Chapter 30: Where is the honor between thieves?!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The disciple howled in agony as he crumpled to the ground, clutching his groin.
It was unclear if from this moment on he would still be a man
The onlookers flinched as they saw Feng Fan's kick land.
Reflexively, all those with jewels in the same vulnerable spot moved their hands to protect themselves, wincing as if they had taken the blow themselves.
"This Feng Fan is truly merciless!"
"I thought I was ruthless, but from now on, I'm declaring Feng Fan my teacher!"
"Hmph. He's undoubtedly strong, but attacking like that…Where's the honor? What kind of martial path is this?"
Before the first victim even fell to the ground, Feng Fan was already moving towards the next.
The disciple realized he was next and panicked. He quickly turned to flee, but how could Feng Fan let him escape without returning the favor? After all, he, Feng Fan, wasn't an ungrateful person.
Feng Fan brought his hands together, his index and middle fingers aimed directly at the disciple's vulnerable spot on his back.
Snake Entering The Cave!
His fingers tore through the disciple's clothes without mercy, sealing his fate just like Peng Hui's.
"ARRGH!"
Feng Fan didn't spare him a second glance. Instead, he scanned the arena, his smile widening.
'So many debts to settle, I hope they all get a dose of my affection.'
The third disciple, realizing he was next, tried to rally the mob.
"B-Brothers, let's attack together! We can still win this! Don't back down!"
They all knew they didn't stand a chance against Feng Fan alone, so they coordinated their attacks, hoping their numbers would overwhelm him.
"That's the spirit! The more you fight back, the more excited I get!" Feng Fan shouted with enthusiasm.
The crowd watched in a mix of awe and disgust.
It was impressive to see him handle so many opponents from the same realm on his own, but the nature of his attacks was another story.
His approach seemed limited to two tactics: penetrating from behind or smashing from the front.
Pained cries permeated the arena where only Feng Fan and the referee now stood. All others were motionless or agonizing in pain on the floor.
Feng Fan smiled, feeling satisfied with the results.
"Feng Fan is the winner!" the referee announced, his voice carrying both disbelief and a tinge of admiration.
'This kid may be shameless, but his strength is undeniable compared to others in the same realm. How have I never heard of him before? I need to recommend him to the elders to be trained,' the referee thought, his mind already racing with possibilities.
"All right. Thank you all—time to go home!" Feng Fan declared with a grin, brushing off the chaos he'd just caused.
With that, he left the arena in the same casual manner he had arrived.
By the time he reached his room, the adrenaline of the battle had faded, replaced by mental exhaustion. Without a second thought, he collapsed onto his bed and drifted off to sleep.
Meanwhile, his exploits remained the talk of the Fifth Peak low-level disciples.
Even a week later, his name would still be on everyone's lips, his shameless yet undeniably effective techniques sparking debates and leaving an indelible impression on those who witnessed the spectacle.
—
As Feng Fan drifted off to sleep, Zhang Qi, the former owner of the immortal's legacy map, was buzzing with anticipation.
"Finally, all the sect tasks for this month are done. Tomorrow, I, Zhang Qi, will claim the immortal's legacy!"
He reached under his futon, searching for the precious map. However, as his hands moved frantically, his expression darkened with every passing second.
"The map… my map… WHERE IS MY FUCKING MAP?!"
Zhang Qi erupted in fury. This was the same map he had pried from his dying junior brother's bloodied hands—an act as ruthless as it was opportunistic. And now, it had been stolen from him?
"Who could commit such a vile act?!" he roared internally, his fists trembling.
"Where is the honor between thieves?!"
—
After waking up, late at night, Feng Fan reflected on the techniques he had employed during his last battle.
"Although they seemed shameless, there was an indescribable beauty to them," he mused. The manual had stated that all Heaven's Suppression Arts embodied profound Dao laws, but how could he—someone who hadn't even reached the 1st Qi Gathering realm—possibly comprehend their depths?
Indeed, Feng Fan couldn't yet grasp their true essence. He could only imitate the techniques, allowing them to resonate naturally with their respective Dao.
"No point overthinking it now," he thought, shrugging off his concerns. "Maybe when I ascend to higher realms, the full potential of these techniques will reveal itself. There's no way a manual this powerful contains nothing but basic, low-level shameless moves."
"The more pressing matter... how do I complete my body remodeling? At best, I have four days before Zhang Qi realizes the map is missing. Hopefully, that's enough."
Feng Fan's thoughts turned grim as he pondered his predicament.
"If only the map hadn't vanished the moment I entered the place, I could have returned it and avoided this mess. Then again, Zhang Qi should be grateful to me. If I hadn't taken the map, the old soul inside that place would have stolen something far worse, his body."
A wry smile tugged at Feng Fan's lips as he considered the irony of the situation.
Knock, knock.
"Feng Fan, it's me, Huang Xue."
The gentle voice pulled Feng Fan from his spiraling thoughts. He blinked, pushing the musings aside, and got up from his futon.
Sliding the door open, he was greeted by the sight of Huang Xue standing outside. Her long hair was tied in a neat ponytail, swaying slightly as she shifted on her feet. She wore an aloof expression on her face.
"Hey, Huang Xue," Feng Fan said, leaning casually against the doorframe. "What brings you here so late?"
'I've been waiting for you to visit again… it's been almost a week, and you didn't come,' thought Huang Xue, her mind betraying her aloof expression.
Feng Fan, who heard her thoughts loud and clear, was taken aback. 'Did this girl actually miss me? Seriously?'
"Just passing by and thought I'd say hello to a friend," replied Huang Xue.
"Oh, sure. Come on in, then. Make yourself comfortable," Feng Fan responded with a warm smile, deciding not to call her out on the obvious. After all, he had never told her where he lived in the first place.
