Chapter 196: Date After Married
Those two auras seemed to be the auras of Evelyn and Alice. They did not release them, but their auras were in a state of readiness to explode.
This was only possible if they were fighting, at least fighting through talking.
It had not been half an hour since he left them and now that something like this had happened, David did not know whether to laugh or cry.
He quickly stood up, but he asked Erza to stay there. He was worried that her presence would only add to the conflict.
This could only be stopped by him, the young man they loved.
Arriving upstairs, he found Mira standing in front of the door, but not daring to enter.
He quickened his pace, beckoning her aside with a wave of his hand.
Then he opened the door, and went straight in and closed it again because he didn't want anyone to see.
The sight inside the private room instantly stunned David.
Evelyn was lying on the table while Alice pressed her neck with one hand while her other hand held a short spear made of blood, pointed at Evelyn's face, ready to pierce it.
However, the lying Evelyn was also not just standing still.
Right behind Alice's back, there were several knives floating in the air, ready to pierce her back.
"Come on, do it, let's see who dies first!" Evelyn was not frightened. She provoked Alice who showed a cold expression with eyes filled with killing intent.
"What are you two doing?" David immediately spoke, but did not immediately approach for fear of one of them making an unintentional move.
He wouldn't be able to stop them if they actually tried to kill each other in that position.
Only after he spoke did they realize that he had come.
They both simultaneously stared at him.
Alice furrowed her brows, as if she did not want David to come so that she could settle things here.
As for Evelyn, she smiled faintly.
"Honey, look at your new lover, she's so grumpy, suddenly attacking me," Evelyn said in a complaining tone.
While saying that, she seized the opportunity to get away from Alice's pressure.
With one move, she managed to jump to David's side.
Alice also stopped trying to attack, but she continued to stare at Evelyn with sharp eyes.
"Honey, I'm sorry, but I have to go back to Europe soon," Evelyn said again.
Her lips moved quickly to his cheek, giving him a single kiss.
She then opened the door and left with hasty steps.
David furrowed his brows, still not understanding what happened.
As for Alice, she sat on the sofa, still looking upset.
David knew that he needed to put her in a good mood. He walked over to her and sat beside her, holding her hand with one hand while his other hand stroked her hair.
"Alice dear, what's got you so upset?" he asked in a soft tone.
Soothing this cold middle-aged woman was something pleasant. David didn't feel bad when he did it.
"That woman is asking to be killed," Alice replied, still with a cold tone but the coldness was not directed at David.
She picked up the cup filled with warm milk and drank it quickly until it was gone.
Only then did she seem to calm down somewhat.
Her eyes looked into David's face, becoming rather soft.
To David's surprise, she suddenly leaned into his body, like she wanted to be hugged.
Even her hand held his.
Of course, he likes it when she wants to be pampered, he hugged her and kissed her head.
"By the way, Leonardo just came, he told Erza to tell you to go to the White House immediately," David said.
Although he would have preferred to have Alice with him, he did not want to interrupt her work.
Hence, he told her this.
"No need, I'm not going to the White House for the next two days," she said, much to David's surprise.
"Why, aren't you the President? You should always be at the White House," David said.
Surprisingly, Alice hugged him right after he spoke.
More surprisingly, her lips curled slightly. She was actually smiling, a more charming smile.
"Don't you want to stay with me?" she asked.
"We can take a walk first, after all, we are newly married, we should spend more time together," she added.
This came as a surprise to David.
"What about your work?" he asked.
"Do you know, the President of the United States actually almost always lives in the White House. The one who walks around outside is someone else who replaces him with a mask." Alice replied.
Of course, David had heard the rumors many times, but he wasn't sure if they were true or not.
"You want someone else to replace you?" David asked.
"It doesn't matter as long as it's done by my person. I'll ask Erza to impersonate me. She's up to the task." Alice showed an even more charming smile when she said that.
"Let's go," she added, putting on her shawl and standing up.
David's eyes were shining. Not only was Alice opening up to him more and more, she was actually blatantly saying that she wanted to spend more time with him.
This, of course, was wonderful.
He hurriedly followed her out of the private room.
The waiting Mira was still confused and became even more confused as Alice suddenly said, "Mira, give me your car key."
"What?" Mira said that spontaneously because Alice had never asked for the car key.
Did she want to drive herself?
Of course, Mira didn't dare refuse the order. She handed the car key to him.
After that, the woman suddenly handed the car key to David.
"You will drive," she said.
David accepted the key with a faint smile because he knew that Alice didn't want anyone else to follow them. Mira would be left behind for a while.
After that, they went downstairs.
Erza was still waiting, knitting her brows as she stared at her mother.
Her instincts seemed to instantly tell her that something was wrong.
"Erza!" Alice called out to the woman, signaling her to come closer.
"What's wrong?" Erza asked.
"Go to the White House, and impersonate me, I'm sure you know what you need to do," Alice replied.
"What?" Erza was as surprised as Mira when she was asked to hand over the car key by Alice.
Of course, this time Mira was more surprised.
Alice didn't explain more, she continued her steps towards the car while Mira stopped her steps beside Erza as she already knew that she would be left behind.
As for David, he winked at Erza, as if asking her to help her mother well.
With her intelligence and naughty mind, Erza quickly figured out what these two people were really planning.
Her face showed astonishment as she looked at her mother.
She then followed them, wanting to see them off.
Arriving beside the car, David went straight into the driver's room while Alice went into the front room for passengers. She no longer went into the back room.
Vrom!
The car left immediately, heading in the opposite direction of the White House.
Surprisingly just as they were leaving, Leonardo's car returned, coming from the direction of the White House.
Leonardo stopped his car next to the window in front of the restaurant as Erza and Mira stood there.
He rolled down his window, looking at Erza with furrowed brows.
"Where did your mom go?" he asked.
At this moment, he actually felt a very bad premonition because he knew that Alice left with David, just the two of them.
To this, Erza also had trouble answering. Her lips opened and closed.
It took a while before she could speak.
"Dad, mother asked me to replace her for a while," she said in a rather low voice.
Hearing that, Leonardo's complexion turned slightly pale.
Erza naturally didn't dare to say more, worried that her father would have a heart attack due to jealousy.
'It seems that my mother is destined to be with David. My father married her when he was young but he couldn't get her love. But David, even though he was much younger than my mother, he managed to make my mother comfortable with him to the point that she postponed her work just so she could spend more time with him.'
Erza didn't know whether to laugh or cry as she thought that.
In the car, Alice took off her shawl, and let her hair down.
She stared at the rearview mirror where Leonardo's car was clearly visible.
However, she didn't seem to care that much.
"Honey, where are we going?" David asked her.
Alice turned her gaze towards him as she was asked by him.
"Do you want luck?" She asked in response.
She apparently asked back.
Of course, they were walking around on a date, but people like them couldn't just walk around without direction. They need a purpose, and maybe a little adventure.
Later that night, they could continue the fun.
"If there's any luck from you, I naturally don't refuse," David replied with a faint smile. Read exclusive content at m_v-l'e|m,p-y r
His heart was racing somewhat now as he wondered what luck Alice would give him.
This might be something that could increase his strength.
"The journey is quite far from this city," Alice said after he answered.
Then, she pointed at a clothing store.
"Stop there for a while, I want to change my clothes first," she added.
David was a bit surprised to hear that, he replied, "I have plenty of clothes, why buy more?"
After all, she could change in the car, that's why David was confused, unless she was embarrassed to change in front of him, but that was unlikely since they had already spent the night naked.
"I just want to go clothes shopping for a while," Alice replied, saying that it was just because she wanted to.
David smiled wryly and finally complied with her request.
After the car stopped, Alice immediately got out of the car. Of course, with a scarf covering her face.
She also took a mask from the dashboard drawer.
