Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 108: Beasts in the Sky

While Kyrian was missing, the Verdant Sword Sect continued its rhythm.

On that morning, Feng Yuan walked with firm steps through the central area. His goal was simple, to find his disciple Kyrian and discuss the latest events.

However, upon arriving at the young man's courtyard, he found only Yanyu, sitting on the railing, arms crossed and with an exasperated expression.

"Where is Kyrian?" Feng Yuan asked directly, raising his eyebrow.

Yanyu immediately bowed deeply and greeted the leader, then replied while sighing.

"I also wanted to know where he is. He left in a hurry, without saying anything, just took one of the flying beasts and departed."

"Without warning anyone?" Feng Yuan's tone grew slightly more severe.

She shook her head.

"Exactly. I only found out from the inner disciples. They also said they saw him heading south."

Feng Yuan furrowed his brow. Silently, he recalled what Kyrian had mentioned days before. The mark on his hand, the call of the natural formation.

For the boy to leave so hurriedly, without even speaking to anyone or going on a mission, something must have happened.

Without saying anything more to Yanyu, Feng Yuan bid farewell with a light wave and walked away.

He walked calmly, as if reflecting with each step, until, after a few minutes, he opened the door of a room illuminated by the soft morning light.

There, Long Xue stood before a polished bronze mirror, chuckling softly as she adjusted a strand of her purple hair.

Mo Xia remained beside her, smiling just as naturally. In recent days, Feng Yuan had arranged meetings between Long Xue and the core disciples, trying to rekindle any lost memories.

But nothing had surfaced. She hadn't recognized any of them, not even the closest ones, but at least, at least with Mo Xia, she had formed a certain immediate affinity.

When Feng Yuan entered, Long Xue turned quickly, but upon noticing it wasn't Kyrian, her bright expression faded, giving way to a shadow of disappointment.

Mo Xia bowed slightly and asked.

"Did you find him?"

"No. Kyrian has temporarily left the sect. He departed toward the south. He may take a while to return." Feng Yuan replied firmly.

Long Xue's eyes lost some of their brightness, but then, as if wanting to hide her sadness, she forced a faint smile.

"When he returns… can you tell him to come here?" she asked in a low tone.

"I will." Feng Yuan nodded.

Mo Xia sighed, understanding. Long Xue, without memories, gravitated around Kyrian for some reason.

Feng Yuan then left the room, leaving the two alone, having other priorities.

Another day passed while Kyrian remained on the eagle.

The wind howled against his face, but his body was already accustomed. What drew his attention was not the sky or the rhythm of the flight, but the irregularities he had begun to feel in his eyes.

Some time earlier…

After breaking through to the Qi Liberation Realm, while seated on the beast, a thought surfaced in Kyrian's mind.

'What would happen if he switched the ocular pair now?'

At that instant, his consciousness plunged into the dark space within him. The three presences pulsed in the darkness, connected to him as if they had always been part of his existence.

Kyrian extended his mind toward the crystal of Ice Intent.

The change was immediate.

His green eyes vanished. They were replaced by a sky-blue. At the center, the irises in the shape of swords became snowflakes in constant slow rotation.

At the same moment this happened, all the sharp Qi that dominated his dantians transformed. In seconds, every particle became Icy Qi.

And along with the change, as before, new information surged in his mind. An ability. Not something learned, but something innate, forced into him by his eyes.

Kyrian clenched his fists, taking a deep breath.

'This way… my method of using Qi has been transformed into something completely different,' Kyrian thought.

Without hesitation, he returned his mind to the darkness and touched the Blood Crystal.

The transformation was even more brutal. The blue faded like melting snow. In its place, a crimson color took over his eyes. A deep and unsettling hue.

The pupil turned red, while the iris vanished, swallowed by the intensity of the glow.

Again, in seconds, all the Qi in his dantians transformed.

The Icy Qi vanished. Now it was dense, heavy, like a raging river of blood. And yet, it still exuded a faint vital energy.

And once again, an ability was born in his mind.

The weight of this revelation made Kyrian let out a long sigh.

'This really makes no sense…'

His eyes went against all the rules he knew. Against everything he had learned about cultivation and the Qi Liberation Realm.

Each switch immediately altered all his Qi, transforming it into the best form for him to use his newly acquired abilities upon breaking through.

Kyrian then returned to the Sword Eyes, letting out a long sigh, accepting that change. After all, not even he understood his power at the moment. But he would test it soon.

The silence of the dawn accompanied him when he noticed something different.

The sky above was no longer the same, the land below no longer familiar. The map of the Verdant Domain appeared in his mind.

He had already left the Verdant Sword Sect's domain. Now he flew over lands he did not know, a new domain.

He narrowed his eyes. The once empty horizon suddenly began to fill with scattered figures.

Huge birds, flying beasts, many cultivators crossing the skies with their beasts at high speed.

First, it was one or two in his vision, then dozens. All heading in the same direction.

Kyrian furrowed his brows.

"What is happening?"

The eagle gave a low roar, sensing the presence of so many intruders in the air. Kyrian kept it calm, observing until one of the beasts stood out.

A gigantic vulture flew not far away. Supported by four young people and an old man standing on its back.

Kyrian gave a command to the eagle.

It responded immediately, tilting in the air and cutting the distance to the vulture. Kyrian decided to ask for information before stepping into something he did not understand.
