My Tribrid System.

Chapter 31: Level Up faster.

After that battle, Tahir knew he needed improvement. In a battle like the one he just had with Bloody Saint, he knew martial arts wouldn't help much, so he needed to level up fast.

Explaining his predicament to his friends, he asked for their opinions.

"I think you should actually learn martial arts. You said you were a trained assassin. Some assassins don't actually learn martial arts, as they focus more on stealth. The only power they have is the element of surprise. Assassins are trained to track you down until they have you wide open before killing you. Hand-to-hand combat would suit you, considering your brute strength and speed," Kris said.

"I agree with Kris. But From the battle we just watched, you can't defeat Bloody Saint without having an ability that can perfectly counter his. Even if you mastered all forms of martial arts, it would be nearly impossible to counter his ability, but maybe your mysterious ability can counter his. Just remember, it's only a suggestion," Zahra added.

Throughout the discussion, as different ideas were brought up, Tahir noticed Cassy staring into the abyss, as if she wasn't with them anymore.

"You alright, Cassy?" Tahir asked.

"Am I? I don't think so. The organization called yesterday to inquire about how my plan is coming along. How do we give them the sword? Would you let me take it?. I don't anyone to die because of me again please" Cassy answered.

"The sword. I almost forgot! I'm going to make a replica, an identical sword, the only difference would probably be the material used. A sword which you can give to them. Since they want a sword, we're going to give it to them," Tahir replied, a smirk curling on his lips.

"Do you think they are foolish enough not to notice? They've been keeping tabs on you longer than you think," Cassy said, shaking her head.

"I know I was being followed, just like almost everyone here. It's not meant to fool them; it's intended to delay them for some time. I'm done running. I'm going to go after them and kill anyone who gets in my way. To do that, I need your help," Tahir said with a serious tone.

"What help do you need?" Esha was the first to ask.

"I need to take blood. Not necessarily much, but I need blood to evolve. I don't fully understand this form of mine yet, but I think taking different blood types would aid in that," Tahir answered.

"If you're suggesting we give you our blood, then I have no objections," Kris said.

"Neither do I," Jude answered.

"Argh! You guys always make the decision first. I have no choice; I'm in too."

"Same here," Esha added.

"Alright, thank you all for your help. I'm grateful," Tahir said as he took his kunai and pierced their hands one by one, extracting a reasonable amount of blood from them that wouldn't land them in the medical bay.

As he took the blood, a system prompt appeared.

[Different blood type consumed by host]

[Host gained two points added to strength, one to agility, and one to stamina]

'Fascinating! So different attributes of blood grant stat points. System, show me my stats,' Tahir thought as the system popped up.

[User: Tahir]

[Race: Vampire Halfling]

[Level: 2]

[105/200 EXP]

[HP: 15/15]

[Strength: 13]

[Agility: 12]

[Stamina: 12]

"This is fairly okay," Tahir muttered.

"I need to head to the forge. I'll create the sword soon. It should be ready in about a week or two, and the school will close in a month from now," Tahir said as he stood up.

"See you guys later. I'm off to train a little," Zahra said as she walked away, slowly disbanding the group.

"I need to head to John's office first," Tahir thought as he headed there.

Knocking on the door, Tahir opened it and didn't see John. All he saw was an active teleporter. Without thinking twice, he ventured into the portal. As soon as he stepped in, a large bull-like beast charged at him with full speed.

Slamming his leg into the ground, Tahir braced for impact as the beast's sharp horn pierced his stomach.

[-3 HP]

"Shit," Tahir cursed under his breath.

The beast tried to lift its prey from the ground, but for some reason, this prey wasn't budging. A weird smile spread across his lips as Tahir lifted the beast by the horn before slamming it right into the ground. A large roar could be heard from the beast.

A roar filled with anger. Charging forward again, the beast attempted the same thing, but Tahir didn't give it space. He stabbed his dagger into the beast's neck multiple times as blood gushed out.

Moving back, the beast tried to escape. It could see it was the prey and not the predator. It had just taken a few steps when it collapsed. Losing too much blood had caused it to die.

[A brute bull has been killed +10 EXP]

[A basic tier beast crystal has been obtained]

Immediately, the message appeared, and Tahir saw the crystal vanish instantly.

"I think I've already found a way to level up," Tahir said as he started exploring this strange planet, forgetting he had initially come looking for John.

Going deeper into the planet, he kept encountering bull-like beasts and continued killing them. After ten kills, the system stopped giving him EXP for each one.

Tahir didn't know how long he had been there, but he was sure time was passing.

He had walked a bit when he saw a cave. Deciding to rest before going further into the planet, he almost drifted into sleep when he felt something cold. Unconsciously slapping it away, he realized it kept coming back. Thinking it was a bug, he opened his sleepy eyes to find a large serpent. This wasn't just any snake; it was obviously a beast.

Wrapping itself around Tahir's neck and body, he could hear his bones cracking. Blood began to seep from his mouth as he let out a loud scream.

---

John was almost done setting up his tent. Before entering to sleep, he was creating a Qi trap. At first, it felt like a lot of these traps had been triggered from the start of this planet, but he ignored it, thinking it was just a beast stampede.

Now, however, he heard a large scream and that scream sounds familiar. Grabbing his sword, he headed toward the source of the scream.

---

"Kid, is this how you choose to die?" Shaw asked the now-struggling Tahir.

Tahir could feel his life flashing before his eyes; he could see everything. 'So, this is how it ends, huh? This is how I let her promise die again? This is how I let her sacrifice go to waste? No! I refuse to let fate win again.

I refuse to die,' Tahir thought to himself as he activated Qi overload.

As he activated it, the serpent began to uncurl, and he couldn't believe his eyes—his prey's power output had just increased by at least 5%. He uncurled and headed to safety when Tahir stamped his feet on the snake's body, rendering it useless.

Seeing no way out, the beast bit Tahir, hoping to weaken him with its poison. Tahir felt his legs tingling from the poison, but eventually, the tingling stopped.

"Poison? I've been taking poison almost all my life; I'm now immune to it!" Tahir screamed.

Wasting no time, Tahir took his dagger and attempted to stab the beast, but it wasn't going through. Its silky skin made it hard to penetrate. "There are other ways to kill you!" Tahir shouted as he grabbed the beast by its head. Activating his skill, blood hardening, he crushed its skull until the beast stopped moving.

Ding!

[A legendary tier beast has been killed]

[A legendary tier beast crystal has been obtained]

[+50 EXP]

"What did I just witness?" John thought to himself.

Clapping his hands, John said, "Why did you lie to the military about having no ability?"

"Lie? I didn't. I really don't have any ability," Tahir replied.

"Then what was that construct you just created over your hands? I'm pretty sure it isn't Qi," John said.

"It's a long story, John. Let's sit down before I explain everything to you. I think it's time to tell you everything about myself," Tahir said, moving closer to John.

"Let's go. I've set up a tent down here. I was there when I heard you scream," John said.

Once they reached the tent, Tahir began, "This is going to be a weird and long story."

He was about to tell John everything about himself, the Shadow Fang, and the girl.

He trusted John for some unknown reason; he believed John would actually be on his side. There was something about him, something in how he was ready to train him. Something about his strength. "I believe in him," Tahir thought to himself.
