My Wives Are A Divine Hive Mind

Chapter 143: Newcomer To The Family

The portal near Yoiglah's hallowed sanctuary piece pulsed one final time, its liquid mercury edges shimmering under Vaingall's stable, starlit skies.

Kivas Chariot emerged first, her silver-yellow hair catching the faint breeze, her white dress rippling as if still touched by the color sea's currents.

Her halo glowed softly, casting golden hues across the grass, grounding her presence in the familiar stability of her divine domain.

Behind her stepped a new figure to this world—Fymnhendyr, now an Exo Human, her burnt sienna skin glowing faintly under the light that Kivas cast, and her skimpy black fabric outfit barely covering her form definitely made an impression to those who saw it.

The air crackled faintly as the portal's energy waned, its Eulanite runes dimming, but the faint whisper of void essence lingered, a reminder of the chaotic realm they had left behind.

Samael still stood nearby, her red-black hair swaying, wings half-unfurled in a stance of readiness, her draconic eyes narrowing as she took in the newcomer.

The group's attention snapped to Fymnhendyr, whose presence radiated an odd mix of mortal fragility and cosmic confidence, her prismatic gold eyes—now tinged with curiosity—meeting Samael's gaze.

Samael's lips curled into a deadpan smirk, her voice dripping with teasing sarcasm. "Five minutes, Kivas. You dive into a portal for five minutes and come back with a new partner? Didn't think you'd cheat on me and Oizys that fast." Her eyes flicked to Fymnhendyr's chest, where a faint pulse of light betrayed the presence of a Genesis Core, still maturing within her. "Another Divine Hive in the making, huh?"

Kivas pretended as if her cheeks flushed, her halo flickering as she waved off the tease with a huff. "Oh, hush, Sammy my dear. It wasn't five minutes in there—it felt like an hour, maybe more." Her brow furrowed, curiosity overtaking her acting. "Time dilation, huh? Either those colors must've warped my perception. Or there was a time dilation between Vaingall and that place." She shook her head, snapping back to urgency. "Anyway, we need to close the portal. Now. Something massive—eldritch, incomprehensible—might come through if we leave it open. It was chasing us like a hungry lion after all."

Samael and Sarkha'una exchanged a glance, the latter already moving toward the rune formation.

Samael's wings twitched, her voice sharp. "You heard her. Let's shut it down before we get a cosmic nightmare knocking."

"You saw me already moving to do it, Endless One, you're the one who hasn't moved her fingers."

"I'm trying to cast a spell to prevent anything from coming outside while you're closing it, you already knew that and yet you still comment either way."

At some point, Kivas was surprised how close both Samael and Sarkha'una could be when they were working together and began bantering.

In a way, she felt rather jealous now that Samael did that to someone other than Kivas.

Kivas then felt like that was a dumb thing to think about, especially since she was the one who was against Samael's wish of taking in a Soulmate other than her into Vaingall.

In a way, Kivas wondered if her relationship with her Soulmates would strain her relationship with Samael in a way, the very person who supported her from the first day of her journey on this god-forsaken world.

"You seem to be jealous," Fymnhendyr hushed.

"Don't insinuate a thing, Samael would definitely hear that," Kivas replied through a forced telepathy.

"You seem to be jealous, my dear cutiepie," Samael flirted right after. "You hear that, witch, don't talk to me for an entire day or until my sweetheart allows you."

Sarkha'una could only sigh at their antics. "You and your high-maintenance wife, Endless One."

"You seemed to forget that you're my champion, not Samael's," Kivas smiled with a hint of irritation.

Sarkha'una's glyphic spine pulsed as she traced the Eulanite runes, reversing their flow.

The portal's glow collapsed inward, its mercury edges hardening into inert stone, the void essence silenced. The plain fell quiet, save for the rustle of mythic grass under Vaingall's gentle winds.

Kivas cleared her throat, stepping forward to diffuse the tension. "Right. Everyone, this is Fymnhendyr—my… new Soulmate, I suppose. She'll be living in Vaingall from now on, helping us develop our domain." Her voice carried a mix of pride and uncertainty, her wry smile returning as she glanced at Fymnhendyr, who stood poised, her antler-like horns catching the attention more the fact that she was almost naked. "Please don't mind her current get-up, since she had no choice to appear as such back there."

Fymnhendyr bowed slightly, her smile warm yet teasing, her voice a melodic echo of her former crystalline resonance. "A pleasure to meet all of you precious individuals~ I'm Fymnhendyr, once a weaver of realities, now a humble servant of fate and passion to my current owner." Her eyes locked onto Samael's, a playful glint sparking. "Rest assured, I'll shower our Celestial Avatar with affection and service—perhaps more than you're exposed to before me~"

Samael's jaw tightened, veins visibly pulsing at her temple as she gripped her fists, restraining herself. "Keep talking, newbie, and I'll test how 'humble' that new body is."

Her wings flared, a low growl escaping her throat, but Kivas stepped between them, raising a hand.

"Easy, Sammy," Kivas said, her tone firm but soothing. "Fymnhendyr's like you—regressed from a powerful entity by the Genesis Core, into an Exo Human with all of her capabilities and higher existential prowess removed. You know crushing it felt to experience such a demoralizing event."

Samael already began to consider it. "I can see it in that perspective…"

Meanwhile, Fymnhendyr barely cared nor was struck with any kind of grief the moment she became a new host of the Genesis Core.

But Samael didn't need to knew that.

"She's not native to Fathomi either," Kivas continued. "Meaning that she is still new to the rules that are provided to any new inhabitant of this world."

Fymnhendyr nodded, her expression softening but still laced with mischief. "Indeed, I'm a stranger here. Still, this 'Well of the Soul' mechanic fascinates me—attributes, skills, soul prowess woven into existence itself. Quite the system for a realm like Fathomi.

"Don't worry," Fymnhendyr smiled with a wink. "I'll adapt, but I'll need time… and perhaps a guide." Her gaze lingered on Kivas, her smile widening.

Samael saw that gesture and immediately retracted her guilt.

Blanchette, who had been unusually quiet, spoke up, her voice trembling slightly. "Um, can I leave now? Since Kivas is back safe?"

Her red eyes darted to Samael, who smirked and flicked her hand.

"Alright, you're free to go now."

A faint shimmer of a killing formation spell—a lattice of void-infused runes encircling Blanchette—dissipated with a soft hum.

Blanchette exhaled deeply, her iconic wide smile returning, eyes closing in relief. "Thank the stars. I've got business with the Karasu Association envoys—politics, you know. I'll be off!"

She turned to leave, her white hair trailing like mist.

Kivas called after her, casual as if Blanchette hadn't just been trapped in a death spell. "Oh, Blanchette, grab the document from Oizys about the new Suiyen Concord trade deal. Make sure it's handled while you're at it!"

Blanchette waved without looking back, her voice sing-song around the matter. "Got it, dear sister! I'll see to it!"

She vanished into the periphery, her steps light but hurried, as if eager to escape the tension.

Samael crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing at Kivas. "You didn't ask Blanchette how this Fymnhendyr is supposed to help you or Vaingall. She endorsed that portal stunt, didn't she? What's her angle now?"

Kivas turned to the new Exo Human, who stood with a confident tilt of her head. "So, what do you bring to Vaingall?"

Fymnhendyr's smile turned enigmatic, her prismatic eyes glinting with gold. "For one, I possess knowledge of the Grimoire of Chaotic Learning, the whole trigger for this rescue mission that I imported to you."

"So I was right about this whole thing being a giant sham," Samael grumbled in a childish manner."

Fymnhendyr ignored the menacing and childish Endless One drilling a hole with her gaze. "I can tamper with its essence, meaning that in a way, I can help stabilize the chaotic aspect of it, ensuring that a proper knowledge can be extracted without waiting for hours and hours of appraisal."

Samael's irritation softened into intrigue, her wings folding slightly. "The Grimoire? If you can handle it, I'm listening."

"Actually, instead of listening, why not go straight to the presentation?"

"Then what are we waiting for?" Samael grinned, seeming excited to finally tackle the annoying Legendary-tier Curio Item.

Kivas nodded, her halo brightening with resolve. "Then let's go~"

The group—Kivas, Samael, Fymnhendyr, and Sarkha'una—moved swiftly across Vaingall's plains, the mythic grass and plants parting under their steps.

The Sanctum Vault loomed ahead, a structure pulsing with divine wards, its walls etched with runes that glowed faintly under Kivas's presence.

Inside, the Grimoire of Chaotic Learning rested on a pedestal, its leather-bound cover writhing with shifting glyphs, as if alive.

Fymnhendyr approached without fear. Her burnt sienna fingers traced the Grimoire's edges, the glyphs responding to her touch, calming into stable patterns.

"A fascinating artifact, now that I directly commune with it" she murmured, her voice carrying a hint of her former cosmic resonance. "Let's see what it offers."

After a mere five minutes, something seemed to occur.

Fymnhendyr turned to Sarkha'una, her tone commanding yet gentle. "Transcribe this rune formation, witch. The one forming now—quickly."

Sarkha'una blinked, startled by the authority from a supposed 'new hatchling' of Fathomi, but complied, her glyphic spine glowing as she sketched the runes in the air.

The formation materialized, a complex lattice of Eulanite sigils and void essence, swirling into a schematic unlike anything in Fathomi's records.

It depicted a catalyst—a shimmering orb of unknown material, its structure oscillating between solid and ethereal, laced with properties that defied Fathomi's physics.

Kivas's eyes widened, her halo flaring. "Is that… a new material?"

"Well, it is definitely something not native to Fathomi, as far as I remember," Samael commented.

Fymnhendyr's smile was triumphant, her antler-like horns catching the vault's light. "Indeed. A catalyst for powers beyond your realm's grasp."

"Well, you had certainly proved your worth, alright," Samael grinned. "I approved her stay here as the third host of Genesis Core."

"You said that as if you're the Matriarch of this family," Kivas teased.

"In a way, I kinda am."

Seeing that there was no more resistance to her existence in Vaingall, Fymnhendyr put on a triumphant smile. "I may lack my former might, my ability to weave realities, but my knowledge remains—a remnant of my higher existence~

"No mortal, no deity, holds what I do. This is but the beginning of what I offer Vaingall~"

Samael leaned closer, inspecting the schematic already, her skepticism fading completely. "Alright, I'll bite. If you can pull more of this, you're not just a flirty nuisance between me and Kivas."
