Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1002: The Five-Colored True Spirit, Clash Between Empires (I)

The setting sun's afterglow cast the entire world in a dusky blue hue. Above the forest formed by countless towering ancient trees, more than a hundred enormous floating cities, each spanning tens to hundreds of kilometers in diameter, hovered silently.

Misty clouds drifted among these cities. Countless Faeries, dressed in ancient-style garments, stood solemnly, all gazing toward the front of the formation.

High in the sky ahead, azure faerie qi surged like an ocean. Over a dozen figures stood amid swirling auras of white, azure, and purple immortality, resembling celestial deities from ancient legends. Among them were Heavenly King Youming, as well as more than ten Faerie Lords and Faerie Kings.

Everyone wore a grave expression as they looked toward Chen Chu's location. Even separated by more than a hundred thousand kilometers, the shockwaves from the earlier explosion had still shaken their minds.

That power had been overwhelming, akin to a self-detonation by a Faerie King, and the pressure it released lingered heavily across the world, refusing to dissipate.

Youming said with concern, "That region is already close to our Expansion Division's territory, deep in the rear. How could such a powerful battle erupt there?"

Beside him, a handsome middle-aged man pondered, "The allied nobles of the three races have gathered strength comparable to our peak era. With that level of power, even under siege from three or four Purgatory Empires, they should be able to hold out for quite some time. The situation shouldn't have changed so drastically so soon. The aura we sensed earlier was domineering, different from the darkness of the Purgatory Demon Clan. Most likely, it was a clash between two wandering ancient creatures."

"You speak reasonably, Brother Xiankuang." Youming nodded slightly.

While the two were conversing, three beams of light suddenly descended above the crowd and transformed into three figures, each radiating a terrifying ancient-titan-level pressure.

Instantly, everyone straightened and saluted with solemn respect. "Greetings, Faerie Kings."

Among the three, the elderly man with completely white hair gave a slight nod and slowly said, "The transcendent energy fluctuations ahead have subsided. Only a faint aura remains. One party has already withdrawn. This place is near human territory, and both flanks are riddled with forbidden zones. A detour is clearly impossible. I will proceed with Yintian and the others to investigate first. Lead the legions behind us and follow slowly. If you sense a battle erupting ahead, halt immediately."

Although the battle ahead had seemingly ended, the three Faerie Kings remained cautious. With the enemy's identity unknown, they dared not act carelessly. Moreover, with their combined cultivation, they could suppress any ancient being lingering nearby, deterring it from attacking the formation.

With those instructions given, the white-haired elder, along with the middle-aged man holding a pagoda and the white-robed youth carrying a longsword on his back, turned into streaks of light and vanished instantly.

As the three Faerie Kings departed, the fourteen Faerie Lords standing amid the azure sea of clouds hesitated briefly before also turning into rays of light and descending into the various floating cities.

Soon, the massive cluster of airborne cities roared to life, rumbling forward with shockwaves like mountains crashing and seas roaring.

A journey of over a hundred thousand kilometers was but a short span for the three powerful Faerie Kings. In no time, they arrived above a colossal sinkhole over ten thousand kilometers in diameter. The three concealed themselves within spatial rifts, their auras completely hidden and undetectable.

However, before they could search the area or trace the lingering aura, a low, calm voice resonated through the heavens and earth. "You, who are you?"

Space distorted in the distance as Chen Chu appeared out of thin air, black hair flowing past his shoulders. He stood on air, eyes calm as he looked toward the dimensional rift concealing the three. All things faded under his golden-black vertical pupils. Nothing could escape his gaze, not even those merged into space through principle power.

"Respected human powerhouse, please don't misunderstand us. We had no intention of spying." As an ancient voice rang out, the three Faerie Kings emerged from the dimensional rift and looked toward the young man in the distance, their eyes filled with a mixture of astonishment and caution.

They were surprised by the aura emanating from him. It appeared to be at the beginning stage of the ancient titan level, yet their cautiousness stemmed from the invisible pressure he exuded, one that even made them feel threatened. Clearly, his strength far surpassed what his cultivation realm would suggest.

Their exchange was carried out with divine soul and will, allowing communication despite differing languages.

Facing the unfamiliar trio of ancient powerhouses, Chen Chu calmly said, "It seems you three recognize my race. May I know your names?"

The three Faerie Kings immediately smiled. The middle-aged man holding a pagoda smiled and replied, "It truly is a human supreme powerhouse. We are Faerie Kings, invited by your noble Heavenly King Youming to form an alliance. When ancient-titan-level battle fluctuations erupted here, we came ahead to investigate. The main force is still behind us."

The Faerie Race.Even Chen Chu couldn't help pausing at that. Then a warm smile spread across his face. "I didn't expect it to be the renowned Faerie Kings. It's an honor to receive you from so far away. I am the human race's fourth supreme powerhouse, having only recently ascended. I bear the title Divine Might. May I ask your names?"

He naturally knew of Heavenly King Youming's mission to the Faeries. He simply hadn't expected them to truly succeed in winning over this alien race. With the main force following behind, once this power joined the human alliance, their collective strength would surge.

The white-haired elder stroked his beard with a sigh. "Your Excellency Divine Might, you flatter us. We are but a defeated remnant race, not worth mentioning. This time, we merely hope to unite our strength to resist the Purgatory Clan. My title is Xuntian."

He then gestured to the middle-aged man holding the pagoda. "This is Faerie King Yintian, and that is Faerie King Xuantian."

"An honor to meet you both." Chen Chu gave a slight nod in greeting.

"You're too polite." The two Faerie Kings returned the gesture.

The smiles on all four faces grew warmer. Chen Chu was pleased to see another wave of reinforcements arrive, adding much-needed strength for the coming great war.

Among the three Faerie Kings, the white-haired elder was the strongest. His aura faintly indicated he had reached the peak of the ancient titan level. The other two were in the late and middle stages respectively. Overall, their combined strength was a full level above the three divine kings of the Heavenly Feathered Race.

Likewise, the three Faerie Kings were also feeling quite elated. Unexpectedly, this newly advanced human supreme powerhouse was already so powerful that even Xuntian felt a trace of dread. Then what about the three veteran powerhouses Youming had spoken of?

There was also the Alliance of Gods, as well as the powerhouses of the Heavenly Feathered Race, who had been at war with the Purgatory Empires for many years. At that thought, all three divine kings grew increasingly confident in the alliance they were about to join.

Although the sides had revealed their identities and avoided any conflict, complete trust wouldn't be established so easily. After their initial greetings, the four of them stood above the vast sky, exchanging a few casual words as they quietly waited for the arrival of the rear formation. Chen Chu needed to meet with Heavenly King Youming to confirm his identity, and the three Faerie Kings shared the same intent.

An hour passed as they waited. From behind, the massive formation of floating cities surged across the sky, casting vast shadows. When the Faerie army was still over a thousand kilometers away, more than a dozen streaks of light leapt through the heavens, appearing behind the three Faerie Kings. All of them fixed their gazes on the black-haired youth standing in the air.

Youming in particular froze, somewhat uncertain. "You are Chen... Chu?"

He was deeply familiar with the young man before him. After all, he had personally witnessed Chen Chu walk the path to divinity. What left him dumbfounded was the faint yet distinct aura emanating from Chen Chu's body.A supreme powerhouse? Impossible!

Chen Chu smiled gently. "Heavenly King Youming, welcome back. The journey must've been exhausting."

Youming shook his head slightly, his expression dazed. "This diplomatic mission wasn't all that arduous. It's just... Chen Chu, what happened to your cultivation?"

Even now, he could hardly wrap his mind around it. In just over half a year, the Chen Chu who once had only reached the Seventh Heavenly Realm had somehow become a supreme powerhouse. For once, even Heavenly King Youming couldn't help silently grumbling,Isn't that a little too outrageous?

Chen Chu, aware of what he was thinking, smiled faintly. "After you left, many great events unfolded. And with each major battle, my cultivation broke through its limits..."

He gave a brief summary of what had transpired since Youming's departure. The outbreak of the war at the Abyssal Battlefield, the fall of the primordial colossal beast, the cataclysmic upheaval of the heavens and earth, the great war at the Sky Battlefield, and the expedition to the Heavenly Feathered Race...

He also mentioned the battle in the forbidden zone involving the three allied forces, the slaying of four demon gods, and other conflicts. He also casually outlined the leaps in his own strength. After every war ended, his cultivation surged. After a few such battles, he had broken through to the supreme level.

By the time Chen Chu finished speaking, Youming was so stunned he no longer knew what to say. A strange feeling welled up in his chest, as if the world had abruptly changed while he was away.

He had only left for a diplomatic mission to the Faeries, yet in that short span, the human race had suddenly expanded its strength and now openly fielded eleven supreme powerhouses and divine kings. They had even truly formed an alliance with the Heavenly Feathered Race.

That alone would have been astonishing, but the young genius who had only just begun to shine back then had now, in the blink of an eye, become the backbone of the alliance. His strength had grown so immense that even Youming had to look up to him.

While Youming was reeling, the three Faerie Kings and fourteen Faerie Lords were all visibly invigorated. The information from Chen Chu gave them genuine hope of defeating the Purgatory Demon Clan.

Youming sighed emotionally. "I didn't expect so much to happen in just half a year of my absence."

"Indeed, much has changed." Chen Chu nodded.

Then, turning to the three Faerie Kings, he apologetically said, "All of you have traveled a long way. I should've personally escorted you to the alliance. However, I still have important matters to attend to. I must make a trip deep into the mythical world, so I'll have to trouble Youming to lead you the rest of the way. I hope you understand."

With Youming vouching for them and the Insightful Eye confirming there was no issue, Chen Chu was ready to deal with the Giant God Gai. Now that he had broken through to the supreme level, it was time to settle the grudge with the Demon Cult Alliance once and for all.

The three Faerie Kings paused briefly, then smiled. "...There's no need to be so polite, Your Excellency."

Now that they had learned from Chen Chu that the human alliance currently held the upper hand, the Faerie Kings and Faerie Lords felt at ease, as well as Youming.

After their final exchanges, Chen Chu vanished into the distance, and the massive fleet of floating cities rumbled once more, flying toward the Expansion Division.

Meanwhile, as Chen Chu set off to handle Gai, the colossal beast army that had just flown a million kilometers out of the chaotic wildlands gradually came to a halt.
