'Ahh...Holy Smokes...F**k boss, I'm done.'

Arvian felt the atmosphere change as the air became heavier and harder to breathe.

He wanted to check his status again, but there was no time.

The air soon became unbearably heavy, and suddenly a dense and swirling smog enveloped the whole area, shrouding everything in an impenetrable mist.

His chest tightened, his heartbeat sounding in his ears.

Grasping his blade with both hands, Arvian planted his feet firmly. As he looked the fog, his breathing slowed, but the smog was too dense to see.

Then, from behind him, a sudden, sharp sound cut through the stifling quiet.

Instinctively he turned, his blade up, but the fog cleared as fast as it had appeared.

In the fading fog, a huge figure appeared. It was a huge, hideous creature, with thick, leathery skin covering its bloated body.

In its massive hands, the creature held a gigantic hammer that was already held high above its head, and its round face twisted into a menacing snarl.

Arvian's breath stopped for a moment as he locked eyes with the beast.

'Is this boss'

The monster hammer came down slowly but relentlessly, its enormous shadow swallowing Arvian.

"Wasted."

Arvian thought it was over, but his adrenaline and undeniable excitement refused to let him give up.

He threw himself to the side, desperately attempting to dodge. The hammer missed his head but crushed his injured left arm.

"AAAAHHHH!"

Arvian let out a scream, his eyes welling up with tears from the agonizing pain.

Blood poured from the wound, staining the ground, and he clutched his arm in a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding.

He breathed raggedly with grasp and stumbled backward, trying to stay as far as he could from the monster.

The ground shook with every step as the monster walked, burdened by its enormous body and the weight of its enormous hammer, moved slowly.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it! Wha...!" Arvian's mind raced.

Even though his lungs burned from the exhaustion of his sprint, he knew there was no hope. The only way out of this monster's territory was to defeat the boss before he could do so.

"Agh-ahhh!! I ca...nt take itt...."

Breathless and shaking, he eventually halted his run and faced the boss. His jaw tightened and his eyes narrowed.

Suddenly, a system panel flashed before his eyes.

[Hint: The core of the Harrowing Boss is in its back neck point. If it is cut, even slightly, it will die.]

Arvian's heart beat increased as he read the. "Damm....how how am I supposed to even kill it with this painn."

[Time left: 8:18 minutes]

"Damn it, t-there's... no way," Arvian mumbled with his uncontrollable tears falling.

The footsteps of the monster echoed through the ground like a countdown to disaster as it lumbered closer.

'How do I kill it... Hurry... Damn it... THINK!' Arvian's mind raced.

The monster stopped, its rumbling roar filling the air with its foul breath.

Arvian clenched his jaw, releasing his hand as he slid the blade into his pants and his grip relaxed.

Time was running out. He was directly in the path of the enormous hammer as it arced through the air.

Rather than running or avoiding outright danger, Arvian remained steadfast, his body stiff as a spring and his mind focused on a single, desperate gamble.

As the hammer drew closer, he ducked just in time to jump onto the hammer, using its surface as a platform.

As he attempted to run toward the beast's arm, his feet fumbled for stability.

"I hope this wor—"

Before he could finish his thought, the boss let out another guttural growl and swung the hammer with full force.

With a sickening thud, Arvian crashed into a wide tree trunk after being propelled through the air like a rag doll by sheer momentum.

He crumpled to the ground, his breath taken away by the pain shooting through his back. For an instant, the only sounds he could hear were the distant snarls of the beast and the ringing in his ears.

Arvian's left arm was in excruciating pain, but he forced himself to stand by gritting his teeth. Even though his vision was a little fuzzy and his breathing was labored, he resisted giving up.

He held the blade firmly in his right hand and prepared.

Now furious, the monster was swifter than ever, its rumbling roars resonating through the atmosphere as it roared toward him, the ground trembling with every step.

Arvian looked back at the wide trunk of a tree. Adrenaline rushed through his veins like fire as he thoughtlessly pushed his aching body to its breaking point.

With all of his strength, he ran toward the tree, his legs yelling in defiance.

As he reached the base, he planted one foot against the trunk and propelled himself upward.

Using the momentum, he kicked off again with his other foot and launched himself higher.

With one last jolt of energy, he jumped for the closest branch and grasped it with one hand.

He remained steadfast, swinging his legs up and locking them around the wood to stabilize himself as the branch shook under his weight.

Below, the monstrous creature roared in frustration, slamming its hammer into the ground as it lost sight of him momentarily.

With a determined plan in his mind, Arvian narrowed his eyes and steadied his breathing.

Arvian walked carefully along the branch. He stopped when he got to the proper location, holding the blade firmly in his right hand.

Taking a deep breath, he roared, assembling all his courage, and jumped off the branch. As he went down, the monster's massive form approached, and the wind roared in his ears.

With a heavy thud, he fell onto the monster's back, his knees almost giving way under the force.

He did not waste any time in driving the blade into the monster's neck's weak point.

With its enormous body trembling, the monster roared in agony. For a second, Arvian believed he had—

But then the monster's instincts took over, and its eyes blazed with anger. Its massive hand shot toward its neck more quickly than he had expected.

The hand slammed into Arvian's bone before he could react, sending him flying through the air like a rag doll.

With a sickening thud, he hit the ground, his entire body exploding with pain.

His world spun around him, and his vision became blurry. As his consciousness started to wane, blood poured from his head and gathered beneath him.

"So... this is it... it is over... huh," he thought feebly, losing his sense of reality as darkness encroached.
