Chapter 199: Other Distractions
They went to the suburbs at high speed. Alice seemed to be really enjoying the ride as her embrace didn't loosen in the slightest.
David still didn't know where they were going.
He kept moving straight ahead. That shouldn't be wrong since Alice didn't say anything.
In no time, they arrived at a road that led to another area where the area around the road was filled with farmlands with few villages. The atmosphere of the city had disappeared unless you looked back as the tall buildings of Washington DC were still visible from there.
However, a disturbance arose when they got there. There was an APV car that was moving fast and then matched the speed of the motorcycle driven by David.
At the same time, the glass of the car dropped down, revealing the people inside the car.
In the front passenger seat, David saw Timothy, a young man from the Rockefeller Family who wanted Erza's love but was flatly rejected.
He was with a group of men ranging in age from 20s to 30s.
They were all powerful Spiritual Beings.
Given their dignified-looking appearance, they were probably also members of the Rockefeller Family.
Their eyes stared at Alice, mesmerized by the woman's beauty, yet they did not seem to be aware that it was Alice of the Morgan Family.
Of course, they might not have seen Alice that often, but they had, but in situations like this, their brains tended to think that Alice was a woman they did not recognize.
On the other hand, Timothy showed an angry expression.
"Brat, how dare you cheat on Erza after being her boyfriend," he said in a harsh tone.
David was quite calm. Timothy's words didn't bother him. He looked at Alice, asking for her opinion.
By this time, Alice's eyes had turned cold.
"You kids, even your father doesn't dare to bother me," she said.
After she said that, blood flowed out of her hand in some way.
After that, the blood formed a long scythe.
Shua!
Alice slashed the scythe at Timothy's car from above.
Timothy and everyone in the car widened their eyes as they saw the power of blood that should only be possessed by Vampires.
Thinking of vampires and remembering Alice's face, they instantly thought of the Morgan Family's Alice, the woman even their family feared for her power and cruelty.
Was that woman really Alice?
How could she be with David? Shouldn't she be at the White House?
And why was she hugging David?
Various questions popped into their heads.
However, they couldn't think any longer as suddenly the car was sliced open by the long scythe.
The driver hurriedly stepped on the brake pedal because he was experienced enough to know that the car would be thrown uncontrollably if it split while it was at high speed.
Fortunately, all the people in the car were Spiritual Beings.
They managed to jump out through the windows, unaffected by Alice's attack.
"Stop!" Alice apparently asked David to stop.
It seemed that she wanted to teach them a lesson.
David did not object to her wishes. He stopped the motorcycle, parking it beside the road.
Alice immediately got off the motorcycle.
With the blood scythe in her hand, she stepped towards Timothy and the others.
They were all still confused now.
"I'll give you two choices. Slap your own faces or my scythe will cut your throats," Alice said in a cold tone, waking them up from their confusion.
Her threat made their hearts flutter.
It wasn't just a matter of the threat, but because they were helpless under it.
If it had been David threatening them, they would have naturally barked to scold him.
"Are you really Lady Alice?" Timothy forced himself to calm down, something he could do because he still had a strong grandfather.
His parents might not be able to protect him from Alice, but his grandfather, even Alice would think of fighting.
His eyes scanned Alice's figure, which actually only fascinated him.
She was truly indescribable with an outfit like that. Timothy didn't know if Alice had ever used such a style. As far as he remembered, she always used dresses.
Even if she went on such a dangerous adventure that wearing a dress would be unsuitable, Timothy thought Alice would at least wear long pants.
In the United States, there might not be anything wrong with such an outfit, but the elite who had the style of nobility tended to maintain a modest style.
"Don't you see?" replied Alice coldly.
That confirmed that she was really Alice.
Timothy and the others took a deep breath, feeling exhausted by this strangeness.
If she was only with David traveling by car, it would still be quite reasonable. The problem was that they were using a motorcycle that seemed to be specially prepared because of how luxurious it was. Plus the fact that Alice was hugging David so strongly.
Unless they were forced to use a motorcycle.
Alice was probably worried about falling due to the high speed so she had to hug David to balance her body.
Unfortunately such speculations seem very far-fetched.
"Lady Alice, why are you with him?" asked Timothy again.
"And hugging him?" he added.
When he said the last words, his voice was quite low.
He seemed to have forgotten about the fact that David was having an affair. His focus was now how could Alice do something like this.
"Why ask such a thing? Don't you see anything obvious?" This time, it was David who answered.
He stepped over to Alice, then held her hand other than the one holding the scythe.
Alice didn't mind having her hand held, and she even grasped his fingers.
Timothy and the others' mouths opened in astonishment.
"Dear Alice, I think we really need to give them a harsh punishment," David said, influencing her thoughts because he did not agree if they just slapped themselves in the face.
He wanted more than that though not to the point of killing them.
Hearing that, Alice strangely nodded immediately.
"Alright, I'll cut off their right hand and make it unable to grow back in any way," she said.
Shua!
She actually moved after she said that. Her speed was truly unreasonable. She arrived in front of Timothy and the others.
"Wait, Lady Alice, you can't do this," Timothy said.
Unfortunately, his words did not stop Alice.
She slashed the scythe, seemingly impossible for Timothy and the others to stop. In fact, they didn't even have time to use their powers as Alice's speed was too much.
And she only needed one slash to cut off the right hands of all of them.
"Ahhhhhhh..." Loud screams immediately resounded.
To David's surprise, Timothy and the others' hands did not bleed despite being cut.
However, there was a different kind of blood covering their wounds.
It obviously created immense pain as Timothy and the others could not stop screaming, even louder. Read the latest on m_v-l'e|m,p| y- r
They were panting, like they were almost dying.
Perhaps it was Alice's power, which probably damaged the cells inside their hands to make them unable to grow again even with spiritual things.
In no time, Timothy and the others turned deathly pale. Seemingly completely helpless.
After the pain disappeared, they seemed to have been severely traumatized.
They looked at Alice with rather blank eyes.
"Let's go," Alice said as she turned towards David.
She didn't seem to want to be there any longer.
"You're the best wife," David said, giving her a compliment but it didn't change the woman's expression.
After the fight, her expression was completely cold.
David laughed, knowing that it would take time for Alice to appear soft again.
He got on the motorcycle and started the engine then waited for Alice to get on.
She got on the motorcycle quickly.
However, she didn't hug him right away, she suddenly asked, "do you have a hat?"
"Mm..." David was somewhat surprised by her request.
Was Alice feeling hot? He wondered but did not ask Alice directly.
He took out a black hat for women from his storage ring and handed it to Alice.
The woman seemed to find the hat suitable as she nodded as she observed it.
"Thank you," she said as she put on the hat.
Her tone started to become rather soft.
After that, she hugged his waist again.
David smiled with this seemingly infinite romance.
Vrom!
He started the motorcycle, turning the gas hard directly so that the motorcycle went off like a bolt of lightning.
Timothy and the others kept watching them. Their mouths were open.
This completely obvious fact made them seem confused as to how the world worked now. Wasn't it their family that controlled the world? But there seemed to be something out of control.
"Honey, aren't you worried about the conflict between the Morgans and the Rockefellers?" David asked Alice because of how unafraid she was to attack the young people of the Rockefellers.
After all, that family was still stronger than the Morgans even if it was only slightly.
