Chapter 2614: The Final Madness (3)

Yun Lintian's eyes widened as he realized what Yao Huang was doing. Clearly, Yao Huang wanted to detonate himself!

The power of a Primordial God's self-destruction was unimaginable. If Yao Huang succeeded, the explosion would not only obliterate Yun Lintian but could potentially unravel the fabric of the universe. There was no time to waste.

"SEAL!" Yun Lintian roared, slamming his hands together. The power of the Primordial Sun God surged through him, intertwining with the divine energy of the God of Mountain and the God of River. Golden runes materialized in the air, forming a complex, intricate pattern that spread outward like a net.

The Heavenhold Formation, a pinnacle sealing technique, was designed to contain even the most destructive forces. Yun Lintian poured every ounce of his energy into the formation, the golden runes glowing brighter with each passing moment. The formation expanded rapidly, encircling Yao Huang and the swirling vortex of darkness.

"YOU THINK THIS CAN STOP ME?!" Yao Huang bellowed, his voice distorted by the chaotic energy surging through him. He swung his claws at the golden runes, the dark energy colliding with the formation in a series of deafening explosions.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Heavenhold Formation trembled under the force of Yao Huang's attacks, but it held firm. Yun Lintian gritted his teeth, his body trembling as he channeled more energy into the formation. Blood trickled from his nose and ears, the strain of maintaining the formation pushing him to his limits.

"Yao Huang, stop this madness!" Yun Lintian shouted, his voice strained but resolute. "You don't have to do this!"

"STOP?!" Yao Huang laughed, his voice filled with bitter irony. "IT'S TOO LATE FOR THAT! I'VE GONE TOO FAR! THERE'S NO TURNING BACK!"

The vortex of darkness around Yao Huang intensified, the sheer force of it threatening to tear through the Heavenhold Formation. The golden runes flickered, cracks beginning to form in the intricate pattern.

Yun Lintian's heart raced. He couldn't let the formation fail. If it did, the consequences would be catastrophic. He took a deep breath, his mind racing for a solution. Then, it hit him.

"Get down!" Yun Lintian roared, raising his hands to the sky. The power of the Primordial Sun God surged through him, his body radiating an intense golden light. The light coalesced into a massive, radiant sun that hovered above the Heavenhold Formation.

The sun descended, its light piercing through the swirling vortex of darkness. The dark energy around Yao Huang began to dissipate, the corrosive power of the God of Darkness being forcibly suppressed by the overwhelming brilliance of the Primordial Sun God.

"YOU! STOP IT!" Yao Huang screamed, his voice filled with desperation and rage. He thrashed against the golden light, his claws slashing at the air in a futile attempt to break free. But the light was relentless, its power unyielding.

The vortex of darkness began to shrink, the chaotic energy being absorbed by the radiant sun. The Heavenhold Formation stabilized, the golden runes glowing brighter than ever. Yao Huang's demonic form began to crumble, the obsidian skin peeling away to reveal the man beneath.

CRACKLE!

Yao Huang's body finally gave way under the tremendous pressure. His chest caved in, his bones shattered, his flesh tearing apart under the sheer force of Yun Lintian's suppression. "No... this cannot be..." Yao Huang gasped, his voice a broken whisper, his eyes wide with disbelief and despair. He had gambled everything, sacrificed everything, and yet... he was still losing.

Yun Lintian panted heavily, his body trembling from the strain of maintaining the Heavenhold Formation and suppressing Yao Huang's self-destruction. Blood dripped from his wounds, his golden flames flickering weakly, but his resolve remained unshaken. He stepped forward, his eyes locked on Yao Huang's crumbling form.

"Yao Huang," Yun Lintian said, his voice calm. "This didn't have to happen. You didn't have to join Fan Shen. We could have fought against him together. We could have been allies, even friends."

Yao Huang coughed, blood spilling from his lips as his body continued to disintegrate. His once towering, demonic form was now reduced to a broken, bleeding figure, barely holding itself together. He looked up at Yun Lintian, his eyes filled with a mixture of pain and bitter

amusement.

"Friends?" Yao Huang laughed, a hollow, broken sound that echoed through the void. "You really don't understand, do you, Yun Lintian? This world... this universe... it's not a place for friendship or alliances. It's a place where the strong devour the weak. The smaller fish will always be eaten. That's the way of the world. That's the truth you refuse to accept."

Yun Lintian shook his head, his expression firm. "You're wrong, Yao Huang. The world doesn't have to be that way. We can choose to be better. We can choose to protect, not destroy."

Yao Huang's laughter turned into a bitter sneer. "Naive. So naive. Do you think I didn't try? Do you think I didn't want to believe in something better? But the truth is, this world doesn't allow it. The Primordial Gods' legacies... they're not meant to coexist. They're meant to be consolidated. Either you, Fan Shen, or the Lord of Chaos will eventually gather all the legacies and become the new Creator."

"The rest of us... we're just stepping stones. If I don't struggle, if I don't fight, I'll lose my power. I'll die. That's the fate of those who inherit the Primordial Gods' legacies. You should know that better than anyone."

Yun Lintian's eyes softened as he listened to Yao Huang's words. He could hear the pain, the desperation, the years of struggle and suffering that had driven Yao Huang to this point. He took a step closer, his voice gentle but firm.

"I don't want to become the new Creator. I never did. I only took on these legacies to protect the people I care about, to protect this world. And even if you lose your power, you don't have to die. You can still live. You can still find a new purpose, a new path. You don't have to be consumed by this endless cycle of destruction."

Yao Huang's eyes flickered with something-doubt, perhaps, or regret. But it was quickly replaced by a bitter resolve. "You think it's that simple? You think I can just walk away from this? From who I am? From what I've become? No, Yun Lintian. This is who I am. This is what

I've chosen. And if I can't win, then I'll die on my own terms."

Yun Lintian sighed as he watched Yao Huang's body continue to crumble...
