The tongue instantly burst into flames, emitting the charred smell of protein. But then, it snapped, detaching the burning section and regrowing a new tongue at an incredible speed.

Suddenly realizing something, Luo Xiu glanced at the ground beneath them. Cursing inwardly, he grabbed Su Shanyue and dashed to the side. Almost at the exact same instant, a large patch of sand where they had been standing caved in. A massive creature the size of a house erupted from below, its cavernous mouth wide open!

At the same time, a terrifying aura descended upon the area, weighing heavily on body and soul.

"I nearly managed to wear this little girl down to complete exhaustion, and now you, boy, have to get in the way. In that case, I might as well devour both of you today!"
