Chapter 62: Team battle.

Tahir brought the ship down with careful precision, landing it in a rocky clearing surrounded by sparse trees and uneven terrain. As the door opened, he stepped out, immediately scanning the area. His team Esha, Zahra, Kris, Cassy, and Jude followed, each one alert and ready for what was to come.

Before Tahir could even speak, the sound of footsteps broke the silence. A group of figures emerged from the shadows across the clearing, their intent clear. The leader of the opposing faction stepped forward with a cold smirk.

"We're here to settle things," he said without hesitation, eyes flicking over the team. "You think you can take Two Fang for yourself?"

Tahir raised a hand, his voice steady but firm. "We don't have to fight. We can....."

But before he could finish his sentence, the attackers charged. Weapons were drawn, and the air thickened with tension.

Esha reacted instantly, positioning herself in front of Tahir. A shimmering barrier formed in front of her, blocking the first wave of attacks. The sound of metal clashing against her shield rang out, but the attackers were halted in their tracks.

"Nice block, Esha," Tahir called, his stance already shifting as he prepared for the next move. "Let's show them what we can do."

Zahra, grinning, raised her hand. Ice daggers shot into her palm, sharp and ready. With a swift motion, she hurled them at the advancing attackers. The daggers struck with precision, forcing the attackers to dodge or retreat.

Kris, never one to back down from a fight, met one of the attackers head-on. He used his enhanced strength to knock the man off balance with a solid punch, sending him crashing into the ground with a satisfying thud. Another attacker tried to catch Kris off guard, but he effortlessly blocked the strike with his forearm, his opponent's weapon snapping in the process.

Behind him, Cassy focused her telekinesis. Nearby rocks and debris levitated, her power sending them flying toward the attackers. The rocks hit with great force, knocking two men off their feet.

At the same time, Jude, who had been observing the battle from the side, saw an opportunity. He raised his hands, and the ground beneath the attackers trembled. From the earth, a series of golems rose up, formed from rocks and dirt. The golems charged forward, their stone fists swinging wildly at the opposing faction members. Each strike was a heavy blow that sent the attackers stumbling back.

Jude also sent an earth spike shooting up from the ground, impaling the ground in front of the faction leader, forcing him to jump back and reevaluate his approach. The sheer force of the spike made the attackers reconsider their aggression.

As the opposing faction members regrouped, Tahir moved through the battlefield, using swift kicks and punches to keep his opponents at bay. One attacker swung a blade at him, but Tahir ducked and countered with a powerful kick to the man's midsection, sending him sprawling.

Despite the intense fight, the leader of the opposing faction was still determined. He waved his hand, signaling for his team to push forward. "Don't hold back!" he shouted. "Finish them!"

But Esha expanded her shield, the barrier growing wider to protect the team. Zahra, already prepared, threw more ice daggers, forcing the attackers to scatter. Kris used his strength to launch one of the assailants across the clearing, while Cassy launched another rock barrage, distracting the attackers and giving her team the edge they needed.

Tahir, seeing his chance, turned to the faction leader, calling out to him once more. "It doesn't have to end this way. Stand down, and we can talk this out."

But the leader's face remained set in a grim expression. "No one backs down. This is how it ends."

With that, the battle continued to rage. The attackers pressed on, but the team of Tahir and his allies were more than a match for them. The leader, seeing the strength of the team, decided to retreat momentarily, calling his people to fall back.

Tahir, noticing the shift, called out, "Let's finish this. We can settle this now talk it out, or we can fight until the end."

The opposing leader hesitated, eyeing Tahir carefully, but then he signaled his team to charge once more.

The fight raged on, but it became clear that Tahir's team was gaining the upper hand. Esha, Zahra, Kris, Cassy, and Jude moved in sync, each playing their part flawlessly. Esha's defensive blocks held strong against the incoming attacks, while Zahra's ice daggers created barriers and strikes that forced their enemies back. Kris used his raw strength to knock the earth-wielders off their feet, and Cassy's telekinesis kept them off balance, unable to find solid ground. Jude's golems and earth spikes helped pin down the opposing faction, immobilizing them one by one.

Tahir's eyes remained locked on the leader, who had yet to make a move. His stance was defensive, as if waiting for the right moment to strike. As the fight unfolded, Tahir's team methodically subdued the earth-wielding attackers, and the leader's calmness began to falter.

The leader narrowed his eyes at Tahir. "You think you've won?" he spat, his voice tense. "We're not like the others."

Tahir didn't respond. Instead, his aura expanded, his power slowly seeping out. It was a palpable pressure, enough to make the ground beneath him tremble. His team continued their work, keeping the remaining enemies restrained.

"I told you," Tahir spoke evenly, his gaze never leaving the leader, "next time, I won't leave any of you alive."

The leader's hands glowed with earth energy as he attempted to summon a powerful strike. But Tahir was quicker. He moved in, sidestepping the leader's attack, and grabbed his arm, twisting it behind his back. A loud crack echoed through the air as the leader screamed in pain, his arm broken.

Tahir held the leader in place, his grip firm as he glared down at him. "You should have listened," he said, his tone low but filled with finality.

With a swift motion, Tahir delivered a punch to the leader's chest, sending him crashing to the ground. The fight was over.

The remaining faction members were completely immobilized, trapped by rocks and ice, unable to move or escape. Jude's golems, Cassy's telekinesis, and Esha's blocking abilities had rendered them powerless.

Tahir looked down at the leader, who was now on the ground, gasping for breath. "You won't be so lucky next time," he said, his voice cold.

The leader could only glare up at him, unable to speak, broken and defeated. Tahir turned to his team, a nod of approval toward them. "Let's finish this."

With the opposing faction completely subdued, Tahir's team prepared to move out, leaving behind a clear message that the Devil's Dune was not to be underestimated.
