Chapter 2591: Bright Light From The Void

The moonlight descended like a celestial veil, washing over the abyss with an ethereal glow. It was a light that seemed to defy the darkness, piercing through the oppressive void with ease. The moment it touched the ground, the dark energy of Mo Han and Mo Qian was instantly repelled, their attacks on the World Tree disrupted as if they had struck an invisible barrier.

Yao Huang, still locked in his battle with Ning Yue, felt the shift in the atmosphere. His eyes flicked toward the source of the moonlight, narrowing as a figure emerged from the radiant glow. It was a woman, her presence as serene as the moon itself, yet radiating an overwhelming power that even he could not ignore.

She was dressed in flowing robes of blue and white, her long hair cascading like a waterfall of moonlight. Her eyes, cold and piercing, seemed to hold the vastness of the night sky within them. She stepped forward, her every movement exuding an air of grace and authority.

"How shameless you are." Her voice was calm, yet it carried a weight that reverberated through the abyss, shaking the very fabric of the void.

Mo Han and Mo Qian, who had been momentarily stunned by the sudden appearance of the moonlight, quickly regained their composure. They turned their attention to the newcomer, their dark energy flaring as they prepared to attack.

"Who are you?" Mo Han demanded.

The woman, Yue Yun, did not respond. Instead, she raised her hand, and a beam of moonlight shot forward, striking Mo Han with blinding speed. The attack was so fast that he didn't even have time to react.

Bang!

The beam struck Mo Han squarely in the chest, sending him flying backward with a force that shattered the ground beneath him.

Mo Qian, seeing his comrade struck down, roared in anger. He lunged toward the woman, his dark energy surging as he prepared to unleash a devastating attack. But before he could even get close, the woman flicked her wrist, and a wave of moonlight swept over him. The wave was like a tidal force, washing away his dark energy and sending him crashing to the ground.

Yao Huang's eyes widened in shock. He had not expected this. The woman's power was unlike anything he had ever seen. It was pure, unyielding, and carried the essence of the moon itself. He could feel the pressure of her aura, a force that rivaled even his own.

"Are you the ancestor of the Divine Moon Clan?" Yao Huang asked coldly. "No, that's not right. You are too young."

Yue Yun turned her gaze toward him, her cold eyes locking onto his.

"I am Yue Yun," she said, her voice calm but carrying an undeniable authority. "And you, Yao Huang, are nothing but a coward who hides in the shadows, attacking those who cannot defend themselves."

Yao Huang's expression darkened. "Do you think you can make a change here?"

Yue Yun's lips curled into a faint, mocking smile. "Your darkness is nothing but a fleeting shadow in front of me."

With a swift motion, she raised her hand, and a massive orb of moonlight materialized above her. The orb pulsed with energy, its light so intense that it pushed back the darkness around Yao Huang. The abyss, once consumed by shadows, was now illuminated by the radiant glow of the moon.

Yao Huang, feeling the pressure of Yue Yun's power, knew he had to act quickly. He raised his hand, and the dark vortex surged forward, aiming to consume the orb of moonlight. But as the darkness collided with the light, it was instantly repelled. The moonlight was too pure, too powerful, for the darkness to overcome.

"Come on. Aren't you very powerful?" Yue Yun said mockingly.

She flicked her wrist, and the orb of moonlight shot forward, heading straight for Yao Huang. The orb moved with incredible speed, its light piercing through the darkness like a blade. Yao Huang, realizing the danger, quickly raised a barrier of darkness to block the attack.

BOOM!

The orb struck the barrier, and for a moment, it seemed as though the darkness would hold. But then, the light began to spread, its energy seeping through the cracks in the barrier. The barrier trembled, the cracks growing larger, until it finally shattered under the force of the moonlight.

Yao Huang was thrown back, his body skidding across the ground. He quickly regained his footing, his expression one of shock and disbelief. He had not expected Yue Yun's power to be so overwhelming.

"Impossible," he muttered, his voice filled with disbelief. "How can you rival the power of the Primordial God?"

Yue Yun's expression remained calm. "The Primordial God is indeed formidable, but you are not. You don't have the qualifications to inherit his legacy, no matter how much you want it."

She raised her hand once more, and another orb of moonlight materialized above her. This time, the orb was even larger, its light even more intense.

Yao Huang reacted quickly. He raised his hand, and the darkness around him surged once more. This time, the darkness took on a more sinister form, swirling and condensing into a massive, shadowy dragon. The dragon roared, its voice shaking the abyss, and lunged toward Yue Yun.

Yue Yun's expression remained calm. She raised her hand, and the orb of moonlight shot forward, heading straight for the shadowy dragon. The two forces collided in mid-air, their energy clashing with a deafening roar. Read latest chapters at empire

BOOM!

The collision sent shockwaves rippling through the abyss. Countless spatial rifts appeared, as if the entire world was on the verge to fall apart.

The shadowy dragon roared in agony as the moonlight began to consume it, its form dissipating into tendrils of black smoke.

"Cough!" Yao Huang spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his face turning pale.

"My lord!" Mo Qian and Mo Han quickly arrived by Yao Huang's side and channeled their power, trying to stabilize his injuries.

"We must retreat," Yao Huang spoke through a voice transmission.

Mo Qian and Mo Han didn't hesitate. They quickly grabbed Yao Huang and soared into the darkness above, trying to escape.

"Did I let you go?" Yue Yun uttered coldly.

She raised her hand, and the moonlight orb quickly rushed towards the three before transforming into a curtain of moonlight, blocking their way forward.

Mo Han and Mo Qian tried to break through, but it was futile.

"Since you are here, let's stay here forever," Yue Yun said coldly, the murderous intent in her eyes intensifying.

Just as she was about to make a further move, Yue Yun's expression suddenly changed as she looked at the void above.

At this moment, a bright white light suddenly flashed and slammed onto the curtain of moonlight.

BANG!
