to the Hell Apostles seated nearby, and to the legions of Hell Devils watching below, the throne still loomed ten thousand meters high. Bathed in blood-red light, it radiated majesty and power so overwhelming no one dared defy it.

Every Hell Apostle present fixed their eyes on him. Their gazes showed indifference, curiosity, and icy hostility. Compared to their massive forms, Chen Chu's 190-centimeter frame seemed no larger than an ant. However, none of them dared look down on him. Anyone who could set foot on the plane battlefield was no weakling. Those who were had long since been ground to dust and left as bones.

Chen Chu met their stares with a cold gaze of his own. His senses told him that even the weakest among them carried the pressure of the true spirit level, and each one concealed strange and terrifying reserves of power. Their outward cultivation revealed little. Whether they could leap one minor realm or even two was something only combat could reveal.

One figure in particular drew Chen Chu's attention. It was a withered, slender form wrapped in black robes, its body hidden within a haze of smoke. From that Apostle, he faintly sensed danger.

Peak of the true spirit level... or perhaps semi-primordial?His eyes narrowed.

Because each Hell Apostle cultivated under a different system of power, Chen Chu could only sense that they were all around the true spirit level. Their exact levels were harder to pinpoint, especially with their auras deliberately restrained.

As Chen Chu tried to make his guess, a creepy sound, like countless insects crawling, came from within the black haze. A ripple of will rang out. "Lord of another world... staring at me like that is rather impolite, don't you think?"

Sensing the faint hostility, Chen Chu withdrew his gaze. His voice remained calm. "My apologies. I only looked longer because you seemed the strongest among those present."

His comment made several Apostles' eyes flicker, caution sharpening in their stares.

The smoke-shrouded figure gave only a cold snort. It studied Chen Chu for a moment, then fell silent. Everyone here had cultivated for countless years. Without knowing the depths of another's strength, no one would choose to make enemies lightly.

On Chen Chu's left, a massive figure stirred. Towering over five thousand meters, it looked like a gray Mountain Giant with three pairs of enormous eyes. Its buzzing, cavernous voice shook the hall.

"Not bad. To see through Insect Xiao and know he is the strongest here proves your strength is not ordinary either." The giant's gaze swept over Chen Chu before it continued. "I am Boroedo, one of the three rulers of the Heavy Mountain Plane. Greetings, new world-lord."

With the Mountain Giant's polite introduction, Chen Chu inclined his head, and replied, "Greetings, Lord Boroedo. I come from..."

Chen Chu hesitated before he could finish. He wasn't sure if he said the world he came from they would know.

The mythical world. The vast world. Humanity called it home, though it went by many names. The Ancient Civilization and the colossal beasts had their own terms for it, but no one knew what it was actually called.

Then, out of nowhere, a name surfaced in Chen Chu's mind, and he continued. "I come from the world of Griffith. I am Chu Batian, one of the Chief Councilors of the Sacred Alliance."

As soon as the words left his mouth, he paused.Griffith...Was this the true name of the mythical world? Or was it the name of the eternal-level colossal beast that slept beneath it?

Before he could think further, shock ripped through the hall. Five Hell Apostles, including Boroedo and the smoke-shrouded figure, reacted at once, their composure breaking.

"Griffith the legendary Great Eternal Supreme World!"

"What? The Great Eternal Supreme World?"

The uproar was so great that more than a dozen Apostles lost control of their auras.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Floods of power erupted, bending spacetime. Principles clashed and filled the blood-red palace. The pressure was so immense it forced the countless Hell Devils outside to their knees.

Chen Chu was left stunned. So the mythical world is famous across other planes and spacetimes?

Chen Chu turned to the Mountain Giant. "What is it, Lord Boroedo? Have you all heard of the world I come from?"

Whoooosh!

The giant exhaled, and the force of its breath spun into tornadoes that tore through the palace air. Its three pairs of eyes, cold and narrow, still held a trace of awe. "Of course. Among the countless worlds and planes, your world is known as the Eternal World. Legends say that millions of years ago, the Griffith Eternal World clashed with another supreme Eternal World. Their war shattered vast stretches of chaos itself.

"I first heard those stories over a hundred thousand years ago, but I never once saw or met anyone from Griffith. I never thought that I would find one of its Apostles here, in Lord Alvaron's Scarlet Hell..."

As Boroedo spoke, its eyes gleamed, studying Chen Chu as though it wanted to uncover some hidden trait in Chen Chu's bloodlit figure. The other Hell Apostles joined in, their eyes filled with curiosity, calculation, and in some cases, greed.

Fools courting death.Chen Chu's cold eyes swept over those who dared show malice. When their composure broke earlier and their auras spilled out, he had already gauged their strength. Each one stood at least in the middle stage of the true spirit level.

The strongest was Insect Xiao, who had already stepped into the semi-primordial level. With the strange and unknown power it commanded, it was no wonder Chen Chu had felt danger from it.
